Grand Cafe @ Omni Los Angeles
*2-hour seating limit per reservation for special weekend brunch buffet.
Favorite place for Fathers day brunch...
There were limited selections and some of the dishes did not have a lot of flavor (fried chicken). Additionally, the crab wasn't very fresh and it was hard to get any meat out since the shells were so soggy.
It wasn't worth the $60/head cost.
Yes, reservation using Open Table was spot on. Service by waiter Abraham was personal and cordial. Manager Dragan was also very professional and available. Omelette station was busy, but cook did his best to accommodate 4 orders simultaneously.
IT WAS A WONDERFUL FAHTER'S DAY BRUNCH, THE SERVICE WAS AMAZING AND ALL THE FOOD WAS GREAT. I WILL RETURN AGAIN FOR SURE
It was an excellent experience. The food was extremely good; however, I thought that that the desserts were not distinctive and were just average. The atmosphere was extremely loud; however, I adjusted as that is probably of buffets with all of the hustle and bustle . The service was really good. The hotel and the room were quite nice.
Not a lot of variety but what is offered was delicious. Egg Benedict were the best part.
Very good food. Worth the price
Great value for the money
Awesome brunch!! Excellent food and service. Will definitely return.
The brunch buffet here is one of the best kept secrets of Los Angeles! The spread of food is great with a wide variety of types of cuisine, a delicious seafood bar, and unlimited mimosas! I almost don't want to leave a positive review to keep the secret!
I made a reservation online for 2:150 PM. I found out later at the restaurant that the food was going to be put away in 30 minutes, at 3 PM. My understanding was, based on your website, the buffet was open until 5 PM. It's terrible that you mislead your customers that way. I am so disappointed with your business ethics. You will lose customers that way.
A hidden Gem and definitely a place that makes your heart happy. The food was delicious and the variety was everything. They were able to maintain the quality while serving buffet style. Can't wait to go back!!
The buffet was good but expensive for what it was. Was enjoyable enough but I likely wouldn’t come back.
coffee was cold food was cold not worth the price they charge
VERY loud!!!! Food was abundant but most of buffet selections were dry and over done.
Maitre'd greeting was well prepared and had our reservation on record, plus offered a rose for Mother's Day. Waiter was very courteous and attentive. Chilean Sea Bass was particularly impressive, well prepared and served. Omelette station cook was very skillful and fast.
Mother’s Day brunch. It was crowded, as expected, but we didn’t mind. They initially had us sitting outdoors, but my kid was having a severe allergy attack, and they graciously accommodated us.
The service and ambiance was great, but the food was just ok. Some of the dishes were fine, but the selection for a buffet was slimmer than other buffets out there. Again, I get that it’s Mother’s Day, but was expecting more.
Great food great service one of the best brunch Buffett’s in Los Angeles! They have options from all different cuisines and also have hot and cold crab shrimp to die for
Great brunch usually but excellent on Mother’s Day 2019!
Our servers, Abraham & Daniel were so attentive and gracious even with the restaurant so packed. The two hosts that checked us in were amazing as well. My party of 2 was there around 1pm but I didn’t get the hosts names. Anyway they made my mother feel extra special. Omni will be our go-to spot for brunch from now on.
Mother’s Day brunch menu included “Chillian Sea Bass”... nice try, in my opinion it was not chillian sea bass... it was regular sea bass - they just poured some melted butter on it to make it taste like chillian sea bass... I felt cheated... we all did... will not return again.
We got seated very quickly. The food was all excellent. A lot of variety. The seafood was all fresh. Service was really good. Drinks got refilled consistently. I would definitely go back again.
The food is excellent, but the price per child is overpriced because kids don’t ear that much.
Like the atmosphere, mac and cheese really good, and the champagne nonstop. Great place to host a brunch with friends.
My family and friends have eaten here for brunch several times now and we are in love with the variety of food prepared, the good taste and the quality of food that you get for the price. I had an aunt visiting here for my nephew’s wedding and I decided to have a brunch for about 15 ppl for her pre-birthday. Everything was great as usual; however I will note that it was a cool overcast day and there was another large two long table group seated on the patio with us that took all but two of the heaters. Clearly our table needed one more heater to keep our table comfortable and we had to continue to inquire about moving the heaters fairly to accommodate. Eventually the waiter went to get another one; which resolved the issue. My point is that it appeared that he just didn’t feel like getting another one and we shouldn’t have had to ask as many times as we did. Other than that experience; the customer service was exceptional for my group and my aunt was very happy and pleased.
I checked in not sure why I wasn’t eligible for pts.
We’ve been going to brunch for Easter at the Omni Los Angeles for 3 years. Unfortunately their brunch failed to meet our expectations. We arrived at 2:30pm to a under stock and picked over buffet. We also noticed that the food options were very limited compare to previous years. The service was good but the food was not worth the price. We will likely do Fleming’s next year for Easter brunch.
Food was good. We went on Easter so it was a little pricey so my expectations were a tad higher. Not enough help I would say. The waffle station was always empty..they were popular so you had to wait for each waffle. A little irritating. Salad area lacked a little imagination and the desserts looked like a 4th grader did the presentation. Not very appeasing to the eye. Taste of most dishes were good but for $70 on holidays, location can't be the reason for the hike. You have to be a little extraordinary.
Easter brunch buffet perfection! It was our first time dining here, and we loved it. There was a good array of brunch items, carving table meats, and fresh seafood. I really enjoyed everything I ate and thought it was delicious. The sparkling wine that was included was the perfect touch. My toddler also loved seeing the Easter Bunny and stalked him all over the restaurant.
I really like this place for Client meetings. We can hear each other talk - which is important.
This place is amazing! The food is delicious and the variety is par to none. You can have a variety of cultural cuisines and breakfast favorites. The fruits, especially the berries are fresh and top of line. The service is great, as well. Friendly, respectable, and just wonderful!! If you're lucky you'll sit in Sandra's section. She is the best!! Cant wait to go back!!! Enjoy the mimosas!!!!
I have been here with my family many times and the Grand Cafe never disappoints! Wonderful and friendly service with delicious food. A great place to take kids as well!
This was my sister's first time and it was her birthday. She really enjoyed everything.
Had a great time! Great atmosphere!
I took a young friend to lunch. She loved it and said it will become her choice to have lunch from now on. It has been my favorite place for many years.
What a nightmare of an experience. I was under the impression that this would be a great place for brunch due to the reviews I read... was I wrong. As soon as we walk in we noticed how loud and it was only getting louder. It was so loud the waiter asked us if we wanted to be moved to a different table. We said no because we were trying to get out of there as fast as we can. The food was dry and far below mediocre. The menu and pictures they have online is not the same to the food they actually have. There were children running around and licking the glass windows. Also, parents were yelling through the glass windows as their kids were playing outside. Homeless people walking around thinking the yelling parents were trying to talk to them. The only thing that this place will get credit for is that we had a good server.
Because the restaurant is located in the Omni hotel you would think you'd be getting a over the top brunch experience. But, at the price you pay for this brunch there should be way more options... I've paid less & have had plentiful food options. I wanted this to be my go to brunch spot. But, I can't say I'd return.
Our server Augustus was the best, very attentive and friendly. But the selection of food is not comparable to the other Sunday Brunch in other hotels. There is less selection here and taste is less too.
