Limited menu but great flavors. Limited seated so make reservation
We had an amazing anniversary dinner!! Staff was outstanding and ambiance was perfect :)
Our experience at Granada was one we will remember for all the wrong reasons. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary together (which I had stated on the reservation) and not a single employee touched on this nor made any effort to help make us feel welcomed. The location and ambiance of the restaurant were fantastic, however the food and service was not.
First time at Grenada Bistro and definitely not our last. Great service, food and vibe. One of our new favorites in SLO.
Outstanding dining experience! The ambiance was so romantic with fire and candles. We loved the very friendly staff who gave great suggestions and went the extra mile. We highly recommend this for a date or get together with adults. We even moved to the lobby for lattes and our server checked on us regularly meeting our every need!
From the moment we walked into Granada Bistro, we felt welcomed. Our server, Matt, was terrific, attentive, warm, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious, locally sourced, beautifully prepared and presented. We will be sure to repeat the experience the next time we visit SLO!
We had a wonderful meal here.

It is cozy and has nice bar
Too cold to sit outside but patio looked inviting!
Great food combinations and seasonings '
We had the fried chicken special. It was delicious!
Very disappointing experiencing. During a visit to SLO we had dinner at this restaurant. We had to wait to be seated for reservation which was ok but then we had only been seated 5 mins , when the server asked if we were ready . No , just drinks right now . Food was disappointing and extremely salty . Table next to us sent back their hamburger as it was overly salty. The wait time from appetizer to main course was way too long. Not once did our sever check on us . Maybe just an off night but I would not recommend or dine here again . $100 wasted .
Great choices in small plates and entrees. Food was tasty. We sat outside , there were plenty of heaters to keep you warm, and the ambience was romantic.
Wait staff was very attentive, pleasant and responsive.
I would recommend this restaurant, make reservations.
Food is always awesome here although it’s a bit pricy. Great bartenders. Specialty drink menu is always changing, however, if you know what you like just describe your flavors and they’ll make some great suggestions. They also make sure you’re happy with the choice before they walk away. Great experience and great pre fixe menu for Valentines Day this year.
Excellent food and great service. I will definitely come back.
Great meal but wished there were more options or a special to offer more variety
Loved it! Granada always has wonderful food and great service.
I have been to Granada before. This time it was for my daughter's birthday. It was perfect overall all the way around. Only exception was the food was slow to come out and in between appetizer and main the wait was even longer. Not sure if they were understaffed in the kitchen that night.
It was a beautiful evening celebrating our friends birthday. Service and food outstanding ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dining outside was enjoyable and service was great. Everything we had was delicious but if I had to mention one improvement it would be more vegetarian choices.
The dinner was outstanding as well as was the service. Such a great place to go prior to seeing Kinky Boots.
We ate at Granada during restaurant month and had a great time. The food was all very good, and the optional wine pairing was delicious. It can feel a little crowded on the patio, but the ambience is lovely. You could definitely spend a good chunk of change here - delicious, but worth knowing in advance. It is also pretty darkly lit, so if you have trouble reading you might want to be sure to remember your glasses!
The food was really good. The ambiance was dark and intimate. Only frustrating part was that we had made reservations and still had to wait 15-20 minutes until we were seated. There was no seating anywhere so we had to stand in the hotel lobby while we waited for our table.
I enjoyed my dinner at Granada, but my husband and friend didn't as much. I had a great whiskey sour (made the traditional way) and my friend had wine that tasted like it had turned. The waiter later said it was a "funky" wine. It would have been good to know that before ordering. She ordered gnocchi, which was priced in the mid 20s for a handful of gnocchi. I really enjoyed my entree of hangar steak, potatoes, and chimichurri. My husband had a hamburger (I heard from others that it was delicious) but he said it was really salty. For dessert, we ordered apple empenadas that were decent any my husband had the key lime cheesecake that was essentially frozen over. He couldn't really eat it because it was so hard. Overall, we enjoyed the ambiance but not everyone in my party liked their meals.
I have been wanting to try Granada Bistro forever. As a local, I couldn’t wait to sit out on the romantic outdoor patio. The restaurant has great ambiance and our server and additional staff were wonderful. The cheese plate and wine selection we enjoyed very much. Then it kind of went downhill. It took so long to get our meal (gnocchi and pork chop - so nothing too involved), that our server brought us some olives to eat and apologized. Everyone else seemed to be getting their food in a timely fashion, so I’m not sure what happened. When our main courses arrived, they were just ok. The pumpkin gnocchi were completely bland and there was no salt or pepper on the table. I didn’t want to offend by asking for seasoning, so I just didn’t finish the meal. We had budgeted over two hours to eat before we had to be somewhere else, thinking that would be plenty of time for drinks, appetizer, meal and dessert, but by the time we were eating our main course we were almost out of time. I asked our server if we could order dessert while we were eating dinner and she “put a rush” on it for us. (I didn’t want to miss out on part of the experience even though we were cutting it close). We paid the check while we were waiting for dessert and our apple empanadas arrived just in time. They were very good, but we had to inhale them and run to our event (which luckily was close by). This was a special occasion for us - and more expensive than we normally would spend - but we figured it would be worth it. I’d say it was just ok. The staff and the ambiance are what saved it for us. The food...not so much. If we go again I’d say it would just be for drinks and appetizers. But I was glad to finally get to go! Thanks for the easy reservation!
Do not split tickets and we had 10 before Women’s Rally! No substitutes - couldn’t do fruit for potatoes but food was decent and coffee was good!
The restaurant month menu is fantastic and our waiter was extremely attentive without being pushy or coming by too often. Great experience all around!
As always, food, atmosphere and service were excellent. Our favorite in SLO.
This was a visit during restaurant month, so they were ostensibly putting there best foot forward. Disappointing would be too kind. The service was great. But the food was poor to mediocre. Its hard to ruin a Caesar salad, but they did. Too much dressing (by far) and covered with very fine bread crumbs that were like eating sand. Really unpleasant. The main course of "prawns" were really medium sized shrimp, oversauced with a too sweet sort of Asian sauce. Edible but really pretty amateurish. I won't be back.
On the positive side, the wine pairing was sensational. Really good all European wines.
Never disappointed with Granada. The outdoor patio with the heaters has a lovely atmosphere, and the food is always fresh, seasonal and delicious. The cocktails are Interesting Too!
We, a party of four, went to the Granada for a get together and because it is Restaurant Month in San Luis Obispo. Our reservation was at 6:45. We were promptly seated outside. It was a bit windy and we were offered nice big, heavy blankets for our laps, so nice. Service was excellent. It is so nice to have a professional server, Angee, take good care of us. Back staff was great, too. Everyone was cheerful and pleasant. The meal was excellent and the best $40 meal I believe I have ever had. Fried Brussels sprouts, cauliflower soup and excellent prawns over forbidden rice. We are very happy to not have dessert, so it worked perfectly for all of us. I think we will have to go back for the same meal before the end of January, so, so good!
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious ! Service was beyond great and very professional !
Thanks for a great evening.
I booked this place for a recent trip to SLO. It was even better than I anticipated. We sat outside with heat lamps and blankets, and the ambiance was wonderful. This is a perfect spot for cocktails, good food, and easy conversation.
My favorite thing I ordered was the brussel sprouts with dried cherries and goat cheese. The fruity pebbles ice cream was a close second though!
Great food. They have the best Cesar salad. It's always one of my highlights, but all the food has been amazing.
Perfect and quaint little place for New year's Eve dinner. My husband had the pre fixe and I had the prime rib a la carte. Delicious.
The food was so good, as usual other than there being a lot of chimichuri sauce on my steak that took over all the other flavors. The service however was not good. We waited a long time for our food. We had to ask several times for things like refills on water, our drink orders, and our food! We sat for almost 2 hours and we were just 2 people dining.
This is our second time there. Love everything about the food, service and location. The only negative is the lighting. They keep the lights on so low that most of the people have to get out their phone lights to see the menu
All around great restaurant. Food and drink menu is excellent
Horrible food. Raw lamb, fishy tasting seafood, really tough chicken....
We had an excellent dinner here on Christmas Eve. The bartender and waiter were friendly and helpful and the food and ambience was excellent. The hotel and restaurant are very trendy and have a cool vibe. Would eat here again next time in SLO.
We’ve been coming here for holiday meals over the past two years. The flavors are always very good, but the past few meals, we’ve noticed the quality of food has decreased significantly. Possibly due to the hotel/bistro pulling themselves too thin with trying to open a bar and another food shop on either end. Thanksgiving was mediocre. Menu described the things that were not delivered on the final product. The Lamb was a poor cut, very tough, not worth the $38 paid, and found a couple of shells still attached to the shrimp in the pasta dish. Will probably find another location for our holiday meals, which bums us out.
The food was truly outstanding......delicious, imaginative, seasonal ingredients. I liked it so much better than Novo which always wins high praise.
Great food and great service on a very nice ambient
