Matt our Server/Bartender was fantastic! The drink he made for us (a "Paper Plane") was lovely, and we appreciated the kitchen making a slight modification (swapping bacon in for ham) to our Brunch Burger. A+ today, despite the drizzly weather 😃
Had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner. Originally our reservation was for outdoor patio dining but we were switched to the bar due to the rain storms. We all adjusted for for this change( my wife and I don’t drink). Will, the bartender, was a wonderful host. He explained the menu and their specialties, saw to our every need, gave us wonderful service. Can’t say enough about the great meal. Appetizers to deserts were done to perfection. Our only complaint is the bar didn’t have a foot rail which made sitting at the bar awkward and uncomfortable. Since this restaurant is in an iconic old west hotel a foot rail is a historic necessity. My wife and I strongly recommend this restaurant. Will probably make early reservations for next Thanksgiving👏👏👏
We were in town for thanksgiving and I know their food is amazing. So glad we reserved a table. It was delicious and the ambiance was awesome!!
Great ambience. Background music was phenomenal. Outdoor dining was some of the best we have experienced with plenty of heaters to keep us warm. Food was unique and yet something for everyone. Highly recommend this place!
The dishes are lacking the quality as in the past. Eggs benedict, 1 egg okay, the other on the cool side.
Do not know how this can happen. The drinks were great, picked out the right wine, had the courteous
service, but the food prep is not to the past standards
Very enjoyable first visit. Dined on the patio after dark which was comfortable. Only comment would be the need for a bit more lighting as it was difficult to read the menus.
This is more of a drinks and conversation place than a restaurant. the food was good.
Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great. Everything was incredibly salty (except for the fries...oddly). French bread was ok, but not great, and they don’t even make it (buy it from a local bakery that supplies restaurants in the area). I got the steak frites. Temp was right, but sauce was terrible, as was the little mayo smear for the fries. Girlfriend got the spaghetti squash entree, which tasted great but was the definition of one note. Would have been a decent side, but with no flavor depth with more vegetables and one mushy texture with the squash, an entree it was not. Oh, when it’s farmers market and there’s a high school band blasting away around the corner, maybe don’t open the doors. Didn’t go well with the music being played inside.
Granada is our “go to” restaurant when friends come from out of town. Great ambiance, menu, service.
This restaurant was excellent in every way - fabulous food (salmon was top notch), great service, cool ambiance. We will return and would happily recommend.
Wonderful people and food
Granada Bistro is a lovely, chic restaurant with good food and great service. Lovely dining room and nice outdoor dining as well. The gourmet burger was deliciously juicy and perfectly grilled. The cosmopolitan was great. Would go there again for a nice family dinner, get together with friends or even a special occasion. My only suggestion would be to offer dinner specials, or a couple more entree options to the menu, as it is a bit limited. Highly recommend!
Service was good - food was fine, but not memorable (except for the brussel sprouts which were great!).
We sat in the outdoor patio by fire pit. Ambience is A+ cozy patio, beautiful indoor space. Oysters and burrata appetizers. Steak frites, salmon and housemade ravioli all beautifully plated and delicious. Negatives=its a touch too dark outside, needed phone to read menu. Fries were luke- warm.
We had a lovely meal at Granada Bistro. Beautiful food, a charming waitress and a really peaceful pretty setting. Our only suggestion would be to increase the lighting outside (so we can see the food!). Needs string lights or some over head lighting or more candles on the tables. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Steak frites was exceptional. Sat outside which was lovely. Terrific service by Tanya.
The cocktails were spectacular! We loved the environment & friendly staff. Add delicious food to that and you have the ingredients for a delightful evening.
Food was fantastic, the chia starter was probably too if a portion. It was thick and filling so the amount could be reduced.
Drinks were great. It took a bit of time for the staff to make one of our guests second drink so it lengthened our stay while we were waiting for the check, etc.
Enjoyed a lovely table outside to celebrate our 10th anniversary! Highlights included the delicious beet salad, and the chocolate pudding dessert with PB mousse and "coffee soil." Thank you GB!
Outdoor seating with heaters provides wonderful setting for a delicious meal.
Excellent food. Love the burger and brussel sprouts
Good food with a beautiful atmosphere. We really enjoyed the starters!
Sat outside in their lovely sidewalk seating area. The Brussels Sprouts were overcooked with a weird, sticky sauce, although the dried cherries were an interesting touch. People who had the Arctic Char loved it. I had the Maitake Ravioli; I love butter but this was like a stick of melted butter with some pasta sitting in it; luckily I thought to order the Half Baguette which was crusty and warmed to perfection, sopped up the butter no problem! Our server was competent but needs a little more training in the wine department, she poured huge first glasses from the bottle leaving no room for it to breathe. I would go back but it wouldn't be my first choice for dining in SLO.
Service was great, loved the cute outdoor patio and food was excellent. Best Caesar salad ever! Loved the Mushroom ravioli with brown butter and the frozen key lime custard was amazing. A perfect date night dinner.
Great food and service right in downtown SLO. Lovely outside patio as well as the small inside dining room. Between us we sampled the cocktails (excellent and unique!), several starters (burrata and scallops were our favorites) and four entrees. My son declared the steak frites just as good as he had in Paris, which is high praise indeed.
First they were out of the wine we ordered. This took a long time. Then they could not find the next wine for a long time. By then all starters were eaten. Maybe understaffed that night?
What a wonderful evening on their patio.
Always a delight to dine here. We tried the fried chicken, it was amazing. Also, check out their “zero proof” drinks, so tasty!
Wonderful experience especially because of our incredible server Sabrina!
Great food and service. Really enjoyed the outdoor patio as well
Nice food, wine & service
Had an awesome anniversary brunch here! Delicious food and drinks, such a cool ambiance. We loved sitting outside on their curated furniture. And the bathrooms are wicked cool! Seriously! I don’t want to spoil the surprise for you by describing them. My wife and I love cool restrooms for some reason and these were incredible.
I had cornbread spicy Benedict, my wife had the Cuban sandwich, and I had the strawberry lavender mimosa. Everything was great. Good service too.
My major complaint was that the food for all four diners did not come out at the same time - neither our appetizers nor mains. In fact after a significant delay we finally had to lay down our server to get our 4th main. This is very amateur ish; not the level of professionalism I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber
The food is always good at Granada Bistro, i just wish they had more items to choose from. There are only a couple of main entrees and limited salad options. The service seemed slow also. We ordered our food and then got our shared appetizer but it was quite a while before our food came out.
We shared small plates; great flavors, inventive menu, expertly prepared.
We had 5:30 dinner reservations and a concert at 7:30. We told the server we were going to a concert, but it did not seem to register with anyone. Other folks came in and they were served, but we only had our wine opened and first courses served by 6:50 and we had to request our food TO GO, since we had to leave a bit after 7 to make our concert. My husband and I have dinned there many times and we took our out of town friends. We enjoyed the food re-heated in our microwave at 11PM. I found the service unacceptable and will NOT be going there again nor recommending to a friend.
We were given a poor table, we asked to move told we couldn't. No one ever took any of the tables we requested.
The best Brussels sprouts and cauliflower dishes I’ve ever had! Fresh, flavorful, creative...excellent portion sizes and charming ambience. Awesome experience.
We've been here several times now. What a faboo place. We like to sit at the bar so we get to talk with Mixologist Jeff who always has a ton of info about the libations. The decor is great; the food is wonderful.
There is a beautiful retro vibe to the interior. Very soft lighting and dark woods and brick walls. Wonderfully quiet and romantic, which was nice since it was our anniversary. There is a lovely outdoor patio, but we sat inside. Nice young energetic waiter who knew his stuff. My husband had the sea bass, which of course I sampled. It was excellent, as was the hanger steak I ordered. It was perfectly prepared, sliced over fennel and roasted potatoes, and topped with horseradish sauce. We will definitely return when in the area.
