Gram & Dun brings culinarily-driven fare, while paying special attention to pairing food with libations. It's a place “for the people” where we can relax and enjoy the neighborhood vibe while we test theories of food, drink and the evolution of good times.View Private Dining Details

Excellent food and service. Made for a very enjoyable night with the wife and friends.
Visited Gram & Dun during a business trip and found the food, cocktails, and service to be top notch. I highly recommend the rye-based Smoking Dun and the ribeye. Request Joan for your server and you will not be disappointed!
Food was fabulous and Kent provided superb service!!!
The atmosphere is great in our waiter was very good. I’ve always thought that their menu could be a little bit more robust.
Delicious meal served by a thoughtful and welcoming team.
Brunch was good, the drinks were great (brunch punch and Bloody Mary). I thought the cinnamon roll would be warm, though. It was very good and the glaze and salted caramel topping were tasty. Our meals were good and I was able to substitute greens for potatoes onnmine.
Gram & Dunn continues to be a favorite when we are in Kansas City. The food is really creative and very well done. The wine list is great and the staff is very knowledgeable about both. I have learned to rely on them for pairing wine with my food selection and they have never steered me wrong.
I don't normally leave reviews as I have a life, and am very busy.. (-; No offense to the Yelpers out there, and people with far too much time on their hands. I have been to Gram and Dun several times, and feel compelled to leave a review because the food, drinks, and service are all fantastic. I highly recommend the Smoking Dun cocktail, the Ribeye was one of the best I have ever had, the chicken and waffles are insane, and don't forget about the Gram and Dunbar for desert.
Mixed reviews- service was slow but our server was personable and knowledgeable. Example- our entrees arrived before the bottle of wine was delivered and opened.
Although this was not as favorable a visit, I would return and recommend to friends.
The service. Yes, the food is delicious and the libations unique but I’ve never experienced such outstanding service. From the hostess to the waitstaff, the staff treats each customer as if he or she deserves personal and special attention. Truly, remarkable, and I not only experienced this with our small party of four , but I also observed it with larger parties. Impressive. Food? Scrumptious, well-plated, and perfectly prepared. Try the hangar steak. Delicious!
We had a fabulous time! Our waiter Skyler was helpful, and engaging. We chose the Tomohawk Steak...and it was by far the best we have had!
Love this group of restaurants. Excellent, creative food at very reasonable prices. Service is top notch. Beautiful place. But the room we were seated in, at the back of Gram and Dun, by the patio was so loud we had to shout to one another. If the food hadn't been so good, it would have ruined our evening.
The food AND service were amazing! The only issue I had was I valet parked my car and it came back with scratches down the driver side. I have tired to contact the company but they have yet to return my call. That was the only disappointing factor. I realize it's not Gramm & Dunns company but they are representing you are a whole.
The food and staff are always on point! Always a good time.
Date night with the wife. Food was great and Andrea’s service was impeccable!
I love this place! The food is excellent and so is the service. We love Jenn and Andrea’ they are detailed and always happy to serve us with a smile and great attitude.
Great time here-note we had to cancel the Melting Pot—has a 2pm. Grandson got a call to be back early—called them to ask about move to 1–they said yes could do 1:15–when we arrived about 1 told us it would be 2. When we checked OT for alternate restaurant, MPot still showed 1:15 and 1:30 availability—BAD review here for Melting Pot!!!
Bloody Mary was great. One of the few places who actually garnishes them. I had the chicken and waffle, which was good, but for what I paid could have been better or at least presented better.
The atmosphere is great. The fire is a nice touch to the patio area.
An absolutely fantastic meal at a very reasonable price! We found a new favorite on the Country Club Plaza! We will be back, and we will recommend it to anyone who wants a nice meal in Kansas City.
Wife ordered the fish well done, came out on the raw. Had to wait eating my dish while they replaced. Despite me having to wait did not offer to comp 1 meal or extend a dessert or drink.
We were seated in the back room and the noise level was extremely. Next time will request not seating in the back room.
Must say disappointed how they handled the situation and inconvenience. Not one to complain, but for a restaurant of this approval level expected the manager to extend us either a drink or desert on the House.
Friendly wait staff but slow service, very loud and mediocre food. Chicken was dry and the other dishes quite average.
My friend and I had brunch here before shopping at the Plaza and it was wonderful! Service was fast and the outdoor seating was just perfect! I would definitely go again in the future!
So delicious, great service, cozy atmosphere. Really enjoyed!
Food is always great and service is the best. Andrea is always on her game and always a pleasure to dine with.
Very good food and service.
We love and admire Bread and Butter Concepts. Gram and Dun is our favorite. We had the pleasure of Joan serving us a couple of weeks ago. We returned last Saturday, and had requested Joan again in our reservation notes. She is such a lovely person and we truly appreciate her thoughtfulness, attentiveness, and contagious smile and personality. What an asset to your company. Thank you again for great experience!
We loved Gram and Dun! We came for my husband’s birthday and they provided free glasses of champagne and a free dessert. It’s a little over priced (we both got the chicken and waffles- DELICIOUS, but $24). We would come again.
Brunch! Great atmosphere, good variety! good shareables
This was an incredible brunch in celebration of our 6 year anniversary. Couldn't have asked for better food, better drinks, or a better setting. We will be back!
Great service! our waiter and Robbie and Dustin made it a great time!
Met wife for an early dinner. Basil Smash cocktail is outstanding. We sat in back room, so was a little quieter and perfect for us. Friendly service all around. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Usually G&D can be pretty loud, but the food and drinks are always amazing, if not a little spendy. We went on a Monday night before a movie and were treated to great service and a quieter dining room. I've always been a fan of this place, but this was the best time I've had so far.
The duck was so good!
We took our married son and his wife here for a special treat . They live in NYC and thought the meal was very nice, and our server, Megan was a delight. She was helpful and very upbeat. She paced the meal so we had lots of time to visit. The butters with the twisted bread were delicious as were the onion dumplings. We appreciated the atmosphere as it was possible to have a conversation without loud music. The hanger steak, lamb chops, and burnt ends mac and cheese were specially yummy. Although we live 45 minutes away, we will definitely be back.
A friend and I went to Gram & Dun for late night appetizers and a glass of wine. We shared a small charcuterie plate and Gram & Dun’s delicious homemade potato chips. Scrumptious! Splitting the bill, it came to $30 each (this is including gratuity). I would love to come back on a warm evening to enjoy the patio seating.
Our server from Kenya was wonderful and very happy. The food was below par. The scallops were chewy and very fishy tasting. The fish was nothing to write home about. Our friends ordered the Gnocchi and the Chicken and Waffles. The Gnocchi was so rich, she could not finish it.
We did like the specialty drink menu as well as the cozy ambiance.
Was not impressed with the food at all. I got the chicken and waffles, was told it came with a breast and a thigh, the breast was a little bigger then a chicken finger and the thigh looked like it came from a Cornish game hen. My wife got the "burnt end" mac & cheese. That was more like pot roast cubes with some BBQ sauce on them and it wasn't very cheesy. Was not impressed with the food at all, especially for the price, $22 a meal. The server was more interested in her table of 10, then she was with me and my wife. Will never go back and definitely wouldn't recommend to anybody I know.
Great Saturday brunch, loved the bread basket! Their Bloddy Mary's are delicious! Love to go there when visiting KC.
Awesome experience as usual!
