Always great. One of our favorite restaurants in town.
Great outdoor seating area and the service was great.
Had a great experience!! Food was delicious, service was engaged, atmosphere was enjoyable and cocktails were good!!
Excellent brunch. Sweet and savory options are both on the menu. The soba was absolutely delicious.
Everything was delicious and service was outstanding.
Went to Gram and Dun with a group of friends for my birthday. The food was excellent and our server, Skyler, was stellar. He even fanned us because the restaurant was so hot inside due to broken A/C. Skyler kept a sense of humor under difficult circumstances. From a management perspective, I think it was a poor choice not to inform us that the A/C was broken. Yes, we probably would have found a more comfortable place to have dinner that evening. But, I would have appreciated their honesty.
Temperatures were extremely warm for a 7:30pm mothers day dinner.
Could not enjoy meal for discomforting temps. We were inside.
Chicken and waffles and lamb chops were excellent. I’ve always come and had the house Burger, but it has been changed and went from my favorite to over cooked basic burger..
Excellent food and great service. Staff made you feel comfortable and the waiters help you choose the food that complements your tastes.
Mother’s Day brunch . Food was just ok nothing special . Normally the food is excellent but this time it was a little disappointing. Biscuits and gravy were very dry and my waffle was cold . So like I said nothing special.
Great food..even better service. Shrimp and grits....Southern comfort food with a twist..
Grreat place to go for Mother’s Day brunch!
We order bread, server was going to bring grill focaccia, it never arrived, pork shoulder beans were hard, skirt steak lack of flavor.
Gram and Dunn is a family favorite. The food was outstanding but the service was subpar. They were out of pig wings which is their signature dish. The waiter did not bring the correct drinks and then asked us to taste them and if we didn’t like them he would replace them. Yes we asked him to replace them and please bring us what we ordered. He was not accommodating which is encouraging us to try a new place on the plaza. It was disappointing since our son was in from out of town and really wanted to go there. We are regulars.
Reservation was as expected. Great food and great service. Beautiful place.
Amazing service and food. We ordered rose, chartcuterie, and various salads, all excellent with great recommendations from our server!~
I wasn't impressed with the food in this restaurant. Nice ambiance though.
Came here and sat on the patio prior to the Lion King Musical. Andrea was amazing, perfect timing and great food descriptions and recommendations. We were on the patio and it was fabu!
Birthday dinner for my son and it was great!
Food was great but the noise level was too loud to talk with my wife and friends. Skylar was a great waiter.
We chose Gram and Dun for the sole purpose of enjoying a nice Sat night with great weather. Although we made a reservation, G&D said they could not guarantee a spot on the patio. After arriving, we found out they had saved us seating (on a VERY busy night). We've had the pleasure of dining at G&D previously, so we knew the food would be good (and it was!). However, our service trumped the excellent food (french onion dumplings, sea bass, Asian pig wings, and creamed brussell sprouts). Because the temps were perfect, the entire restaurant was hopping. But, our server, Andrea, treated us like we were the only two on the patio. Her food recommendations, including dinner, were amazing. So, Gram and Dun has vaulted to the top of our favorite places in KC to eat!
Great spot! Wonderful food and service!
Lovely day / evening for a meal with the doors open to the outside and nice breeze blowing. Waitress was very cordial and attentive. She was helpful with suggestions and answers to our questions.
Food was very good. Chicken and waffles were excellent. The potato chip appetizer was addictive.
Food and service were excellent
I made a reservation ahead of time then when we arrived were told outside seating wasnt really possible for our party size (5 people). Our food took forever to come to the table and when we got the food it was cold, fries too salty. My husband ordered a beer right when we sat down and had to ask our waitor multiple times for his beer, we were still charged for said beer. I wont be coming back unfortunately
The service was ok. Not great but not bad. The food was pretty average. For the price we expected better. Nice atmosphere but a little loud. We had reservations for 4 for brunch at 11:00am. When we went to place our orders we were informed they were already out of several items we tried to order. I don’t understand how they were out of so many items so early in the day or why they didn’t inform us when the server took our drink orders. The skillet that one member of our party order was the smallest breakfast skillet I’ve seen. Two of our group ordered the biscuits and gravy entree. The biscuits were stacked one on top of the other with hardly enough gravy on the top one to cover it. No gravy in the bottom biscuit. I’ve been here several times for dinner and always had great service and meals. With so many other options in the area we will never go back for brunch.
Great experience. Steve (aka “JJ” new nick name) was very pleasant and on top of everything! Really enjoyed the food and the service!
We went to Gam and Dun after eloping at Unity Temple. They accommodated us and our special request for our special day without hesitation and made us feel like special guests. They gave us a free bottle of champagne, a free cocktail and dessert! It was more than nice of them to do that. My husband and I will now go to Gram and Dun for ALL of our special occasions and every anniversary meal. They made our day extra special. Thank you so much!
This was our first time dining at Gram & Dun. We requested to be sat outside as it was fantastic weather. We were told there'd be a wait but we could get a drink at the patio bar. It took 10 mins before anyone got our drinks. (Granted it was the first nice day and a weekend.) But the manager was very apologetic and comped them. Food and take service were fantastic! If we'd received better service initially at the bar, I'd give 5 stars.
Sat on the patio for brunch! The patio is great for a beautiful day right on the Plaza! Wasn’t overly impressed with my food. For the price, of $13 I had a tiny palm-sized skillet with no flavor, mushy hasbrowns, and a sprinkle of red peppers where as the menu made it sound elaborate and full of vegetables. I easily could make that better at home. However, one of my friends down the table got a giant meal with 2 huge biscuits, gravy and potatoes for $18 that he couldn’t even finish. Didn’t love the inconsistency there. Mimosas were not short on the champagne and I could appreciate that. All in all, great location to take friends. I’d probably order something else next time and maybe go for their dinner menu instead.
Generally have a very good experience, but tonight disappointed. I ordered the fish entree, and while it was cooked appropriately, was very bland and not even served warm. Salad and appetizers did not disappoint. The meal really fell down when we all ordered coffee (regular and decaf) and what was served was a watered down, lukewarm version of each that was tasteless. When we brought it to our server’s attention, she apologized, but made no attempt to make it right (ie, replace with fresh, take it off our bill, etc). We would generally order dessert, but had no desire to do so.
Maybe it was an “off” night, and we will try again, but there are lots of other options at the Plaza.
Food was eye appealing, served hot and exactly as ordered, it was prom night somewhere so very busy, and very noisy. We had a reservation, but waited about 20 minutes to be seated beyond our reservation time, the manager noted that and offered, unsolicited I might add, a complimentary appetizer which we appreciated. It was a wonderful evening with our friends.our waitress,Heather, was knowledgeable, and attentive
Overall my dining was pleasant but wish the hostess would have checked me in as showing up for my reservation on Open table but instead labeled me as a no show so now I don’t get my points earned.
We took a friend for her birthday brunch and had never been before. We were all very impressed with a creative menu, fantastic service, comfortable ambiance, and delicious food. We will definitely be going back soon!
I LOVE Gram & Dun! It's #! in my top three restaurants Kansas City!
The ambiance, service and food is always excellent!!! Also, if you are celebrating a birthday, they have a very nice treat in store for you, so it's worth the visit... :-)
It was a little pricey.
Good food, good service, very nice venue and atmosphere. Mission accomplished!
I visit KC for business a few times a month and this my favorite place. The staff and food is exceptional!
