Wheat-free dinner rolls and hand-made gluten-free pasta are always available. Most of our menu items can be made gluten-free with little or no modifications. Vegetarian and vegan options are well thought out and composed. We make our own vegan pasta, too. Gracie’s team is trained to accommodate food allergies and a wide range of dietary restrictions.
Gracie's is conveniently located in downtown Providence, specifically in the theater district (across the street from Trinity Rep and a short walk from PPAC). Absolutely fantastic! You will not regret eating here.
Everything was amazing and the service was wonderful. I cannot wait to go back!
Simply spectacular, creative and wonderful
We went for restaurant week. The service was spotty. Ten minutes to get a menu after seating, ten more for the server to come. We were asked if we'd like more bread, but after saying yes it didn't come until after another server brought it fifteen minutes later. There are many servers, mostly J&W students, and they just don't have the experience to be great servers. The food was very good as usual. We'd go more often, but the high prices ruin the experience since we're always wondering if it's worth it.
Awesome every time! Have been here three times and always an event to us! Get the wine cellar room if you can!
Fanastic restaurant with amazing ambiance, food, and service. Highly recommend!
My favorite place to eat.
Outstanding Menu and food quality. This place never disappoints
Tonight was my birthday and everything was amazing. Please refer to my comment card for further detail. Thank you for a special evening!!
We got so lucky! I made a reservation ahead of time, but when I called that day to add another person, they moved us to the Wine Room downstairs, which was such a unique experience! We all tried different items from the Restaurant Week menu. I would definitely return to try more dishes. The gazpacho was amazing and the rosemary foccaccia was outstanding. Everyone loved their meals. I got the Sweet Potato entree, which was excellent, but the bok choi was a touch salty. Service was impeccable; I think I counted 7 individual people served us throughout the night aside from our main servers (Alex and Evan?). 10/10
Highly recommend. Gracies impressed in every way.
This was my third visit to Gracie's and, while still amazing, it didn't quite live up to its reputation or my previous two visits. The gnocchi was outstanding and we really enjoyed the amuse bouche. Our service was attentive, but rushed, and the only real conversation we had was when we asked to order a bottle of wine. Otherwise it was very transactional. The quality of the food is amazing and, given it was Restaurant Week, the value was outstanding. You can definitely tell they cut corners given the promotion, though. For example, the duck entree had several pieces of sausage mixed in with the duck breast. This was not on the menu anywhere. I was also a little disappointed that I indicated on our reservation we were celebrating a couple that got married last week and that was not acknowledged. Our table was also less than ideal...a cramped booth in the bar area right near the door. If you make a reservation weeks in advance, I would think you'd get better seating. Overall, it won't keep me from coming back, but I'll likely wait until Restaurant Week is over. You can tell they were just trying to seat as many people as possible and it wasn't the relaxing and enjoyable on-point experience you'd usually expect from here.
Service was impeccable. Food was unique. Every dish was exemplary. We look forward to our next night at Gracies!
Providence week menu. Great first time visit.
Dinner out with friends before theater this past weekend. Fantastic, creative menu with local foods. Staff is knowledgeable, attentive without hovering, and always professional. Highly recommend!
Have been here before for the 7-course tasting menu with wine pairings that was out of this world.
Absolutely amazing food! Best creme brûlée I have ever had!!! Service was excellent, prompt and informative. We had numerous food allergies in our party but the service was impeccable!
We came for restaurant week! The service was phenomenal and food even better.
I tried Gracie's for the first time during Providence Restaurant Week. My glass of Sauvignon blanc was very good. Arugula salad was yummy as was the swordfish entree. I think, however, there should have been a better serving of vegetables to go with the swordfish. Staff very friendly, and it's nice to have valet service.
I have been wanting to dine at Gracie's for quite some time and it was everything I expected and more. The staff is so courteous from the valet attendant to the servers. The entire experience was perfect. Their attention to detail was superb and everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. I simply adore the little surprises of food they serve you in between courses. It was a nice addition to our delicious appetizers, entrees, desserts, and great cocktails. I valeted my car and when I left the restaurant I found a little package of two chocolate chip cookies. Gracie's is a restaurant unlike any other and we will be back!
As always an amazing experience at Gracies. Perfect in every way from the waiters wine choices to the chefs 7 course meal.
Always an unbelievable treat to eat at Gracie's - I always leave feeling like I'm best friend's with my waitstaff and the food is insanely good!
My sister and I had a lovely experience when we went to Gracie's for Restaurant Week. The setting was intimate but not crowded, the gnocchi and the duck where sublime, and the creme brulee was perfect. They were happy to accommodate my sister's food restrictions. The Ellie's macrons with the check were a delightful surprise. We would love to come back and try the chef's journey one day!
Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time!
Tasty, fresh food, creative presentation, crafty cocktails, good restaurant week price and value and by far the best service in Rhode Island.
Don't walk, run to Gracie's this month. We loved it!
Fabulous meal from the restaurant week menu, with wine pairings. The gnocchi, the duck, and the Creme brûlée were all exquisite. Perfect seating, lovely service. And a sweet treat in my vehicle to enjoy on the way home!
I have had the pleasure of dining at Gracies many times before and I have to say something seemed off. Maybe it was restaurant week, but the service was overzealous-someone at the table constantly and so hard to have a conversation. We were offered a snack at the beginning - and charged $7 on the bill for a few tablespoons of nuts that you would receive gratuitously at any bar. That felt a little dishonest to me. The food was fine - but not the unusual flavors and creativity of past meals. The cocktail list was strange and expensive. The waitress stated they were ‘changing their format’ - that they now had a cheese cart we could select from - never saw that. I can’t put my finger on it - just not the Gracie’s experience I remember. The fine dining feel was not there. It used to be worth the splurge, but there are so many great choices in Providence for less money - I don’t think I’ll go running back anytime soon. Maybe it was an off night.
Dining experience was extraordinary, service was on point and our meal made my taste buds sing...
I'm sure it's because we went this time during restaurant month, Gracie's was very busy. Waited an hour after our scheduled reservation to get a table.
THAT BEING SAID, the food was absolutely astounding. I would have to say it is the best food I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend going if you're looking for a great night out with amazing food.
the restaurant was extremely Hot/Humid . . . quite uncomfortable honestly. Due to the weather being so unseasonably warm outside . . the air conditioning should have been put on . . .outside of that absolutely the best time . . .
The food was delicious, unfortunately that was all that was good about this place. I eat out a lot and I have to say this was the worst service I’ve ever received. It blows my mind they have any diamond ratings. It took over 30 minutes once seated to get a menu. While we were waiting for a menu they offered us our choice of snack, little did we know since we didn’t have a menu the small bowl of nuts we agreed to was $7. They sat a table down 20 minutes after us and we got to watch all night as that table was a course or more ahead of us. They celebrated our anniversary kindly with complimentary cava and candles on our desert which was great except it wasn’t our anniversary. So that was embarrassing, more embarrassing after the waitress came over and asked us if it wasn’t really our anniversary after desert and said she realized she made the mistake but figured she’d see it through. Horrifying. We saw endless new people delivering meals. Our original cocktail order was either not submitted or forgotten by the bar and when it finally arrived after the waitress checked on it my cocktail was certainly not worth the wait so it remained on the table untouched. The waitress never inquired or asked if I’d like to order something else. The main course came and everyone around us had cornbread service from a basket with theirs, not us. Never even saw a waitress during our main course never mind getting cornbread service. No one checked to see if our main courses were okay. We did have the chance to order wine before the main course, my husband and I ordered a glass of Cabernet, without asking they gave us both 6 ounce pours, though as someone who drinks wine regularly I’m sure it wasn’t 6 ounces but we were charged for it. If it was shame on them for doing that as I wasn’t looking for a $25 glass of wine when I had to drive home. I don’t think I’ve ever been so eager to leave a restaurant as I was to leave this. Great food though, I’d be upset if I was the chef.
Gracie’s used to be one of my favorite places and it pains me to write this review. My friend and I had the tasting menus this past weekend and I’m not able to note anything on that menu (aside from the gnocchi) because it was all so forgettable. I can still recall the sea urchin pasta that shined on their menu from about 5 years ago and I was expecting the same level of “wow”. Dinner took over 3 hours and there were gaps in between courses that felt awkward and shouldn’t have been. When the bill came, we were presented with the wrong price for one of the menus. This was handled poorly with awkward discussion about how “we changed our prices” so when the manager came to defend this price difference, I had to show her myself what the tasting menus are listed as online, to which she acknowledged her mistake and corrected it. We appreciated the card, decorated table, and champagne to celebrate a birthday. I have enjoyed items from the a la carte menu in the past and regretted not ordering from there, but tasting menus are supposed to create a special experience. With regard to a tasting journey, it felt like an unfortunate missed opportunity.
From the entry to the exit the staff was courteous and helpful. The service was excellent with knowledgeable and attentive staff.
The food was delicious, well prepared and presented.
Great location for a special occasion.
The ambiance at Gracie’s is amazing. The rustic but elegant decor, spaciousness, and intimate dining experience make this a perfect venue for a special occasion. The food was delicious—be sure to have some of the house-made pasta, the gnocchi and rigatoni will call to you when you think of Gracie’s again. And, you couldn’t ask for nicer servers!
Every thing was amazing. Honestly a perfect way to spend my birthday. Our server Lindsey was fantastic and could not have been more helpful. Absolutely fantastic way to celebrate my birthday with the family.
There were three of us and we all said that everything was excellent. The first and second courses were amazing. In our opinion the deserts were a slight step lower. We can't wait to return and try some different dishes. Also our wait person was the most knowledgeable about everything. I wish that we had gotten her name so that we might request her upon our return.
Food and atmosphere was fine. Service was not good. Although I don’t think it was primarily the bar. Ordering drinks took 15-20 minutes. In the bar and at dinner. Wrong drinks were brought out and took a long time as well. Was not good
I have been to Gracie's many times over the years because I am a long standing season ticket holder at Trinity and PPAC. We also eat in many fine dining restaurants. We were disappointed with the food and the prices. It seems much more expensive than it used to be and the food was mediocre. The food seemed to lack the flavor it used to have.
It was a very special occasion for us and all the staff went even further above and beyond than they usually do.
Gracie’s is a fantastic place for a special occasion. It is the kind of place you go to for an experience. Great food. Great service. A great night.
We had a lovely birthday dinner for my wife, which included a hand-written birthday note to her from Gracie's (I had given them a head's up when making the reservation), table glitter, and complimentary toasting champagne.
The meal was wonderful, exceeded only by the service we received from our waiter Marc, whose ability to be informative, friendly, and attentive is simply extraordinary.
This was a very special dining experience.
Just the best. Wonderful menu. I treating combinations of lovely fresh ingredients. Truly top notch service without being stuffy-and very knowledgeable about the wine list too. NTBM for a special meal. Order the 3 Course dessert offering and you’ll get things not on the menu. Nice to split.
