Our team works closely with local farmers, fishermen, brewers, winemakers, and distillers, to bring you the freshest ingredients available.
Our menu offers 3 different styles of dining. Wheat-free dinner rolls and hand-made gluten-free pasta are always available. Most of our menu items can be made gluten-free with little or no modifications. Vegetarian and vegan options are well thought out and composed. We make our own vegan pasta, too. Gracie’s team is trained to accommodate food allergies and a wide range of dietary restrictions.
Gracie's is conveniently located in downtown Providence, across the street from Trinity Rep, and a short walk from PPAC, The Dunkin Donuts Center, and The Rhode Island Convention Center. Brown University, RISD, Johnson & Wales University, and Providence College are also close by.

Gracie's was amazing. We dined to celebrate a birthday and they had a special table setting, card, and unexpected welcome cordial. I enjoyed the 'Blacklist' cocktail. The food was creative and tasted fantastic. It was nice that they had small but perfect selection half bottles of wine. We chose to dine a la carte and were not disappointed. We will definitely good back again to do the tasting menu.
Gracie’s quality of food and service have plummeted in the past 2 years since I last came here. So has the originality of the chef of the course tastings. Two seven course with wine pairing, sadly, because I’ve always raves about the place were in all but one fish dish either just bland or worse “off.” Even some wine selections were dubious. We were not offered coffee nor thanked by our server. Just a big waste of money - especially in light of all RI in general and Providence in particular has to offer. You don’t have to take it, but my advice is save your money and avoid this restaurant that seems to now be running on its reputation and go somewhere where the food actually is good, I know I will.
My husband and I had to cancel a planned anniversary weekend away because our dog got sick (I know, I know!). So at loose ends and at the last possible minute, we booked an early table (5:30 on a Friday night) at Gracie's, based on a personal recommendation from a friend.
We could not have been more pleased! We went with no expectations, and so last-minute, we were not expecting anything much. We were bowled over by the entire experience--food, ambience, service (impeccable! NO ONE TRIED TO REMOVE ONE PLATE BEFORE WE WERE BOTH FINISHED!! heh) and especially the lovely little "anniversary touches" (card, candles, wishes from staff). This made-do occasion turned out to be extremely memorable and special for us, and we will definitely be back--not just for another anniversary, either--but that, too.
I've had many wonderful meals at Gracie's, but this night was disappointing. Little has changed in the last several years and the menu and format has become stale. The service was less polished than usual; the food was only so-so. We ordered the scallops and it was ridiculously small portion for a main course entree - like a small plate at a large plate price. Overall, if it was my first time I'd give it a "meh".
We were there at 5:00 on a wednesday for a show. We sat at the bar. Sam the bartender was great, the food was great. It's pricey but worth it. In between courses they served us amuse bouche ( 3 total ). We valet parked and they kept our car so we could go to the show. When we got our car and left they even left some cookies in our car. It's the little things. Great experience.Great everything. Five stars
Outstanding service, food, and ambiance. Every time I come back to Gracie's I am impressed. The dishes are done with attention to different flavors and the selection is fresh and aligned to the seasons. The ambiance allows for great conversation among dinner guests. I believe this is one of Providence's best restaurants.
From the moment we opened the front door until we were bid gracious farewell, Gracie's was nothing short of spectacular!
My wife and I were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary and decided to make reservations at Gracie's. I had called to check on dress attire and the young women on the phone had the best manners (something that seems to be lacking in many businesses). I was trying not to get my hopes up, but I was. When we arrived, we were greeting warmly and were wished a "Happy Anniversary" despite the busy Saturday night at prime time, we were taking to a decorated 4 top set for 2 in the middle of the room. The table had a anniversary card and little star shaped confetti that matches their logo and letterhead) all round the quaint white floating candle centerpiece. My wife and I were promptly greeted by a member of the staff and our dinner experience was now set to cruise control. Maria, Connor and the sharp gentleman with the green cast (sorry I didn't get his name) were on point for the entire evening. "The service was a ballet of stealth ninja's who gave 'mise en place' a whole different meaning."
Feeling adventurous, we went with the 7 course dinner with wine. BOOM! What a Hit! from the Judith Point Squid, to the Foie Gras to the Skate Wing to the Pear Brown Butter Cake every course was better than the last. And the wine pairings? Robert Parker would has salivated to see such a couple. But I have to say that the Black cocoa and short rib tortellini was our favorite! If you cannot already tell that I'm in love with this place, then you need to stop reading this. Now back to the service...
My wife got up from the table and no soon she had left, her napkin was picked up and refolded. You hardly ever see this anymore! A front waiter, a back waiter, food runners and bus boys. Mangers working and dressing tables - THEY EVEN IRON THE CREASES OUT OF THE TABLE CLOTHS before each guest sits down, WHAT?! That is pure love! GO and ENJOY
Sadly, we were disappointed with the chefs 5 course tasting menu. Each dish was well executed, visually pleasing but many lacked depth or bright flavor. The skate wing was probably the best dish, the dessert was so bland (chocolate and figs! Should have been a knockout) that we didn’t finish it. Only two of the five wine pairings were good and they weren’t good enough that i’d want them again. For over $325.00 for two people I’d expect to come away feeling that I’d had at least a satisfactory culinary experience but instead felt that the food was better looked at than eaten. I may have caught them on an off night as others recommended this to me as a great place for a date. I can say that the staff were great , despite it being busy and the ambience was lovely.
Gracie's is ALWAYS excellent! We repeated my birthday dinner again this year at this very fine restaurant. However, this year, instead of doing the five course tasting menu, we chose the seven course, accompanied by an excellent bottle of wine. Everything was perfect! I think next year will try the nine course!
The food is absolutely magical, the owners worked hard to set a true experience and I love it here. Unfortunately our waiter was a bit rude to us, the other server made up for it a bit. I don’t know if it’s his natural demeanor but he wasn’t warm, welcoming or very kind. The food is so thoughtful and delicious, the hostess and valet were wonderful, and the treats upon exiting were a pleasant surprise.
Gracie's was great! We had a wonderful dinner and amazing service! We'll go back in a heartbeat..the only issue we found was our seating. We were seated in the back corner at a very small table (which was not ideal). But that didn't hinder our experience. We'll be back for sure!
We returned to celebrate an anniversary with the 5 course chef choice meal. While we had been disappointed with our last visit and the 3 course dinner, this time the selections were delicious, perfectly sauced and seasoned. Service was very good; friendly, responsive, and most of time timely.

Interesting menu with many locally sourced items. Very knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. So nice to be able to have a conversation without yelling over restaurant noise.
Only concern was seating in row seats....not much privacy. Will request another spot next time.
As always, our dinner at Gracie's was spectacular. We were headed to a concert and wanted to keep the meal on the light side, so we only ordered a main course and dessert, but were still given plenty of time to relax and enjoy a romantic meal. Delicious food and attentive, friendly and informed service.
The food was top notch, full of flavor and paired wonderfully with the hand crafted mock tails. This is a marvelous place for a intimate date night or special occasion. It is pricey but worth every penny. The staff goes above and beyond to please. 10 out of 10 for me.
In my opinion, Gracie's is unsurpassed among a large number of excellent restaurants in Rhode Islands. My wife and I have been dining at Gracie's ever since it opened on Washington Street, and occasionally we wonder if it really is that good. Every time we have returned, we discover all over again that it indeed really is that good. The food is creative without being odd, the service is attentive and polite, and wonderful details such as wine pairings for anything on the menu only add to the experience. We feel will be a winner as long as the owner chooses to continue in business.
Im not sure why this app allows for Gracies reservations to begin at 4:30. My reservation was for 5:30pm. The restaurant opens at 5pm. We arrived early, at 5pm, and were forced to wait until 5:30pm to be seated, even though there was no one in the restaurant. We were told they were not ready yet.
The table was decorated for my partner's birthday and it looked great! The server was prepared to answer questions about my food allergy and make wine suggestions. I enjoyed the food and wine, plus the ambiance. Our server was slightly absent, but the other staff made up for it in spades. The three course prie-fix menu is a great deal. I would go back in a heartbeat!
