Attended A Christmas Carol at Trinity and headed over for a wonderful meal with friends. A Christmas Carol and dinner at Gracie’s is a Holiday Tradition. Wonder food great flavors and excellent service.
Delicious and perfect as always! We were in town visiting friends. Gracie’s always makes these moments special.
Exquisite service from getting help with accommodations for my reservation to finding cookies in the cup holder when the valet brought the car around. Everything was delicious and impeccable. Staff are really skilled as well as very friendly and personable. A very special place!
Gracies is my favorite place in all of New England. Perfect every time!
Gracie's was everything I expected. Nice atmosphere, great service and very knowledgable wait staff. Any questions were answered immediately and thoroughly. Food was presented perfectly and was delicious. Great place for farm fresh organic food prepared and presented exquisitely. Looking forward to our next dining experience at Gracie's.
There is eating, then there's dining and then rarely, there is FINE DINING. Dining at GRACIES falls in the latter category. Superlatives are insufficient to describe a meal at Gracies. Of course, it starts with the food - it's inventive, impeccably prepared and meticulously served by a staff that understand the nuances of elevated service yet resists the stuffy formality that often accompanies it. But, ah, the devil's in the details and that's where Gracies rises to the extraordinary...if you're chilled by the air conditioning, they'll provide you with a luxurious pashmina wrap; if you're celebrating something, expect a call prior to arrival to learn about little "treats" they are prepared to provide you and our guests; when you retrieve your car from the valet, there'll be a packet of cookies on the console as a treat for your ride home. Little treasures of thoughtful caring that elevates Gracies to an experience not to be missed - if you're lucky, an experience to cherish in those special moments/events/celebrations that make you smile when remembered fondly. We can't wait for our next visit - hopefully soon.
Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they took several steps to make it a very special occasion for her - immediate acknowledgment by the host on arrival, hand written card with the table setting, complimentary bubbly pour to start the night, as well as a candle on her dessert. Expected maybe a couple of these but not all. I’m addition the wait staff was very professional and helpful in enhancing our dining experience and advising us on our wine and dinner choices - it’s clear they would make even a less special occasion a great experience. To top it all off the food was amazing - Through our three courses, every single dish was delicious. They also brought some bread and a few small bite “amuse-bouche” type items that we did not specifically order. Definitely plan to go again!
The table setup and champagne toast at the start was a beautiful way to begin the evening. The 7-course tasting menu was fabulous! My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and are so grateful to the wonderful memories we will now have from our evening dining at Gracie’s.
Excellent in all aspects! Anniversary dinner pre-PPAC show. Timed perfectly.
Harper and Sarah and everyone was great! A really enjoyable“dining” experience.
Lovely restaurant - delicious food - wonderful service - great location!
The meal was very good, service excellent. My only complaint is that the menu is very limited.
Excellent food and service. Enjoyed the gluten free options and the small bites given as an appetizer and dessert.
A holiday tradition to dine at Gracies after seeing a Christmas Carol at Trinity rep.
Menu very limited and some of the food lacked flavors we had experienced in the past
Amazing experience! Favorite restaurant in PVD! The service is incredible and the food is exquisite!
One of the best dining experiences I have had. I and a friend came here to celebrate her birthday and the restaurant decorated the table and had a birthday card for her, which was very nice. The food was pretty good, we both ordered the 5-course tasting, and were very happy with all the courses. The waiters and waitresses were polite and elegant, and we felt welcomed in the place. The interior of the place was also cozy and pretty. Overall, we really liked the place and will come again for special occasions.
What a lovely evening we had at Gracie's, where we often choose to dine for special occasions. I was celebrating my birthday and we were treated with a Cava toast and lovely table greetings. Service was wonderful as always and the food was spectacular. We especially enjoyed the beet and burrata salad and the cod loin and duck. In the past when we have dined at Gracie's they had a prix fixe menu which was not the case this time around, so the evening was pricey but well worth it. We always recommend Gracie's to our friends and family for exceptional food, great wine selections, consistently good service and a lovely ambience.
Greatest special occasion restaurant in Providence.
For discerning palates which love well prepared, presented and served food.
As usual impeccable service and very wonderful meal.
No wait time with reservation. Great service. Friendly staff including coat check and valet. Can not wait to revisit.
I reserved a table for Friday November 22nd to celebrate my fiance's 27th birthday; his parents were also joining us, for a total party of 4.
We all selected the Chef's 7 Course Tasting menu with wine pairings and found all the dishes incredibly divine. While my favorite was the autumnal inspired sea bass dish, my future family was enthralled by the seasonally appropriate wild boar pasta. The only fiasco we all mutually faced was that 4 of the 7 wine pairings were sweet and 2 of the 7 were smoky; we would have rather enjoyed a balanced variety of tannins, dryness, and body to our wines. The service was comprised of a plethora of skillsets- some front of staff certainly needed more training (we had a couple of incidents where the course was served and no one elaborated on the dish,) and others were exceptional. The experience and atmosphere were incredible and unforgettable, however as soon as we all arrived home we had terrible bathroom issues that left us out of commission. The cramping and frequent trips eventually subsided, but alas it left us a little weary.
Ultimately, we highly recommend Gracie's for the experience, the delectable food, and courteous front of house staff. We do suggest that you bring Zantac or Pepcid for quality abdominal assurance, though!
Gracie's has been our go-to spot for our wedding anniversary for the past couple years. We are never disappointed, we always have a wonderful experience. The food is excellent and the staff is wonderful. They go out of their way to make you feel special.
We took a 5:00 reservation and arrived 5 minutes early. Unfortunately the doors did not open until 5:00, so we waited outside in the cold for a little while. The service was very good.
We have been to Gracie’s a number of time and even had one of my company’s Christmas Parties there. This time the food was not up to par. The scallops were very small in comparison to our last experience. The espresso was so bitter, I had to send it back. I’m disappointed.
Beautiful experience from start to finish. Service top notch food exceptional and atmosphere warm friendly. I would highly recommend.
My wife and I love going to Gracie's once in while.
This time unfortunately the food did not live up to our expectations based on past experiences.
We will go back. We will not go for the degustation menu again unless we know what is coming.
The scallop ceviche was nice.
The pasta chestnut boar dish was very doughy not pleasant ... and I do love rustic.
The cod dish I believe it was cod was superb.
The venison tasted like duck did not make sense. The waiter told me it was New Zealand venison. I still think it was duck. Maybe venison seared in duck fat.
The dessert usually an absolute delight at Gracie's was very bland. I did not enjoy the sorbet swimming in the watery "jus" at all.
The wine pairing I enjoyed a lot. My wife had the alcohol free pairing which was nice.
Gracie's is our choice when looking for the perfect meal. I don't mind the high cost. It's worth it.
Not this time however.
The overall appearance and food were quite good, but it was so cold in the restaurant that it was hard to enjoy the night. My husband had a sweater on and was still cold. We asked a few times about turning the fans off or the temperature up and were dismissed other then saying they could bring us blankets...seriously?! I had to ask for my coat and eat dinner wearing my coat. Just not the night I had expected after reading multiple good reviews. Other diners around us also had coats around their shoulders to stay warm. Just weird! If it is below 30 degrees outside, a little heat inside is not a crazy thing to request.
A remarkable experience. The food was fantastic and the service matched perfectly. The chef's tasting menu was stunningly executed. The best meal I have ever had in Providence by a landslide....
Wow! Looking for a farm-fresh, locally sourced restaurant with fantastic service, ambiance, and food? Just had an amazing meal with my hubby at GraciesProv ! Wanting to have some fun, we opted for the 7 course wine paired menu and it was a taste sensation for the pallet (each course is a surprise): (1) scallop salad, (2) ox tail pasta, (3) foie gras c/walnut cake, (4) sea bass, (5) venison, (6) cheese plate, (7) burned butter ice cream c/sweet potato mousse. It’s no wonder it has been rated as the #1 dining experience in Providence. Highly recommend for regular dining or special occasions 😊
Food was excellent however the atmoshere was beyond pretentious. We travel intensively and have been in some fine dining establishments that can pull this off. Gracies food is very good but can not pull the attitude off, it makes for a distasteful evening.
Absolutely a wonderful dining experience.
Loved our waitress- she was amazing - good recommendations for wine - non intrusive but always around. The Food was delicious and just perfectly seasoned with fresh ingredients / I can go on and on......
Provided a very personal experience!
Excellent food and service. The playlist was superb.
Fantastic! Food was awesome service was five star and the location was perfect.
My husband and I had visited Providence in the spring for Easter and ate at Gracie’s. Our waiter was so attentive and the food and wine were remarkable. We decided to return there for Veteran’s Day weekend. We had the same waiter, the wine that we had last time was still on the menu, and I think I ordered the same meal, sweetbreads to start and rabbit as a main course. And, we had cornflower blue colored ice cream that was phenomenal! I love this restaurant and highly recommend it. We’ll be back!
Gracie's remains the foremost restaurant to celebrate any special occasion or just celebrate the finer things in life. Sometimes it's the little things that make a restaurant special. With a simple note that it was my wife's birthday, we arrived to find celebratory glitter on our table accompanied by a hand written birthday note and champagne glasses. When the waiter brought complementary sparking cider or champagne it set the tone for a great evening. The food was terrific as usual, with the octopus appetizer truly memorable. We had the duck and the cod entrees, both of which were well prepared and reminded you what fine dining is all about. The dessert tray of assorted cookies and confections was the perfect ending. The constructive note was our service was not up to previous levels, but it was a busy Saturday night so they get a pass. Don't miss Gracie's if you want to ensure your celebration is extra special.
Everything was utterly delicious and it was a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion! Highly recommend the tasting menu!
For a very special night out, it was just such a perfect place to be. All at Gracie's and everything about it make it an experience to remember. It is VERY expensive, but, it gives you all the feels of a night to remember.
I would recommend Gracie’s to my fine food friends. My husband didn’t like his rigatoni because it wasn’t a red sauce. I enjoyed my courses and the creme brûlée was awesome.
