Most of our menu items can be made gluten-free with little or no modifications. Vegetarian and vegan options are well thought out and composed. We make our own vegan pasta, too. IT WAS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THE NOISE LEVEL OTHERWISE IT WAS SUPERLATIVE
We were in town for the weekend and wanted a special place to dine. Gracie's was beautiful, the staff was awesome, amazing and inventive food, and great ambiance. The menu was a little confusing but once we got some instruction we were good to go. We went with the 5 course meal, which was fun because everything was a surprise. The cocktails were amazing! The bacon bourbon drink was unique and smooth. I can't stop thinking about it. We also did the non-alcoholic pairings with dinner and they were out of this world. A great experience and we can't wait to go back!
Spectacular restaurant. Delicious and creative entrees. Wonderful unobtrusive service. Amazing chef. Amazing addition to the Providence restaurant scene.
One of our favorite restaurants in the northeast and especially in Providence. Always creative ideas that are beautifully prepared, presented and served.
Brought a new customer in tonight and she was extremely satisfied I will definitely be back. Thank you again
Food was fantastic, excellent service until cup of tea forgotten. Weak apologies and no compensation.
Gracie’s always blows my mind. My husband and I love to splurge here for our anniversary, because it’s not accessible for us normally but for that once or twice a year night out, it can’t be outdone.
The food was amazing! The service was great too. We had a wonderful time and have been telling our friends about our great experience. My only complaint is that it's a little too pricey. $37 for monkfish (one of the cheapest fishes you can buy in the store) is just too much.
Gracie's is our favorite restaurant. We go there about 8 times a year. The food, service and ambiance are exceptional. We've been going there for about 10 years and have never had a bad experience.
Tried the chefs tasting menu (7 course) with wine pairing. The food was excellent and all 7 courses were at a very high level, but none had that wow factor that blows your mind. Same goes for the wines. I found the restaurant a little loud for what it should be but still confortable and the service was really good. Overall a very good experience.
Wonderful food, wine and service’
The restaurant decor is modern and sophisticated. The staff are pleasant and helpful but incredibly slow. We don’t like to rush our meals - the dinner is the event- but the length of time to get drinks served was excessive.
The same with the wine order that I had to ask for while halfway through our appetizer. Then things got worse- the wine was very obviously corked. Both myself and my friend tested it and believe me we do know how a meursault should taste and smell - that’s not the restaurant’s fault - it happens to all of us. However the manager while changing our bottle made a snide side comment about it only needed to open up - which was rubbish. He should either have openly debated it or changed it - not make sulky side comments.
Appetizers - 3 had the octopus which was very good - I had the sweetbreads which were OK but a little dry.
They messed up on the main course bringing me swordfish not monkfish. The waiter handled it well - he agreed I’d ordered monkfish and offered to change it. However - given that it would take 15 minutes or more to rectify I opted to stay with the swordfish - which he immediately said that he’d remove from the bill.
The other entrees (why we call the main course an entree continues to baffle me - anyway I digress) were again good but not great. My wife had the pork and the piece of belly pork was rare to raw. Whether by design or not that’s a strange way to serve that cut.
Desserts were fine - they also served us an additional plate of dessert treats - in recognition of the issues.
Again - with the exception of the manager - the staff were very pleasant.
We won’t be going back
As always, we love dining at Gracie’s. The food is outstanding and really appreciated that the table request was fulfilled. We like the extra tasting of duck and sorbet especially when we ordered from the a la cart menu. Our waiter was very pleasant, accommodating, and very reserved. But when we dined there in the past. our waitstaff was very personalble and entertaining which contributed to our enjoyable and memorable evening with our friends. The final touch with the cookies in our car is a great way to end the night!!
I have been multiple times and it’s always amazing!!
Went to Gracie’s before 730 theater. Arrived at 545, ordered 3 course prix fix quickly but didn’t have our entree at 650. Didn’t have time for dessert. They offered to have us return after the theater but living in Newport, that was too late for us. We had multiple servers but our primary server was snarky and ignored us. Food wasn’t good enough to put up with that.
My absolute favorite restaurant in Providence. Their tasting menus are always a fun exploration.
Everything was wonderful. The food ,service, no complaints! A little loud, but it was Saturday. Will definitely return! Already thinking when I can go next. Wondering about the table next to us said They had reward points or some special customer benefits? Please let me know!
We are long time fans of Gracie's, but are finding the food to be a little too fussy and the prices to be way too high for this market. In particular, the prices and selection of wines by the glass were disappointing. The only chardonnay was $25 per 6oz glass. Most glasses were $15 or more for what are $12-18 bottles at a store. $40 entrees on top of that and you're looking at a minimum of $100/person. It's very good, but not worth that. We were also surprised at how few vegetables are included with entrees.
Food was at it’s usual creative and high quality level. Great atmosphere for a special occasion. Service was great.
Perfect place for a special date. Impressive wine list. Excellent menu. Artistic food. Romantic ambiance.
Exceptional food and service will return when I visit Providence again.
Gabriel was an amazing server and made the food experience even better.
Always a great experience. We sat at the bar and were blown away with the level of service and knowledge of the staff.
Gracie's is always outstanding. Every time we visit they always add a little something extra to exceed our expectations. Highly recommend.
My husband and I love going to Gracie’s for special occasions. It’s truly an experience and a treat! Can’t wait to come back again soon.
Gracies made my wedding anniversary extra special! They went above and beyond for our first visit! Will be back soon
a delicious experience! definetly do the tasting menu.
Excellent. A truly fabulous night out. Thank you. I could recommend the restaurant enough.
Had a great dinner, pre-fix menu is a good value for some very nice food. Staff was very attentive and thorough, this is one of the nicest restaurants in Providence.
Simply fabulous. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in until our last bites of dessert. I could go on and on about the food and service. Logan was our server and he was excellent. The food was delicious. Go to Gracie’s.
This is my 2nd visit in 5 years. Always talking about going back after the first time 5 years ago. The food was terrific and the wait staffs are extremely attentive and friendly but not in a pretentious way. Their price is like any other higher end restaurant, but for what they served and the service, it is a real bargain. For me, it was a REAL dining experience!
Our server, Jim, and his supporting servers were most attentive and informative re the choices available for our meal and the wine/after dinner drink we enjoyed. Our table was adequate although, in retrospective, I wish we were a little further from the traffic coming out/in the kitchen. Next time. The portions were perfect.
Somewhat annoying and vaguely threatening that they tell you up front, through Open Table, that you will be charged a fee to your credit card if you don’t come for your dinner date. I can imagine there are those dinners who are less than courteous but it sets an uncomfortable tone for the rest of us....just saying.
Chef 5 course with no gluten was heaven. Excellent pairings of wine. Just sit back and enjoy
I went with great expectations that were not fully met. Good, not great, food and service in a pretty space. Some creative dishes but each with minor flaws that killed the magic. Recommend against the wine pairings, very stingy pours.
Absolutely superior over-the-top service and food! Blown away by the level of service and ultimately, the scrumptious food. From the unique drink options to the bread, the appetizers, the entrees and dessert, this was likely one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. Gabriel, our server, was spot on and very intuitive in his suggestions for entrees. Allen the wine sommelier was interesting and extremely knowledgable, suggesting two wines that were paired perfectly with our food. The entire team at Gracie's, including Maria plus many other individuals that serviced our table was extraordinary. This is a not-to-miss restaurant when visiting Providence.
This was a birthday party for a friend and everything was perfect. Thank you to everyone for making this a special evening. Food was awesome, the wine pairings were incredible and the education was much appreciated! Thank you again!
My wife and I enjoyed an excellent and delicious dinner of scallops and duck. Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and food preparation. We enjoyed ourselves.
It was our anniversary. The wait staff said Happy Anniversary and treated us to glasses of champagne. We chose the 5 course tasting. They were able to handle my gluten free allergy as well as no nuts in the different entrees. The wait staff are very attentive and will describe each dish as they serve it to you. We have eaten at Gracie’s many times and we are never disappointed.
LOVED IT! Came with my mom and we had an amazing experience.
Gracie’s is my go to restaurant for celebrating. It has gotten more casual than it used to be....
I like dressing up. Still wish they offered desserts that were less experimental.
