I went to Gracie's for a quiet dinner with my son and his girlfriend, to celebrate his graduation from URI. It was my first time dining at Gracie's and I was not disappointed. The service was exceptional, as was the 5 course meal! Our waiter asked if we had any food allergies or dislikes prior to our meal prep. All was taken into consideration and it was a delightful experience.
Gracie’s is simply the best. They did our wedding last year, and so we celebrated our first anniversary there. Everything is always perfect: service, food, ambiance. One of my favorite places.
Gabriel was terrific. Loved everything, especially our corner, romantic booth!
I came here with a special friend visiting out of town. The experience could not have been better!
The spicy sausage rigatoni was the best dish I’ve ever had. I don’t know how the flavors were developed, but wow!
Our servers were excellent, and the ambience was perfect. This was an exceptional experience!
I hated my experience. I will not be going back. Nor will I recommend
I have dined at Gracie's multiple times and it has become my family's go-to place for special events. The experience has always been fantastic. During my last visit, everything was as good as it has always been. The sign of a quality restaurant begins with the staff and the attention to service was exceptional. The food as always was excellent both in presentation as well as quality. I highly recommend Gracie's. Of note, the tasting menu, with or without wine pairings, is a great choice.
My husband got married at Gracies and had received a $500 gift card for being a star rewards member so we figured, why not go for our 6 month anniversary!?
The service was wonderful as always and the food was incredible. We chose the 5 course option, no wine pairings. We each ordered 2 cocktails, and enjoyed getting to spend time together at the venue where we got married. They brought us a champagne toast and the kitchen sent us out an extra "sweet treat".
Great place to celebrate any occasion!
Sarah H was a fabulous waitress and made some wonderful recommendations. The service, food, and ambience was truly superb.
Excellent food, service, and ambience — a wonderful fine dining experience for a special occassion.
Great place to go for a special occasion. Food was great.
Our evening at Gracies to celebrate my friend’s birthday was just magnificent! There were six of us and no one at the table had ever experienced such a great time. The food was amazing. Everyone loved their dish. Food was cooked to perfection with so many details. The wait staff were so knowledgeable we even had to ask them how do you know so much about the food and the wine? It was my friend Jim’s birthday and there was even a card on the table for him. There is no detail they don’t think of to make you feel special. The cheese plate first course was outstanding. The cocktails started the evening off on the right foot. We took risks with things we had never had that were on the menu and it was such a treat! If you want to make somebody feel special and celebrate any occasion – go to Gracies. But I would suggest you don’t even wait for a special occasion, go as soon as you can!
Food and service we're excellent as always! The complimentary tasting courses are always interesting and a unique feature of Gracie's.
Food was fantastic and the service top notch
One of the best meals I’ve had. Great all around. The hen egg blew my mind and The ribeye was perfect. Also worth pointing out the bread they serve is ridiculously good. The waiter mentioned they take great pride in making fresh bread in house. Enough about the bread but We will be back!
our daughter came home from Germany so this was a great opportunity to celebrate her visit and the booking were fine. We decided to have 2 guest trying the tasting menu & the other two prefer the regular course which was fantastic. Our first course of the lobster was the best of five since it was cooked perfect & the temperature was great, only a slight missed element didn't deliver any favor was the asparagus. I knew it was seasonal but lack of favor & just a crunch didn't balance the dish well. The soft shell crab was a failure since the crab was too small & missing the deep fried texture or the tempura effects of not using the correct batter. The second n=best dish was our pasta that had a good bite but the duck sausage had a lot of favor & spices that blended in with the other element. Our lamb was cooked well but not seasoned well & the lamb sausage fell apart & missing fat within so was kind of dry. Dessert never disappointed me & I appreciated the chef tried various ingredients to make it more complex but unfortunately your wait staff were not familiar with this dish & couldn't gave us a full description of it before our tasting. I am glad we tried the tasting menu which I gave the chef a lot of credit of putting in new ideas & tried different parings. Keep up with the good work & we'll return.
Visiting our daughter, a teacher in Providence, and treated her and several friends to dinner at Gracie’s. We’ve visited about once or twice a year for the last 6 years and always try to include dinner at Gracie’s. They seem to be getting better and better all the time. Keep up the good work!
My compliments to the chef, great service! The atmosphere was very relaxing. Definitely will go back
We have always been pleased with our visits to Gracie’s and will continue to return both for small dinners and celebratory events.
Gracie's is one of our very favorite restaurants. The service is such that you are made to feel as if you are the only customer in the room. The food is innovative and beyond delicious. And there are so many little "extra's" - a complimentary appetizer bite, sorbet between courses, cookies in your car!
Gracie’s is fantastic. Food, service, drinks, ambience, everything.
waiter was not all that great but we have been to Gracies many times and the food is outstanding
Very friendly service and great food. We were impressed with the knowledge of the waitstaff and their etiquette was very professional, with a nice feel. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.
This was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The atmosphere is very inviting, the service was outstanding, great wine list and delicious food. I had sweetbreads and rabbit which you do not see on every menu and they were both incredible. The wine was very good value for quality. We were one of the last parties in the restaurant and we were not rushed. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning to Providence to eat there again. It was recommended by the guide from our food tour and we are grateful for the recommendation.
Gracie’s always provides us with a great dining experience. Food, service, ambiance are always excellent. On this occasion we brought friends from CA who were equally impressed.
Wonderful experience! Great food, and service! Our server was always mindful of the time so we would be on time for a great concert at PPAC! Will be back for sure!
We had a wonderful time celebrating my Moms birthday at Gracies. This is a perfect place for a special occasion. Also would be a great spot for any foodie looking to let the chef take you through their tasting menu.
Its fabulous. Let them know about your birthday, or anniversary...
You will be transported back to a time when every meal is a banquet and experiential.
Everything as great! As I’m gluten and dairy allergic, they had to adapt my meal. Even so, it’s one of the best dinner of the trip. Food was PERFECT! The only thing I missed was a baby changing place. Because we’re traveling if my 5 months baby.
Really a very nice meal and we opted for the tasting menu but in reality the meal was extremely over-priced. No problem with the taste or the quality but in my opinion the cost was double what it should have been. Enjoyed everything and I knew what I was paying before the meal but just felt it was stupidly over the top for what we were served
One of the best meals of my life. Highly recommend for a nice night out.
Having dined in restaurants all over the world, some of which are world renowned, I find Gracie's to be pretentious to the point of ridiculousness. Call me crazy, but for me, a great restaurant is not simply about the food. I have never much cared for the food at this establishment, but we needed a place to go last minute, and decided to give it another try. How bad could it be. Sadly, we discovered the answer to that question within minutes of being seated at our table. At great restaurants, one is made to feel welcome and relaxed, not as though one has entered a facility where joy is strictly forbidden. From the moment we were seated, our waiter made us feel as though we were being lectured by a disgruntled school teacher, who felt it necessary to put us in our place. We tried to ignore it, however it only got worse as the night progressed.
To be fair, some of the staff were lovely and kind, and I am sure that it cannot be an easy atmosphere to work in for these good people. I cannot fathom how this restaurant has stayed in business for as long as it has. As for the food, it was mediocre, at best.
Best dining experience I’ve had in 10yrs. Our new go to spot for fantabulous everything. Decor, ambience, vibe, service and attention to detail in every single respect. The food was to die for and perfect. Not a missed cue or note, and all the little extras and touches made it magnificent. Love, love, loved it. Thank you so much to ownership, chef, staff et al.
We had another wonderful dinner at Gracie’s, and it was a great place to celebrate my birthday. Thank you!!!
We came here for our first anniversary on April 13, 2019 and had the 7 course chef’s tasting. I do not exaggerate when I say the cheese course was the best we have ever had. All the courses and the wine pairings were delicious, the servers were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. What a wonderful experience! Highly recommended. We can't wait to come back.
Not just a meal, it’s an experience. One of the finest meals and dining experiences I’ve ever had
Fantastic dinner all the way around; the service from Manny and Jim was prompt, pleasant and excellent; the hostess was a pure delight and even the couple at the next table was wonderful! The food was amazing (with the exception of dessert which had mixed reviews but still lovely). The presentation on the dishes was so pretty I took a picture!! The evening ended just as wonderfully as it begin and we were able to take some treats home! We will definitely be back.
Meeting a friend after 45 years of disconnect.
Can't wait to back! Went there for my wife's birthday. So many nice touches. Free tastings. Champagne. Even a birthday card. Food was so fresh and so creative was delicious. Even found cookies in my car after it was valet parked. Loved the whole experience.
Excellent food and service, with great vegan options for a friend. Duck fat cornbread was amazing.
PreTheater dinner. Have never had a bad meal here. Outstanding service, creative cocktails and delicious food.
