She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food. These memories are realized when one walks into Johnny Carrabba’s new restaurant, Grace's.
Book your next event with us
Our waiter Worran(?) was less than charming. I had to get water from Miguel and cream from another part of your waitstaff. My group of 3 met for a book club and I honestly all of us felt he wasn’t interested in helping us.
Our meal could not have been better. Everybody loved his or her food. The blackened snapper special was some of the best fish in memory. I believe they buy whole fresh fish and fillet it in house. The chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, black eyed peas and jalapeno cream gravy was also excellent. Talk about comfort food. As usual the portions were so generous that we had plenty left over to take home to a hungry teenage football player.
The atmosphere was so great that we stayed for several hours conversing, feeling like we were in our own home. The only problem with Grace's is that there are too many good selections on the menu. It makes it difficult to choose, although it is difficult to go wrong with any choice.
Louis our waiter was wonderful!
Great service as always. Chicken biscuit is the best.
We came in a group of 6 and it was everything that I was told it would be. I just didn't get a chance to ty the delicious desserts that was sitting up front. I will be back
First time in also from Tennessee this wa awesome. I will definitely be back on my trip to Houston
Our first time for Brunch. It was the Best Breakfast I have had in a long time. Cream gravy with a taste of jalapeño over a homemade biscuit and scrambled eggs and chicken fried chicken. Awesome. They also make the Worlds Best Chicken Tortilla Soup if you are there for lunch or dinner.
Great food and very friendly staff!
Love this place.
I love this restaurant. My only complaint is the noise level. It is very difficult to hold a conversation during lunch. almost impossible for a business lunch.
Way too loud. Some other concerns but i would rather not get into.
the staff and hostess were extremely accommodating as we had 3 diff tables w 3 diff bills and 2 tables were full of kids. i had never been before so i wasnt sure what to expect. the food was not as good as i hoped based on the price but again, they were very helpful to our large party!
I had a birthday brunch with 6 of my beautiful friends! The frozen mimosa was soooo good, it felt a little pricey for the pitcher but somehow worth it. The plate of chorizo with potatoes that I ordered was delicious! I also tried the fajita steak and eggs plate and I will definitely try that one next time. We had 2 waiters to take our orders and they were very attentive and brought everything out in a timely manner. Can’t wait to plan another girls day!
Our waiter was really attentive and professional. We had a great experience.
First time for brunch. Went at 9:30 and wasn’t too busy. Todd was a great server. Had biscuits and gravy yum! My husband had the strawberry pancakes and loved them. You won’t leave hungry.
Our go-to restaurant always more than satisfies. Took some friends for their first time and they raved about the fried pork chop and the kung fu chicken. Of course, we knew they would enjoy. Grace's is excellent all around, from the delightful hostesses to the service to the food. Cannot go wrong eating there.
My Brother and I meet twice month for dinner and he said that was the best chicken fried chicken he has ever had!
Then, He taste my dish, the stuffed shrimp poblano pepper and his eyes rolled back in his head. Least to say he loved Grace’s and he said he wouldn’t be mad or complained if I chose again for our next “bother sister day”!
The food and service was outstanding. I’ll be coming back soon
My friend and I have very few opportunities to visit, so we try to catch up on everything over lunch. This was my friend's first experience at Grace's (one of my favorite spots). The meal and drinks were delicious, but extra cudos to our server (exceptional service with a smile) and the rest of the staff for allowing us to continue chatting long after our plates were empty.
Great as always. Our server was phenomenal.
The food is always consistently good. However, I do believe a dress code should be implemented for some of your patrons.
Great drinks, appetizers and entries. Waiter was outstanding took care of us and made great recommendations.
Food was extraordinarily delicious, and the service was even better.
It is always an awesome dining experience at Grace’s.
Food and service are second to none. I can’t wait for my next visit.
I really enjoyed my food for HRW. I ordered the gumbo, surf and turf (9 oz ribeye with crawfish cream sauce) with mashed potatoes, and red velvet cake. It was good.
We’ve been here for Brunch, which we’ve always enjoyed; but I recalled seeing the Shrimp burger on the menu, and I’d been craving a good Shrimp burger for, (as my brother jokes) nearly 40 years! (Had a delicious one as a kid traveling with my parents to Monroe, LA, and hadn’t found one to match it since, until today!!!) I now have another reason to visit Grace’s. My husband raved about the Waygu Beed hamburger as well!
All was well!
Great food and our waiter was amazing🤩
Grace's never disappoints. The off menu crawfish mac and cheese is amazing.
We love Graces's, the service is always right on. We have never had a bad food item and I do like try everything.
I will definitely go back. I wanted to try the banana pudding but I was full. It was to hot outside to take it home
We went to Grace’s with the intent of trying it out during Houston Restaurant Week. We were disappointed to find that they were mot serving the HRW menu as they said they were “ too busy” to serve it during brunch hours. This was not mentioned online, on open table, or on website. With that being said Andrew was a great waiter, the chicken tortilla soup was excellent- though lukewarm, the beet salad with blackened shrimp was delicious, the grilled asparagus was cooled perfectly and Randy’s chicken was top- shelf!
The noise level was pretty extreme, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Fantastic! I want to swim in the crawfish toast sauce!
Great food and service! Would definitely recommend and come back again
Very loud ... Waiter was rude when asked how was the food given the first experience from one of the guest
Grace's provides a good dining experience. The food is very good with straightforward recipes. This was for my mother's birthday, and the staff did a nice job accommodating her and her elderly friend.
Food was good but huge quantity! Prepare to share or take home!
Great food. Waiter was nice but didn’t notice I was choking. Could’ve been more attentive. Seemed more focused on selling the days special
The atmosphere was nice, reminiscent of a family kitchen. Unfortunately we had the HRW ribeye steak with crawfish sauce. One steak was over cooked and the other one was very fatty; the sauce was overly salty and the bread pudding dessert was dry. On a good note, the ribs were wonderful. The setting and service was great so I hope to come back to try a different entre.
Excellent service started with a friendly valet attendant near the front door. And the high-end service continued with our hostess and wait staff. Food was excellent and service at our table was perfect. We’ll be back soon.
