She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food. These memories are realized when one walks into Johnny Carrabba’s new restaurant, Grace's.

Lovely evening. Outstanding waiter. On an oyster plate one oyster was not good and the price of the appetizer was deleted from our bill. Food was delicious and innovative.
This was my first visit at the venue, the others in the party had previously visited the restaurant; we truly enjoy the whole experience. We had a time limit and the staff helped us meet our time table. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and I look forward to future visits!
This was my first visit dining in, and the staff was excellent! The food OMG DELICIOUS!
We had reservations for 6 at 11am on a Sunday. Food was adequate. Restaurant was noisy. Our waiter took a long time to take our drink order and then took forever to take our food orders plus he left the table without taking one person's order at the table. We had to flag him down to get the remaining person's order. We had to ask for the complimentary rolls for the table. Also we ordered a cappucino and he forgot to bring it. We were credited for the cappucino.
Never a bad experience. Food was fantastic and so were the frozen pomegranate swirl mimosas. Definitely a stop I have to make everytime I come to Houston.
Food was excellent as usual. The only con to this visit was that the restaurant reported us as a no show to open table when we were in fact there for our reservation even before time. Open table contacted me and we told them it was a mistake and that we actually did dine at our reserved time and I assume they took care of it. Other than that I totally recommend Grace’s. The food is superb.
My fiancé and I went to Grace's to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful meal and our waiter was great. He even brought me ice cream with a candle AND sang to me, which was completely unexpected. My fiancé ordered the steak frites and said the ribeye was better than some steakhouses. Also, his fries were seasoned perfectly! I ordered the creole stuffed chicken breast with mac and cheese and brussels sprouts. Absolutely outstanding. We will be back again for another date night. Can't wait!
Grace's never disappoints - the food and service are stellar. The environment is lovely and parking easy. Winnner winner.
1st time and wow will we be back! Exceptional and our waitress Casey was terrific. We have all made plans to return. We even bought the cookbook.
Desserts were especially great!
Too much air conditioning and quite noisy. Excellent service. Food didn’t live up to raves I’ve heard.
Food was great! The prices are a little high, but it is a nice place to go with family!
We had a great afternoon for lunch and dessert. The area was perfect for us to talk about business.
My friend and I tried to sit inside for lunch, but was so LOUD. We found a spot on the patio, that was way more pleasant and we could hear each other. Love the tuna stack!
Wonderful. My new favorite restaurant.
My husband ordered the pork chops with beans and his food was cold when they served it to him. He sent it back and it was better the second time. He was almost finished eating when the server finally brought out the bread. I had a shrimp sandwich with corn and it was good.
Bobby was great! Offered good suggestions and went extra mile to serve us. Chicken biscuit was crispy and tasty.
Food was delicious. Our server, Oren, was great.
I forgot to mention in my previous response that this restaurant, unfortunately, is very noisy. They are very accommodating to seat you at a "quiet" table, but it's so noisy you cannot enjoy conversation. Just eat and run.
Grace’s was awesome! I met a girlfriend there for brunch. We had a 1045 reservation.. We were seated promptly.. The wait staff was great and the food was delicious.. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend it.
It took a few minutes to be recognized as the waiter was tied up with a large table, but he apologized and was very attentive thereafter. The food is hearty, so we had salads and split an entree, which was perfect. There is a $3 split plate charge, but the entree came out already split, individually plated, and I think with more than a split serving of vegetables, so we didn't mind. We had the chicken fried chicken, and it was great. The jalapeno gravy adds a special spark! The waiter asked if we were happy with the usual sides, so we substituted spinach for the black-eyed peas my husband doesn't like at no extra charge. We've eaten here before and never been disappointed by the high quality food.
Great food, great service.
Our entree selections were all very flavorful and delicious. The amount of food was sufficient, not too much, but just enough. The waiter was pleasant and accommodating. All of the staff were very courteous and friendly. Love the bartender.
Service was outstanding, perfect combination of attention and staying in the background during a business meeting over lunch.
Great service and food
Our waitress was the Best and did an awesome job been that it was our first time coming to the restaurant. Her name is Casey, Jo.D
Thanks again for outstanding customer service
Food and service was excellent! I will definitely be back.
Our 1st time here. The food was excellent. I loved the lemon drop martini. We'll definitely be back!
Great food and attentive service makes for a wonderful dining experience.
Excellent, friendly service and great comfort food in inviting surroundings.
Always a great experience. Wonderful specials. I go at least 3x a month.
I absolutely love Grace’s! The food and cocktails are always really good. The only issue I had during this visit was the time it initially took for our waiter to come to our table. We waited about 8 minutes, which in my opinion, is too long. We were ready to order our entree by the time the waiter came to take our drink order. After that bad start, everything else was fine, from the service to the food.
Our food came out after a group that came after us and they ordered some of the same meals. The chicken fried chicken tasted burnt and the fried pork chop did as well.
Went for Mother’s Day Weekend and the Service was fast and good. Excellent customer service thanks Grace for making my mothers day weekend nice.
My mom had the fried catfish and shrimp platter and it was nice, fresh and crispy just the way she liked it.
I had the stove chicken breast with crabmeat and it was excellent. Chicken breast with crabmeat melted in your mouth. The food was Season very well.
Brunch with my 2 daughters to celebrate Mother's Day. Grace's was a wonderful venue. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Server was top notch, he put in a little more effort to accommodate our 1 mo old and 3 yr old. Great food as always.
Grace's offers a very nice variety of entree items. Food is very well prepared, presented and seasoned nicely. Service is excellent.
First the bad news - the selection I had my heart set in had been changed from the description in the menu. The server let me know ahead of time so there were no surprises BUT it was not nearly as good as the old version. It just didn’t feel like the ingredients meshed. The chicken was tender and well cooked but the stuffing in the side was very dry. And someone in the kitchen loves black pepper which was used WAAAAY to liberally in both the chicken dish and the green beans. (The beans were almost inedible and the leftovers WERE inedible as the pepper had time to meld into the dish)
On the bright side, our server was very attentive. Although his help on the menu was almost to read it to me. It wasn’t helpful - I can read but his heart was in the right place. He was very nice. Truly impressive though was the hostess. As we were leaving, she again wished my friend Happy Birthday BY NAME! And we had enjoyed a long dinner. That she remembered so long after we were seated was astonishing and we were both happily surprised.
All in all a lively evening and dinner
I go to Grace’s very often for brunch and my only complaint is that they automatically add 20% gratuity ONLY on Sunday. I’m not sure why this is. The food is always good and service is amazing. Their dinner menu is also amazing.
Grace’s food is so good! I ordered the Creole Stuffed Chicken and it didn’t disappoint. The mashed potatoes were perfect. For some reason my sautéed spinach seemed a little too salty/garlicky. I ordered banana pudding for the first time. It was delicious. The bananas were fresh, the pudding tasted homemade and the vanilla wafers were crisp! Perfect dessert! I also ordered a glass of Malbec. Very nice choice. Our waitress was excellent!!! She didn’t miss a beat.
