She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food. These memories are realized when one walks into Johnny Carrabba’s new restaurant, Grace's.

Nice and great customer service
Excellent service! Shout-out to Bruce for a fabulous time. From the moment we walked in to the time we left, we felt at home. The food was good minus the pot roast- it was more on the salty side. The chicken fried chicken was good and so was the stuffed poblano with crawfish. We came to celebrate my birthday and I felt so special and well taken care of. Thank you Graces for a wonderful time!
Always fresh food, great fast service. Drinks are delicious!
First time visiting Grace’s and it certainly won’t be the last! Ian as our waiter and he was the best at helping with menu items and was a lot of fun. We had the gumbo, beet salad and Campeche for appetizers. All were very good. Entrees were beef stroganoff, snapper special, chicken fried chicken along with black eye peas Nd Mexican corn. All were outstanding. Saved the best for last with dessert. We shared the lemon ice box pie and the amazing carrot cake. Prices are very reasonable as well and well worth the trip.
I had the stuffed chicken breast, yams and green beans ....it was all delicious. Our waiters were top notch servers. I waitressed all through college...they were great! Pls tip your waiting staff people. If you can't afford to tip according to their service don't dine out!
This was our first time and we went as a group of 6. Everyone was very happy with the service from the time we entered the door until waving good-bye to the wonderful hostesses. I felt very special as if attention was all on me! Thank you to Ian our waiter who had patience and was professional and courteous!
Everything was delicious, the waiter was great
Awesome food and service. Our waiter was outstanding and the food was delicious, as usual. My family and I love Grace’s and we are looking forward to getting back there soon!
I am never disappointed with my meal, or the service. Love this restaurant❤️
WOW! Flavor explosion-Ordered the Shrimp Stuffed poblano!! AMAZING!! Which I had a bigger stomach to eat it all!
From the moment we walked in, the experience was complete! We were seated in a quaint area next to a window but with visual access to the entire restaurant. The service was superior and the food was delicious from appetizers to desserts. The staff hustled around and was able to make us all feel at home! I would highly recommend this restaurant for any and every occasion.

Excellent food and top notch service.
Southern style brunch
It was my 50th Birthday!
Great food. Great experience but the hostess that seated us had a nasty attitude. Please give attention.
We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of the menu and the preparation of the food. The overall experience was very good. The wait staff, the food and the ambiance were all very satisfying. A nice experience.
love the food...service just a little too fussy...but good.
Delicious. Something in the menu for everyone. The “tuna stack” is my favorite, and the wood grilled asparagus can’t be beat. Brussels sprouts and chicken tortilla soup were a big hit at our table too.
I recently had lunch at Grace's while visiting Houston. I started with the Caesar Salad and the croutons were exceptional fresh. For my entree, I had the shrimp burger and chips. The shrimp were chopped and not ground, the burger was very flavorful. And I concluded with the lemon icebox pie. Overall, the food, service and ambience was great.
Our waiter was great and the wait time with our Open Table reservation was less than 5 min on a busy Sunday brunch rush with times above 30 minutes.
Great experience as always.
Had another brilliant dinner at Grace’s! Restaurant was very busy and the wait staff did an excellent job keeping up and keeping in touch with the customer. Carrot cake was again over the top!
The atmosphere was perfect for my bridesmaid's proposal dinner. Great food and great wine!
I love Grace’s, the food is always great. My past experiences were amazing. I went in for my birthday with friends. Our server was not very friendly at all. He never once cracked a smile and was not very warm or welcoming at all. At one point toward the end of the dinner a woman manager was hovering around our table as if to sort of push us out the door. The server then followed suit as if to rush us out the door as well. Very disappointing as I really looked forward to this birthday brunch and chose Grace’s of all places I could have went and spent my money.
It was my first time eating at Grace’s. The menu has a lot of interesting choices. It was difficult on picking an entree because I saw 5 that looked delicious. I finally decided on the creole stuffed chicken breast. The ambiance of the restaurant is lively and very comfortable. My friend and I wound up being there 4 hours chatting away because everything was so good and comfortable. I definitely plan on going back again.
Service is always good. Food can be very good; however had the snapper this time on a salad and it was wayyyyyy too salty and dry. This is not the case for the salmon salad I usually get ,which is usually excellent. Great place for lunch but can be a little on the loud side for business.
The marinated steak salad was fabulous as always, and they have the best iced tea in Houston!
I'd call the food upscale down home. (The prices are more on the upscale end.) There's a lot of comfort food prepared to a very high standard. I had chicken fried chicken with jalapeno gravy plus mashed potatoes and black eyed peas - chicken hot and juicy in a crispy crust. My husband had the chicken pot pie, which was enhanced with seasonings such as tarragon, thyme, and marsala wine. My daughter was advised by the waitress that the sticky ribs would not be enough for a meal, so she added some grilled asparagus - then took half the ribs home because it was so much. The dish is more accurately rib meat; the bones have been removed. It's one of the dishes with an Asian touch; very tasty.
My one disappointment: we indicated on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. The hostess acknowledged on the way in. Most restaurants offer a celebratory dessert, but nothing was forthcoming.
Best restaurant in Houston! Food is always amazing and the service is top notch
I gave 3 stars for overall because our dining experience started off poorly. Upon arrival, the hostess told me that our reservation was not in their system. Luckily, I was able to find my confirmation email. After showing same to her she advised that "they would fit us in". Several people came in after we arrived and was told it would be a 30 minute wait and were offered drinks. At no time did any of the 3 hostess ask if we would like a drink while we waited. I noticed a group of 4 who did not have a reservation was seated before us and when I questioned the hostess I was told "oops there has been a mix up. We will get you seated next". In light of the above, the food was excellent and the young man that served us was very engaging, friendly and polite which made up for the poor service we encountered upon arrival. How can you tell a patron they do not have a reservation then report that the patron failed to show up at the time scheduled?
Our families place to go and judging from the crowd a whole lot of others as well
Good prompt and tasty.
Everything about Grace's was fantastic! Everyone was courteous and the food was delicious!
The food here is sooo good! Especially the gumbo! I wanted to try everything on the menu!
The food and service is excellent!
Late on Sunday night 8:00. Staff was more interested in going home than waiting on us.
Not a good experience as we were rushed through dinner.
I love this place. If i could eat here every day, I would. I have never been disappointed in anything I have ordered and the prices are extremely reasonable. The atmosphere and ambiance make Grace;s suitable for a business meeting or any other occasion.
