The waitress was rude and she tried to overcharge one person at my table
The food was outstanding and the service was great. It's a little pricey, sure, but it's in a prime DC tourist destination at National Harbor so that is basically to be expected. Ask for a window seat on the 2nd floor for views of the Potomac and sunset that are second to none.
We had a reservation for 6:15, 2 adults and 2 kids (6 and 4). We were seated at a great table by the windows right away. Things started off ok, we ordered drinks and took some time with the menu. Once we ordered (entrees for everyone plus some soup, edamame and sushi. ) we proceeded to wait for a long time. Finally after over a half hour with no soup or edamame, they brought over our second carafe of water and said our food would come shortly. Once it arrived, 45 min after we arrived, all of our food came at once. My husband had 3 plates in front of him, I had 2, it was ridiculous. A gentleman who had been sitting at the bar, came over extremely apologetic and offered to buy me another glass of wine, I can only assume he was the owner. The manager quickly came over saying they would take half off our apps. The food was great (seriously I wanted a whole bowl of the Brussels sprouts that came with my kitchen) but they really need to work on their timing in the kitchen.
It was good food and good atmosphere but costly. Good service. Little bit noisy.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere! Amazing views of the Potomac River!
Food and immediate server were Great. Management seemed a bit cold when asked to speak with them about an issue.
I would recommend Grace's Mandarin, I really love it, but it is a special occasion place. It is too pricey for everyday in my humble opinion.
We were here for our daughter’s competition and wanted to eat out with some of the other parents. I had been here last year during my husband’s work trip and the food was delicious and atmosphere was great. So I made reservations again when we came to town . The staff was very nice and accommodating. We had reservations but some in our party were running late and they allowed me to push back our reservations to the time our party arrived. They were very pleasant about it and we even had a great table upstairs. Everyone enjoyed their food and the time we had here. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting National Harbor.
Great food and service. Love the hot towels. A little pricey.
Great food and perfect for a friend get together.
We love the restaurant and the decor. Its fun to get a little stool for your purse and the back of your chair covered, etc. However, the NY strip steak was a grizzly and very disappointing. The rest of the more authentic dishes were better. Its pricey so save it for a treat. great vibes and location
We enjoyed our dinner. The front door gets crowded since there's no waiting area. The service is fantastic from the warm hand towels to the time we get our food.
Ordered teriyaki chicken. Took a bite and it has arrived with a cold, raw middle. Immediately sent it back. Manager refused to deduct from bill citing that “he had spoken with the chef and the chef said it wasn’t that bad”. I was served a second identical dish but explained that I was extremely concerned after ingesting a piece of raw chicken. His expectation was that because I received a second meal after waiting (under a time constraint), that there should be no exception for removing it from the bill. I asked him what the alternative would have been-to have skipped dinner altogether? I asked him why in the world, with only an hour to eat, I’d bother to send a meal back if something had not been egregiously wrong with it. I told two servers and himself and no one seemed nearly as concerned as I was. If the other person I was dining with hadn’t been in the middle of his meal, I would have left and I’m really sorry I didn’t get up and walk out. I’m an upscale customer dressed as such who carried myself with the same decorum who had an issue and was treated as if I were a criminal looking for a handout freebie dinner.
Their idea of hospitality is raw food and that the guest is always wrong. I’m at the Gaylord several times a year and always eat there when I am. I had just recommended them recently to a group of friends who stayed recently in the area for a convention. I will NEVER dine here again or recommend it and will go out of my way when National Harbor is mentioned to steer friends away from it. This is not because of the raw chicken, which is a stupid and faulty mistake, but a mistake any kitchen might make (theoretically). The follow up treatment directly from manager “Chris” is what will keep me from EVER going back.
The food, service, and ambiance were absolutely outstanding! I'll be back!
Food was delicious, service was good, and parking was available a block away
The food and service was meh. Which is unusual for Graces. I had a reservation, but I had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. I will give them a try again in a few months.
Our family always enjoy the service and delicious food!
Amazing service and food is to die for! They were able to accommodate our large group without sacrificing service.
A very minor complaint about the eel shashimi; it was over cooked. Everything else was delicious and portions were adequate. Great service all around.
This is a second visit to this establishment. The service was extremely slow. It seemed to take a long time to get the appetizer and people who had ordered after us got their food before we did. After another long wait the main courses were served. The food was cold and evidently had been prepared for sometime before the wait staff got around to delivering it to our table. I spoke with the manager on duty to explain this disastrous experience. He remarked that he'd make sure ours was first up, but after waiting nearly an hour for the original entrees I declined. We won't be going back.
Service felt very rushed. Despite some of our table ordering apps and soup all food was brought at the same time. This is American Chinese food not authentic Chinese and was very average if not below average.
One of my favorite Asian restaurants. Service, ambiance and food are all excellent.
They gave a very nice pair of chopsticks as a birthday gift.
Took wife for birthday dinner on a Friday night. She ordered salmon, I ordered duck & scallops with rice. Salmon so overdone, it needed a knife to cut. Duck was mostly skin, rice was cold, & scallops were burnt on outside & raw on inside.
Also ordered glass of wine. Wine came with food remnants swimming in bottom of glass.
Wasted almost $100, after 15% server tip.
Service was excellent, ambiance extraordinary, and the food delicious! My only negative is that the serving sizes are on the smaller side and barely room temperature once it reached the table. The presentation of our dishes was quite artistic and added that little extra! We would all happily go back again!
Best cuisine in National Harbor
Beautiful, w good food, but pricey.
We were having a date night dinner and from the moment we entered Grace’s Mandarin it was an amazing experience. The food from appetizers thru dessert was exceptional!! The wait staff very attentive but not smothering. The craft cocktails were fabulous!! It was our first visit but will not be our last. Well worth the price. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience!!!
We enjoyed the restaurant, and food. However, we had to ask for condiments, such as soy sauce, orange, sauce, etc. And, we had ordered a side of broccoli. By the time it came, we were finished with our meal, so basically, we wasted our money after a few pieces.
The food was wonderful! Would absolutely go back! Loved it!
Excellent food and service as usual. Loud, large party seated by us was hard to talk over but we managed. Grace's even gives out a couple birthday gifts to take home!
The food was good the service was terrible didn't like her service to us.
It was amazing and delicious. One of our party didn’t like her meal but she was comparing it to another restaurant ... so ....
The ambience was very nice and the service was excellent. The food selection was also very good. I selected this location because of the vegetarian options and I was not disappointed. I would highly recommend this location for date night.
Crispy beef came out warm to cold.
The food was wonderful and the wait staff was very attentive.
Grace's Mandarin is one of my favorite restaurants in the metro area. Favorite for good food, wonderful presentation, excellent service, location and view. I've dined there many times and the food and atmosphere are consistently excellent. The menu is extensive giving one many choices and an opportunity to try something new the next time!
The food was terrible it had lack of taste uncooked
The food was just okay. I ordered shrimp tempura sushi rolls which I’ve had at many different restaurants before and this restaurant served the smallest pieces of shrimp I have ever had before in my rolls. It was like I was eating rolls of rice and a piece of avocado and that was it. The crab Rangoon had some weird cheesy sauce on it; I am used to getting fried crab Rangoon and having a red sweet sauce to dip it into, so this tasted very different and I honestly couldn’t tell if I liked it or not. Only ate two pieces of it and I was done. My husband ordered some steamed seafood platter and it looked gross. I had no desire to try it; he said it was just ok. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere and cool decor.
Nice date night place. Service charge and extra taxes seem excessive plus you pay for psrking6.
