Grace - Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
Amazing! There are too many chains in Downtown Fort Worth. This is exceptional! You could probably order your least favorite food and be surprised about how delicious it is. Must try! ...and the patio outside on a nice night is an awesome spot to wait for your table or the rest of your party to arrive.
What a wonderful dining experience! The food was excellent, but the service was even better. I cannot wait to come back.
Note - Grace has several weekly specials that are worth checking out (for example, sample menu items every Weds for a nominal cover charge).
Grace is always excellent. The food and service are always well done. We had the tasting menu. The bites were a perfect size. The tandoori scallops were delicious. Didn't love the dessert however that was due to personal preference and not the execution. My husband ate my portion as well as his own.
The service was disorganized. I ordered a cocktail and wine with dinner. The wine arrived first, then dinner. I told the staff that I wanted the cocktail before dinner, not after it. They held the dinner and apologized. One of the staff told me that she was unaware that I had ordered a cocktail (which I had ordered from a different person), as if it was my fault. The cocktail finally arrived without the garnish that I had ordered (cucumber). Later, when I was nearly done with the cocktail, they brought out a plate of sliced cucumbers. In remorse, they comped us one dessert. The steak was delicious, as were the sauces, and cooked to oder. But really, for these prices, anyone would expect the service to be more organized. It was almost comical.
Nice setting, good service. Food was disappointing at any price. My pork chop with corn had an uneven temperature throughout so it was obviously warmed in a microwave. Overall temperature was tepid. My wife liked her filet but it certainly wasn't anything special. The ala carte vegetables were not good. Butterscotch pudding dessert was probably the best part of the meal. We won't be going back.
Exquisite experience: service is on par and attentive, any food selection will satisfy your palette, use the expertise of the sommelier to choose the right bottle or glass of wine. There are restaurants and then there is Grace which stands out above the rest.
My experience at Grace was underwhelming considering how much we paid. We tried the Chef's tasting menu with the wine pairing for $130 pp. All of the food looked and sounded delicious but each dish was a little off, maybe due to seasoning. Nothing was horrible, but nothing wowed us either. The wine paired with the meal and the service was great, but the main star (the food) was below par. Would probably not go back for what we paid.
Grace is outstanding. Beautiful decor, great location with windows looking out onto downtown Fort Worth, amazing food and very friendly service. We have been there four or five times and have always been impressed. They gave us really helpful recommendations on wine. The food is as good as anyplace in Dallas, New York, Chicago, etc. Possibly the best steak we've ever had...but it is not a steak house. You have to try it, at least once.
We had the summer tasting menu and were extremely impressed. Inventive, flavorful dishes. The bottle of wine the sommelier recommended was excellent. Our waitstaff was friendly and helpful. They even held our leftover boxes in their fridge while we went to the symphony. Loved the entire experience and can't wait to return!
