Gourmet and Company
First time at Gourmet and Company but will not be my last. Service was great and food was outstanding. The only complaint is that it is somewhat loud but that is to be expected with it full of happy customers.
Always a great experience! Joey is an amazing server!!
Never disappoints !
Excellent as always. Food and service were outstanding. Best food in the area hands down.
While it was a lovely lunch overall, the food was not up the usual excellent standards I've come to expect. The fruit salad lacked variety & the bread on my sandwich was burnt on one side, so I was a little disappointed with my meal.
This is the spot to go for high end dining in the Tri-Cities. The menu flips seasonally with new items and staples, and it’s always delicious and made with amazing care. The service has always been top notch. Give it a try if you’re in town, it’s a local gem.
Great food and excellent service
Amazing food, great service. It’s a hidden gem really!
The food was good and we sat outside which was nice, there wasn't anything that stood out but it was expensive. Overall a good place but not on my rotation due to the cost to flavor and experience ratio. I have no issues paying $40-50 for an entree if it is worth it, mine wasn't.
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I come back every year I am in town
Always a great experience and great food!
Went for a 35th anniversary and we’re very pleased with the ambience, the food and the service. The only reason I didn’t give the food 5 stars was because my husband‘s sauce on his steak was a little too much like A1. That being said it was cooked perfectly as well as everything else we ordered. The lobster and scallops were amazing! We made our next reservation to bring out of town guests in a few weeks and will return again and again!
This is such a good restaurant. The chef changes the menu seasonally, and there are great specials in addition to the menu. Good drinks menu and wine selection. Great servers and bar tenders. Check it out. Everything from the burgers to the dry-aged ribeyes to the seafood is expertly prepared. The desserts are wonderful. The lunches are a treat, too.
Always good! Always fresh! Always friendly!
Great little gem in Johnson City. Always looking for non-chain local restaurants and G&C did not disappoint.
Always consistently great food. I love this restaurant and also love their store a few doors down. I usually come for lunch, but dinner is divine as well. I highly recommend this place!
Loved having our meal in the courtyard outside and Joey was an excellent server
I recommend Gourmet others had not. Everyone was pleased with their meal, and all were talking about returning.
We've dined here numerous times, although we live in Knoxville. My spouse works regularly in JC and this is our go-to restaurant for a great experience. This time we had deviled eggs and an incredible summer tomato salad to start. After that I opted for brisket and my spouse had fish. Both were excellent. The wait staff is great as well. We usually take our own wine, for what it's worth, since we have plenty at home, but they do have a nice list with a variety of options. The price point is a good one for this quality of food. Definitely worth a visit.
From the food, to the servers. Everything was fantastic. Have zero complaints. Honestly the nicest restaurant within 100 miles. 10/10 will be going again.
Gourmet and Company is always a treat....yesterday didn't disappoint one bit!
Our food and service was superb! We will definitely be back.
An enjoyable experience. Our table was ready and the service and food were very good.
My wife and I go to Gourmet and company for special occasions. We have never been disappointed in the food, service, or the overall ambience of the restaraunt.
Gourmet and Company is one of my favorite places for lunch or dinner in Johnson City. Consistently great quality food and service. I have lunch here frequently with my girlfriends and my children. We all love this place. I would highly recommend it for any occasion. Best sweet tea you can find in the south!
The food and service is always exquisite, but I think it is a little pricey for the food.
the atmosphere is excellent and very relaxing....service amazing, food outstanding and the cost is very reasonable for what you get....the best restaurant in Johnson City by far!!! Background music perfect,
the presentation of the food is just beautiful and the staff could not be better....and the chef is amazing!
This is a very nice lower upscale restaurant that we had heard about while attending the East Tennessee Amateur Golf Tourney. It is somewhat lacking from the exterior as it sits in an older strip mall. Once inside you will be quite pleased with overall ambiance of the restaurant. Service was spot on and we felt very welcome. Wine list was adequate though probably short of inspiring. I had a nice little 3 wine flight and you can’t beat the $10 price. There was a limited menu which we normally find to be indicative of very good food. My wife ordered the market price Grouper and was very pleased. I really wanted to try the fried chicken and/or the pork tenderloin but alas they had sold out earlier in the evening. Since our reservation was at 8:30, I had no issue with this and instead chose the bone in filet mignon at market price. Both of is had a very good meal, not the finest meal ever but a fine meal nonetheless. My wife orders a very nice banana bread desert that is also very good. Now here is part where things start going south.... and I’ll start by saying I’m partly responsible for not asking in advance. The check comes and my wife’s grouper is a reasonable $38. Incidentally, we have $300 checks and $100 bottle of wines often enough in some truly fine restaurants including many prime steakhouses. Our bill isn’t absurd at $170, but my bone in filet was $105.00, yes ONE HUNDRED FIVE. No special sauce, no side of crab or lobster tail, just the filet. Now it was good, but $105.00!! That is simply obscene. I didn’t feel the need to rip on the nice server as it certainly isn’t her fault, but a strip mall restaurant with a menu from $25-45 shouldnt be serving a $105 steak without warning. The sad part is that I would have gone back multiple times as I frequent the Tri-Cities often. Just overall sad....
This was a great place for a girls lunch! The setting was beautiful, the table I'd requested was spot-on, and the food was super delicious! It was quiet so we could talk without having to compete with the background music. It's pricey, but I'd say it's worth it!
Outstanding dining experience!
Thanks. .I'll be back!
Food was delicious and well plated. I loved the fresh vegetables and use of local ingredients! Will visit every time I travel to the area. Yum!
There have been a couple improvements to the menu since I had last visited. However, I wish their daily specials would be better than some variation of a fish sandwich every time I am in there. I am typically excited to try new things, but when the specials are constantly fish sandwiches I am disappointed.
Excellent food and excellent service. Tables are too close and noisy. We enjoyed it so much
The food at Gormet and Co is always good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place for any occasion.
Nice place to go for dinner , food was very exquisite, polite and kind employees i reserced a table and requested a mid shelf sweet wine ro be there befor we got there and it was as ordered . great night love the enviroment would recommend anyone to go there be as bold to say the president him self would love it .
Table of six, seated at 6 p.m. and did not receive checks until 9 p.m. Food was excellent but felt the service was a little slow. We weren't looking for fast turn around and wanted nice relaxing evening but could have been better.
We recently moved to Johnson City and this was our first chance to dine here. Everything was DELISH, especially the stuffed squash blossoms. Along with Sabores, best place to eat in JC!
Love the wine flight option. This is the only place in JC that offers that as far as I know. Food was ok. Nothing bad but also nothing to write home about. The drinks were the star. Had a cocktail at the bar before dinner and it was fantastic!
