Fantastic meal all around, starting with their famous cheese bread to the appetizers to a perfectly cooked steak and all with impeccable service from Beau. Another amazing meal at Gotham’s as is customary whenever I dine here. Thank you Gotham’s!

We came here for date night and were greeted by 3 staff who took my jacket. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They navigated us to the 2nd floor, where I requested for a quiet location, and our server promptly came with the menus. He was knowledgeable and explained the menu very well. It was the first time in a while I memorized everything he said. We ordered 2 appies, 2 entrees, 3 sides to share and a dessert. Note, the sides are huge. My date had the Wagyu beef. It was delicious, fatty and rich. Even at 4oz, she was full. I ordered 8 oz fillet. I wasn’t a big fan of the outside of the meat, but as I dug in, it started to get tastier and softer. It was under-seasoned, but still good. The medium rare for both was done perfectly. The cheese toast is a star! It’s a must have, and they do a great job. That was easily my favourite appie. So simple, yet so perfect. Since we order the Idaho Potatoes, the server came to dress it for us. He was attentive and upbeat which is always great to see. We can’t say enough about the staff. They are the industry standard! However, the sides (Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, potatoes) weren’t our favourite. Perhaps we need to try something else next time as we ended up taking them home. We finished the night with a classic. Vanilla Bean Crème Brule. It was devoured in seconds. As I made my way downstairs to find the bathroom, one of the chefs saw me looking lost and immediately directed me to the basement where the bathrooms are. I love the initiation from staff. Very attentive. Overall, it was a great first experience at Gothams and I understand why they are popular in Vancouver. Like most fine dining, it can get dark inside. Definitely give it a try and see if this will be your main steakhouse!

I preferred Hys to Gotham if I had to choose between the two. Service was okay and steaks were comparable to The Keg.

We have been to Vancouver 5x now and somehow missed this great place. Atmosphere was perfect, food and drinks were outstanding along with a terrific waitress. Highly recommend!
