Gordon Ramsay Steak - Paris Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
I was extremely disappointed.
Service was terrible. We were at our table for 15 min before the waiter stopped in to great us. That should have been my clue to leave.
The waiter gave us a brief overview of the menu, drinks and tasting menu and suggested the bottled water. He stopped back in 10 min to take our beverage order and then we didn’t see him again until we were at our table for 45 min. When he finally came to take our order he didn’t explain any of the meat choices or how they were prepared.
When our dinner arrived our steaks were smothered in red wine demi-glace which neither of us like. I saw options for sauce on the menu but no where did it say the red wine demi was standard. I had to flag down another waiter as I hadn’t seen our waiter since we ordered. The waiter I flagged down found our waiter and our steaks were replaced in under 5 min which I found strange. Did they give us the wrong order initially? I didn’t see all steaks delivered with red wine demi-glace.
The steaks were good but no one checked to see that they were prepared to the correct temp.
At this point we just want to leave but our waiter is still MIA. When he finally arrives at our table with desert menus we explain that we are full and would like the check. He leaves the menus and tells us he will give us a few moments to look over the menu.
After a few minutes the server assistance stops over and we ask him to get our check. He takes the menus and goes in search of the waiter.
5 min later we got a complimentary desert delivered to our table. Sticky pudding, not anything I would have ordered. We send the server assistant away and again ask for our server. He does finally appear, without the check, just to see if we are impressed with the desert we sent away. We give him our credit card and send him away to settle up the check. He finally got the message.
This experience at the restaurant started at 7:45 and we were held captive until 10pm.
I had been waiting for months to eat here and it did NOT disappoint. After watching Ramsey shows for years I was determined to get the Beef Wellington but our server recommended the Rib Cap. I surprised myself by ordering that instead and it was the BEST STEAK OF MY LIFE!! I have NO regrets of missing out on the Wellington for that Rib Cap. My husband and I shared the brussel sprouts and mac and cheese as sides. Both were good but obviously the steak was the star. We are no strangers to paying a premium for great food and this absolutely was worth it. I'd go back any day and recommend it to anyone looking to have an amazing meal.
Seriously disappointed. They brought us the wrong food first and no apology, the waiter just seemed angry that we were there and my steak was HORRIBLY burnt. I have gone to The Restaurant Gordan Ramsay (London) , and his fish and chips and burger joint (las Vegas) and these are much better representations of how he teaches and cooks. Gordan please go back to steak and teach them to be better because that sucked...
The food was incredible, our server was adorable and very attentive! She seemed like she knew the menu well and helped us decide what was best! The only this that could have made this night better was if Gordon came and said hi!! Loved everything about this place!!
Expensive but we realised this for meals. However servers constantly push expensive cocktails and extras. 2 bottles of water for table was 20 dollars. 2 plates of French fries 25 dollars.
Mains were nice, but wouldn’t go back. Way overhyped to make money off tourists.
Japanese A5. Stupid expensive but worth it if you have the money.
Everything was good. Some of it wasn't as good as I've had at the best restaurants but the difference was minimal and some of it was just plain outstanding.
We picked the Hell's Kitchen tasting menu. The salad? I would have chosen something a little different, but it worked well. The seared scallops were good but nothing to write home about.
The lobster tail/wellington was perfect. The breads were better than expected. The sticky toffee pudding was incredible if a little rich (but that's what it's supposed to be).
All in all a lovely food experience and if it weren't for the wagyu it would have been cheaper...but really I've had better food for $100 less with more courses. If it weren't for the price I wouldn't have anything negative to say at all. This simply isn't a "fine" dining establishment; you can walk in wearing shorts and runners. I LIKE that about the place, but it brings down what you can charge. The pop culture status of Ramsay is fun to brag about to the kids so there's that but it's only worth so much. The steak was brilliant. The food combos were good, maybe not great, but not brilliant. For over $500 for a meal for two I'll look elsewhere for top of the line food.
There are scads of less expensive ways to eat here though, and they're all lovely, so I'd still absolutely recommend the restaurant. It's just a little pricey.
We had a fabulous experience. We arrived a quite early for our reservation. We inquired about going to the bar for drinks until our reservation time. The hostess offered to go ahead and seat us if we'd like. We were seated at a wonderful table on the balcony overlooking the beautifully decorated restaurant. Our server Rene was great. He was knowledgeable, attentive and I must say patient while we tried to decide what to order as everything on the menu sounded amazing.
Cocktails were great. I landed on the 12 oz beef wellington and my wife ordered the American Kobe Filet. Both were stunning as we expected they would be. What I didn't expect was how ridiculously tasty the humble baked potato could be. Oh my!!!! The Maine lobster appetizer was great though I must admit it was a small dish for the price. Having said that we didn't have room for dessert and left absolutely stuffed. We would definitely return.
We ate here the year before and the food was outstanding, so coming back this year was a must. The two of us ordered the beef Wellington and both were on the rare side of medium. Rare as in the meat was still cool not even warm, it was a little too rare for our taste. The both of us were able to eat around the outside of the meat but, even the purée was cold... The appetizer was the scallops were amazing and the Sticky toffee dessert was wonderful! Will we eat there again probably not, is it worth someone trying yes... definitely will try Gordon Ramsay’s other restaurants! The GR Pub and Grill & the GR Fish and Chips was great!
I was expecting a Michelin star experience only to find that this was just another fine steakhouse. The ambiance at either of the other two, well know steak houses would have been more appealing for my 30th wedding anniversary. They at least have table cloth's.
Can't give you 5 stars
My boyfriend and my brother and I went to celebrate 2 birthdays. We got the tasting menu. Not as good as it used to be. The beef Wellington was waaay too salty and they changed the dessert on tasting menu to something called a peanut butter bar, which was also too salty. The sticky toffee pudding used to round out the tasting menu and it is way better.
Additionally I paid for wine pairings. The Sommelier brought the wrong wine for second course. Instead of taking it away, he left it sitting on the table and brought the correct wind.
Staff was disengaged on this visit as well. This used to be my favorite. I’ve been for 3 birthdays and several other visits. This was likely my last.
