Gordon Ramsay Steak - Paris Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
The tasting menu was very average for the price. The dessert was the best thing on the menu. The good was similar to any fine dining restaurant, with nothing exceptional. In fact we commented later that it was lake gourmet fast food. We had reservations and yet were rushed through the courses. We had been served two courses before finishing our cocktail. Our table was in an aisle.
The food was very average American higher end dining. The cheese in the salad was very good, but there was no attention to detail in the presentation. This is not even close to a Michelin one star restaurant. This is about saying you dined at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, and you are given an autographed picture of him at the end of the meal.
Nothing on the menu is unique. Everything is produced en-masse.
Although we had a budget of $200 for 3, we had a lovely dining experience! From the attentive service, beautiful decor & delectable menu, STEAK really made our visit to vegas memorable. The breads & butter was delish; steak was perfect, braised short ribs were tender & luscious; my fishermans feast was good but could have used some extra flavour. I was very disappointed that the $12 potato was not included in the takeout box! I had specifically left about half to eat later & was upset that it wasn't in there! The servers were great but a little pushy..as I said, I had a budget & was a little embarrassed by constantly refusing to add a salad or order more drinks!
We love watching Gordon Ramsey so we were excited to visit his restaurant. But the food was good, not as amazing for the price as it should have been and the service was just okay too. For us having a team of 3 or 4 waiters, our party of 4 was always short on refills or some of us would get refills while others wouldnt. It was a nice experience. The chairs were extremely comfortable but I would not go back.
My experience at this restaurant was not a great one. My primary issue was with the food as my steak was very overcooked and sent it back. I did not get a new steak as we waited at least 30-40 minutes for our food as is. The Mac and cheese I nibbled at was decent but nothing but a slight upgrade from a chain restaurant. The cocktail I ordered was not good at all, possibly one of the worst I have ever had. The person I was dining with tried it and agreed. Wasn't impressed with his either. I have been to another Ramsay restaurant that was very good and was hoping the same for this place but it fell very short.
We always try to visit this restaurant on our visits to Las Vegas. However we book ahead of time as it is nearly impossible to just walk up and get seating. Seating is usually available at late hours. Food is great. Try the Rib Cap steak. It melts in the mouthy
If you have ever seen one of Gordon Ramsey's shows and seen him cook or even explain what some foods if cooked right are supposed to taste like, then, you will totally get it when you eat here. The food exceeded my wife and I's understanding of what food should taste like. It's expensive, but worth every penny!
I dined alone. I felt the waiter was not honest with me. I ordered Beef Wellington. He told me that the dish came with a smear of mashed potato and a garnish and that I should order 2 sides in order to have a filling meal. I ordered a baked potato and the mushroom side. I ordered a beet salad before he even described the meal, so he knew that. I was very full, could not eat more than 2 forkfuls of potato to at least try it. I had the mushrooms. He asked if I wanted a glass of wine or sparkling water, etc. I took sparkling water and it was a huge bottle. I had a half glass of it. I feel he ran my bill up in a devious way. The meal was a Christmas gift from my daughter and I ended up spending thirty dollars with tip of my own savings for the trip. Diana McNeill, 208-15 Kennedy Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
My husband and I are huge Gordon Ramsay fans from all his shows. We decided to eat at Gordon Ramsay Steak for our 2 year anniversary. We were blown away. The bread was amazing, the cocktails were excellent, and there are no words to describe the food. The beef wellington was phenomenal! Do not leave without having the sticky toffee pudding. I didnt want it to ever end. Richard, our waiter, was just terrific. He made the experience. Gordon Ramsay is who is he for a reason.
It would be hard to describe or comprehend how a restaurant of this level could so miss the mark. Our reservation (that's the thing that HOLDS you a table) was for 8:45 pm. We were led to our table for two, dead centre in a long row of tables for two at 9:30 pm. This was even after the manager was advised of our unacceptable wait time (we watched no fewer than 5 parties being seated before us - one of which was a table for two after we had been ASSURED we were next to be seated). We then waited so long for our food, that we actually cancelled my order and were in the process of cancelling my husband's when our unapologetic waiter brought it out. We were offered one free appetizer to compensate for our nasty experience. It was WAY too LITTLE, WAY too LATE. The whole experience was quite unbelievable and for the first time EVER we did not leave a tip. If Gordon Ramsay himself was privy to the details of our experience, he would be horrified.
Reservations made more than 6 months in advance, good thing...when we got there, the hostess said the restaurant was booked all night. Aside from the hostesses, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was to die for! The beef wellington (as expected) literally melted in my mouth! The mac n cheese, could not have been better! Everything was so delicious we couldn't save room for dessert....just a good reason to go back!
Second time we've eaten at Ramsay's and the food never fails to impress. Service wasn't the best this time around (they forgot to bring out one of our sides until after we'd finished our steaks), but compensated by giving us free deserts. Overall it was great.
Excellent service and ambience. Their special cocktails are really good along with their complimentary bread. The steaks though tender lacked flavor. We were given very dull steak knives that could barely cut through the asparagus let alone the prime rib and wagyu making the meal harder to enjoy.
We had a wonderful meal, with great service. We tried several appetizers, different cuts, & a dessert. I made the reservation for 5, about a month in advance. We felt fortunate to be seated upstairs. As we walked through the downstairs dining room on our way to our table from the bar, you easily noticed it was very loud. My only disappointment was that the 40th birthday we came to celebrate wasn't recognized. I noted it when making the reservation, and also when being seated. I would strongly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy great food, & service. I look forward to returning.
For a steak house, you would hope that the steak knives would cut the meat but they struggled to do so. One of the dishes ordered was the special…risotto with peas and 2 scallops (med sized))…$65. Outrageous overpricing. The raw meat cart that goes around should impress but we all know that the meat gets thrown away at the end of the day…I have a problem with that. The place is very pricey for a mediocre meal.
Cannot express how fantastic this place was. Took my girlfriend there for a romantic dinner. Service was impeccable. Wine list went on forever... and the food was nothing short of amazing. My girlfriend literally started crying tears of happiness during the dessert! GR's sticky toffee pudding was out of this world. I recommend choosing the food tasting as we did. If you plan on seeing a 7pm show, make a 4:30pm reservation and enjoy the dinner without rushing.
Upon arrival we were quickly seated upstairs in another room. We were quickly helped by the waiter and his co-waiter. The guys were extremely knowledgable in the meat cuts and was helpful in recommendations. I liked that they are attentive with small details such as water. My cup was always filled when I wasn't looking.
Great service and friendly staff. Would recommend the restaurant for service itself.
The beef wellington is to die for...absolutely delicious! Pretty much everything you order will be on point. Service was rather slow though, took almost 30min to get some bread, so by the time we actually got something going we were starving. ...but definitely worth the wait!
We had an outstanding experience. Our waiter, Anthony, and his helper were superb. The food presentation, quality and taste were outstanding. One of the best restaurants I have visited. We told Anthony we were with our youngest daughter celebrating her birthday and, she was an educated chef. Would he be so kind as to show here the various stations of the open kitchen. After dinner he came to take her on the tour and even introduced her to one of the chefs who continued the tour. Overall this was a first class operation.
This was one of the best meals that my partner and I have ever had. We are huge foodies and couldn't have asked for better.
We did the Hells Kitchen menu with wine pairing. The wines were perfectly paired to the dishes. While it seems a little pricy ($500 for the two of us) we did not feel ripped off at all as we were waited on hand over foot.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant. It was more of an experience than just another meal out.
We have been wanting to try Gordon Ramsey Steak for quite sometime. Our only regret...that we didn't try it sooner!! It was a fabulous experience from the moment we sat down and Jonathan navigated our way through a 4 course delight. Well worth the price; it was perhaps the best meal/experience we've had in Las Vegas.
The appetizers and sides were all really good. The steak was average. We did get the bone in rib eye and they offer better steaks such as rib caps and wagyu. I like to see how good the rib eye is first. The rib eye was below average. Our waiter was good and nice but, tried to up sell us a little. I hate that.
He advised that the 28oz. rib eye wouldn't be enough to share. Yet they have rib caps that are only 8oz. for one person.
Gordon clearly is involved with the food as it was excellent. Waiter seemed a little more driven on running up the tab, for what I assume was a larger tip. When realizing we were only ordering a typical meal with only one drink, he came around much less often. Time was the biggest issue here. One person within our group of four ordered chicken. As referenced by the waiter, chicken alone takes 45 minutes to prepare. Why would it take so long for chicken? Nonetheless, the meal was drawn out much longer than we all had preferred with a lot of down time. When the meal finally arrived, we had already eaten quite a bit of bread which made enjoying the delicious meal that much less. Paris, the hotel where the restaurant is located, is not as nice as many of the others and in actuality was surprised such a restaurant was still located here, hidden in a corner no less. Make it past the casino environment of the hotel, prepare for a long wait once seated and you'll most definitely enjoy one of the better meals offered in Las Vegas.
Spent over 2 1/2 hours there, mainly cuz we waived over 90 minutes for our beef wellingtons that came cold as ice, well, almost. Food was ok otherwise, all waiters dressed better than me in cufflings, made a big showing of presenring their steaks. I enjoyed Ramsey's Burgr the night before a lot more.
We loved the presentation was amazing; however, as good as the sides were, our 32 oz steaks were not very tender. For the cost of the meal, our expectations were not met. The service was good but very slow. We barely had time to make our show even though we sat down at 4:30. I am a great admirer of Gordon Ramsey but I think this experience was lacking.
Using Open Table was an excellent experience.
