   Amazing spot, great bar in the lower lever, very cozy in the winter months with the fire going. Incredible meal, great wine selections with very helpful, knowledgeable Som and staff!

   What a disappointment again! Don’t bother. The food is mediocre and the service is bad, including the lead server. I felt it was so weird that they would charge us $8 for bread for our octopus appetizer or that the service manager would take pictures of the plates. This was the second time we were at G&G - we really wanted to like this place. We are done-it is not with it. We don’t understand the good ratings.

   Downstairs bar was very nice, cocktails were great, and server was pleasant and fun. Then, upstairs for dinner with excellent service as well. All four of us enjoyed the apps: sticky pig ears, corn croquettes with piquillo pepper coulis were tasty and well prepared. Dinners were fabulous. We had the scallops, duck, gnocchi, and a burger for the burger lover. All were very enjoyable, well prepared, and delivered to our table by friendly and engaging staff. Two desserts were split by the four of us. The Blondie split was phenomenal! Perfectly baked Blondie with Buffalo Milk Fior di Latte Ice Cream, Luxardo Cherries, Candied Wild Pecans was my favorite. Come me to think of it, I never tasted the Chocolate Ganache Cake ( with Port Poached Morettini Pears, Chantilly Cream, Candied Hazelnuts), but the plate was devoured by my table mates! Shout out to the mixologist who prepared spot-on martinis! We'll be back!!

   For the money, the food wasn’t quite at the level of quality we were hoping for. Every dish we tried came up a bit short of “the wow factor.” Service was good. Cocktails and wine selection very good. The place itself was fantastic. Perhaps they could have turned the music down a bit.

   Absolutely our favorite place to enjoy consistently delicious food! Service has always been excellent as well. Just had a fall gnocchi dish last night with chanterelles and delicata squash that was heavenly. A must try if you’re in Saint Helena! ❤️

    Sitting outside on a cold night is not ideal, but we were warmed by a delicious meal and interesting bottle of wine. Pig ears were crispy and surprisingly approachable-- think Potato Sticks! Glad we did not skip soup (Mushroom soup poured directly from God's mouth) or dessert (key lime pie that could win over the most dissenting sweets eater.) 10 out of 10 would recommend this roadside restaurant!

    Forgot our appetizer. Forgot the side of macaroni. Didn’t acknowledge the birthday celebration. We tried the wine and decided we might not want it and we’re treated like a nuisance. Would not recommend or go back.

    Great dinner experience! My wife and I had a cocktail at the downstairs bar and dinner upstairs. It was a warm cabin like feel with fantastic food. We can’t wait to get back!

    My husband and I were visiting Napa Valley and Goose and Gander was recommended to us by both a wine distributor and our hotel. But it was such a disappointment. We arrived (a Tuesday evening) on time for our reservation and were seated. When our server arrived, we ordered drinks - wine for me and she actually questioned my choice which was odd. I knew the wine but I guess she thought I didn't. When we ordered our appetizers, she insisted we order our entrees at the same time because she would better be able to decide when the order should go in. We had asked she give us some time between the apps and the entrees. Shortly after we finished our appetizers, she came to our table and said she would now put in for the entrees. Literally as she walked away, 2 servers brought over our entrees. The food was ok but not great. We left soon after finishing and would never go back or recommend. All in all, it was one of the oddest restaurant experiences we've ever had and I would consider the server borderline rude. 11/8/2022

    As always Goose & Gander delivers… I requested to sit downstairs in the bar and they accommodated me. A truly special restaurant in Saint Helena in the Napa Valley.

    Food was amazing but will put a dent in your wallet. Great place for special occasions. Food service/quality was excellent , but greeting hostess needs to be more observant, friendly and welcoming 😕 We stood around before she even acknowledged us which was irritating but won’t stop us from returning.

    From the moment we walked in, the staff were very friendly. I appreciate that we were checked in for our reservation very quickly. Once we were seated, the server was attentive and quickly got us drinks. When our entrees came out, the food had a good presentation and the food was perfectly cooked. Overall, it was a good experience.

    Phenomenal wine and beverage list. Food was fantastic. We had the fried olive and pistachios as an appetizer, chicken breast and ribeye steak for main course, and the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Love the atmosphere, and the service was spot on. We’ll be back.

    Easily the best burger I have ever had in my life. The Cauliflower steak app was insanely delicious. Awesome ambiance, lovely bartenders and staff and killer atmosphere. I live on the East Coast and I am dreaming of the next time I am in Cali so I can go back!

    We were traveling and heard remarkable things about Goose and Gander. We decided to try it and it definitely did not disappoint. Everything from the service, to the drinks and the food were phenomenal. I would absolutely recommend everyone go here for an amazing experience.

    This was such a nice experience. We were on our way home and found Goose and Gander by randomly searching for restaurants. Everything was better than you could expect. Quite amazing actually. The service made you feel like you were visiting friends. The ambience was very pleasant and comfortable. And the food was extraordinary. Thank you!

    First time here and what an enjoyable evening. Our server had a great personality, and we learned that most of the staff has a long tenure, which speaks about the owners in an industry that experiences chronic turnover. And the food was great too! Will definitely return

    Such lovely ambience (we sat outside), with a wide range of cocktails available which was a nice alternative to all of the wine we had been consuming while staying in at. Helena! We would recommend and we would return! Food, like everywhere we dined in the area, was also fresh, interesting and delicious!
