We had tried to get into this restaurant on Sunday for lunch but the line went around the corner. We were glad to see that they do allow you to make a reservation for dinner on Open Table. So, we made a reservation for Friday evening. We were delayed in arriving because of traffic coming from downtown. We called twice to let them know and they graciously said no problem. Imagine our surprise when we finally arrived around 7:20PM to find the restaurant virtually empty. Rachel told us that most people just consider this restaurant to be a breakfast, brunch, and lunch place. It is something they are working hard to change. Our server was not as friendly as we would have liked – very little conversation.

We liked the idea that everything is made from scratch and sourced from local vendors. They serve up good old-fashioned, comfort food. I went with the Traditional Turkey Dinner ($19.50) and boy was it! They served me an enormous amount of roasted turkey, corn bread apple raisin stuffing, cranberry relish, mashed potatoes, sautéed kale and gravy. My husband had the special of the evening – Prime Rib ($29.00) served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. He ordered a glass of Chardonnay ($12.00) and a glass of Nero D’Avola ($10.00). Both entrees included a side salad with house vinaigrette. We both enjoyed our dinners.

It has been a few years since I last went to Good Enough To Eat, because I moved out of the neighborhood. And I'm so happy to say that it is still the same - friendly service, amazing comfort food, and homemade desserts. We ordered the chipotle shrimp pasta and chicken pot pie - rich, moist, hearty, well-seasoned, delicious! For dessert, it was a giant slice of carrot cake which you cannot skip! Amazing!

Better than 'Home Cooking" ! Nice atmosphere. Excellant service and reasonable prices.

We met for a friend’s birthday on a very cold Saturday night. Everyone wanted comfort food, so it was a great choice. Friendly staff. Relatively quiet, which I think can be attributed to the weather. Normally GETE has a line out the door for breakfast, but dinner is also very good but seems a little less hectic. Glad we chose to meet for dinner here.

Food was ok but not great. My kids didn’t like what they ordered and they did replace it but took prob half hour to do so and there were only a few other diners in the place. It was freezing cold and felt like there was no heat.

Pretty empty for a Friday night, but then it was very cold so might have been putting people off. Food tasty and a varied menu. Great to see wines by the glass for under $12!! Would go back just for that. We had dinner there but apparently brunch is their speciality!

This restaurant is extremely inconsistent. On three different days of the week, an egg dish called Migas can come out prepared three different ways. One of those three will be worth ordering again prepared the same way.

Busy night but it's always busy at GETE. Service was spotty, forgotten salads, wrong salad dressing, etc. Carrot cake was dry and tasteless. Chocolate chip cookie had 2-3 chips and many more nuts. Better place for breakfast and lunch. Won't have dinner here again.

A big fan for brunch but unfortunately dinner was not great. The service was all over the place, drinks were late, food came out in the wrong order, they were missing things on the menu but didn’t inform us in advance...did not have non-alcoholic beer that was on the menu (one in our group was pregnant), missing ingredients for menu items. All this and no offer was made to remedy the situation ie free round of drinks or dessert, anything really. Huge disappointment given that food was actually tasty but will most likely never go back for dinner.

Food was bland. Service was awful. Server did not speak or understand English well. She could not get our bar order right- vodka with water and a double scotch with a few rocks. Never got drink refills. Had bus boy get us water. Poor and slow service. Disappointing .

Fantastic meal! Had turkey club.... bacon was out of this world. Fresh turkey, delicious homemade bread. Came with macaroni salad which was also excellent. Biscuits w strawberry butter..... to die for! And finally.... the German choc cake.....amazing , not too sweet, really tasted home made....can't wait to go back.

The ambiance was quite nice, and the wait staff quite pleasant. The food, however, was OK, but not great. We had the gamut, from an omelette to steak. At the end, our young adult son said, "Well, the food was 'good enough to eat' but not much more."
