HORRIBLE customer service. The waiter charged us extra and when we spoke to a manager about the extra chargers, he immediately said "Well if you don't want to pay then we'll call the police" He didn't introduce himself, ask about the situation or anything before immediately threatening us. He acted insane and started sticking up his middle finger. There's many restaurants out there with way better food and service. Spare yourself and go to another restaurant!

The food was delicious , Ambiance was great , we celebrated my husband birthday , unfortunate the service was not great , i had to ask our waiter for dessert menu after he gave us the check and told us we have to leave . I had to be firm with him and tell him , we will like to order desert to celebrate my husband birthday , after 15min we got dessert with no candle and no birthday singing .

The servers and hostess were very kind. The jalapeños were great but the quesadilla was very salty. The frozen margaritas and the live band were awesome.

My night ended poorly due to an altercation with a party goer. This women attempted to take my seat at the bar from me. After I told her know she proceeded to push me upside my head. My friend told me to ignore her and we continued on with our evening.

Moments later my friend and I were dancing and she came up behind him and pushed him.

We called security over to confront her and they did not take in to consideration anything that we'd said. They sided with her and my friend and I decided to leave because we felt wronged.

We spent a considerable amount of money that night and looked forward to coming back again.

After the security's poor choice of siding with that woman will not return. It doesn't seem right to return to a place were you are not safe and people can get away with hitting you.

We went their for a girls night out and to learn how to dance some salsa but the crowd was very groupie and only danced among themselves. It was great with the exception of the singer of the Latin band he was horrible..the DJ was good.

The place was fine, the food was good but service from the waiter was not. They need to train them about having a better customer service staff because he seem like he didn't want to work. Brought the pitcher of sangria and didn't even serve it.

Went here with a group of 9 friends and had a great time. They have 3 price-fix options for larger groups, which include all you can drink for 2 hours, appetizers and main course. A fun, lively spot.

The food wasn't the main attraction. It was mediocre and the servings were too small for the prices. That being said, the drinks were AMAZING (blue lui) and the ambiance was superb. I would visit again.

Another great spot to hit this weekend. We had an early reservation and the service reflected that. There was never a moment my yummy Strawberry Margarita or water glass was empty and our food came out lightning fast (which was a blessing as we were starving). We started with the Flautas, the outside of which had a delicious, almost egg roll style flavor and texture. The chipotle aioli was fantastic too. I had the Chicken Enchiladas de Mole and I honestly would have licked the plate clean if I could have. Boyfriend had the Chicken Burrito which was both massive and totally satisfying. So happy we picked this place! Next time I'm in the city I'll aim to make it in for the live salsa music too.

We complaint about the sweet plantain being too hard and nothing was done. This place was chosen at the last minute. It was okay but not good enough for a great review. The chips were cold with the Guacamole. Table was too small for the large plates.

The noise level was quiet here because we arrived as it opened. It may be way noisier at full capacity since it looks like they also have live music, hence the stage.

We arrived at 12pm per our reservation and by 12:10pm, the front door was still locked. We had to call the restaurant to let them know that we were standing outside in the freezing cold. 10 minutes is a long time when it's freezing out.

Regardless of the wait, I really enjoyed the empanadas. The food overall is nothing to write home about, but it was tasty enough to finish. Everything was pretty good.

I probably would not return here just for the food as it is comparable to many other average Mexican restaurants. Also because I looked at the online menu hoping to order one thing and when we arrived, not only was there less options on the actual menu there, they did not have what I actually wanted.

This is a great spot for a large group of friends, an after work get together or a holiday party.

We wanted to eat Mexican and needed a restaurant that was convenient to get to from 6th Ave and 46th St. and 8th Ave. and 28th St. GyG is one block away from the Broadway Lafayette subway stop. We sat at a table but the place has a HUGE bar, a stage for entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays and very good frozen margaritas! Servers were very attentive and the food was flavorful, good size portion and arrived hot to the table. We will definitely return.

Deliciously authentic food and an amazing happy hour! We could have stayed all night. I took the waiter's suggested and ordered the enchiladas with the tomatillo sauce. They were fantastic! The servers magically found the balance between being attentive and overbearing. Any time you needed something, they appear! We highly recommend this place!

The food was disappointing, but the drinks were excellent and it was a fun atmosphere. It should be easy to raise the standard of the food as clients are not expecting 5 stars, just good fare. If they do this, the place would be really fun.

We went to Gonzalez y Gonzalez this past Saturday before going to Cafe Wha and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. It is very loud but the service is excellent and the food was great. Try the special Pechugas Compuestas. I was torn between that as it was something different that I haven't seen anywhere else and my usual chimichanga. So glad I chose this because it was great! Don't let the sound level scare you away - it's not terrible by any means and the food and the service definitely make up for it!

This is definately one of the best place in Soho to hangout, chill, eat and drink. I came here with three others friends on a Tuesday night, the hostess was really nice and we got seated right away. Happy hour deal is awsome there. $5 MargaritAs and they taste amazing. We ordered the carne ala Gonzalez and Appetizer platter both tasted really good. Salmon is definately a must try from this place . Its crispy from outside and juicy inside and it comes with avocado chutney and rosemary roasted potetoes which makes the Salomon taste even better. Drinks are good, food is dilicious, staffs are friendly, nice atmosphere to have a good time. Would definately come back here and recommend everyone to visit GYG.

Although I was disappointed the place was much smaller than the last time I went there, it was still a blast. There were 8 of us celebrating my birthday and the waiter was very attentive, always had our glasses filled with a smile on his face. The salmon and asparagus meal and the pechuga de pollo en en salsa were both amazing dishes. The mojitos and margaritas were also great.

The only negative part was we were forced to get up when the place went from restaurant to club atmosphere because they had to move out all the tables. It was ok though we had fun dancing to the very talented salsa band.
