Noodles were terrible, thick, and wet. Not enough options for my 2 vegan family members.
I have been following the Gondolier around Boulder for 40+ years and it has never failed to be excellent. I do miss the piano ...
Eaten here many times. Always dependable! We booked to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation. Although they were quite busy (the whole city of Boulder is!), they did good by us with excellent service and food!
We had a great Easter dinner at the Gondolier! Thanks!
Generally I like this place but this time I had to wait almost an hour for our food. The waitress never even asked us if we'd like refills on our drinks and wine. Very poor service.
We come here often because the food is consistently very good, the ambiance is casual, and we like to support local shops. We always order garlic knots, and I usually have salmon with sliced fennel and cherry tomatoes, or an arugula salad with added grilled shrimp - all are delicious. I had their cannoli (2) for dessert this time and they were perfect.
Gondolier staff were very accommodating in providing us an up front table, as requested. And their service was prompt, competent and amiable. The Chicken Picatta was especially good, likewise the egg plant parmigiana. also the rather spicy pasta dish with marinara sauce, the name of which I forget. The Friday evening bustle was handled adroitly, and the occasion was comfortable and pleasurable, as pleasant and satisfying as one hopes for a night out with friends.
Had a very nice dinner and Rick my waiter is a great guy! See you again soon!
A friend joined us last minute and was easily accommodated. Reservations were easy to make. The food was excellent and presented nicely. All staff professional and friendly. We've been coming to the Gondolier since forever and always glad when we return.
Casual local Italian restaurant. Friendly service. Good food.
Havent been there for a while, but just rediscovered it and was very pleased with the experience. The quality and value of the food was great. Thank you .
Had an eggplant Parmesan sandwich and minestrone soup. Both were excellent.
We come here regularly with friends and always have a nice meal. Our friends love the homemade pasta and I always order the arugula salad with grilled shrimp. We had delicious chocolate mousse, a special, this time. I recommend this restaurant as a casual place for very good but not knock-your-socks-off dining and for friendly service.
The rrestaurant is located in a shopping center, not particularly notable on the outside. However, the interior is welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Nice selection of wine. Friendly helpful wait staff.
Wonderful food and atmosphere! Can’t wait to go back.
Consistently great food, service, quality. Great variety. Always a crowd pleaser!
The Gondolier keeps succeeding in great food at a reasonable price. Nice, comfortable atmosphere, too.
Enjoyed their wine and beer, but their cocktails leave a lot to be desired - need a better bartender for mixed drinks
We enjoy this - family restaurant with a bit upscale menu. Fairly traditional fare with a bit of more creative items.
Had a nice Gorgonzola gnocchi with fried kale app - very good. The only thing they could do better is salads. They make a good pizza.
It’s a relaxed atmosphere- we take our son who has autism and can be a bit noisy and they are great and patient when we have him try to order for himself.
Always a great place for comfort food. Our family has been coming here for over 40 years. It is a must visit by our daughter whenever she is in Boulder. The late happy hour on Monday is a new favorite as we prefer the smaller portions.
Excellent. As always.
Chicken Parm, wonderful as usual.
Love the spaghetti with spicy marinara
We love the Gondolier. Have been eating there for 40 years!
Overall the food here is consistently very good. One of the 6 of us did not have a good dinner for some reason - but the others were quite good. Nice server - very pleasant experience.
In Boulder on business monthly and continue to try to find a decent Italian eatery. This is the 4th I’ve tried. Had darted in for a quick bite before and the minestrone soup and garlic knots were good so I thought I’d try dinner on this occasion. Ordered the clam with linguine and garlic wine sauce. The clams were still in shell. Not large enough to really be worth the work of harvesting the meat. The service was slow and lacked attention such as refilling a drinks. There is another Italian reataurant on Baseline closer to campus that has better entrees. However the appetizers at Gondolier and the soups are pretty decent. Just a bit pricy overall.
We ate their with our CU student during parents weekend. We didn't have many high expectations but were thrilled with the food.....so good!
I have eaten at the Gondolier for over 20 years. This last experience was the worst ever. The food took close to 45 minutes to come out and the manager was terribly rude about the delay. I had to coach her through her tone of voice in her final apology when we had to ask for her to came back to our table. I’ll think twice about going there again.
As always great friendly service, good food at a reasonable price, love the Toasted head chardonnay would be even better if it was on Happy Hour!!
Always a great spot. Been dining at the Gondolier for over 20 years. Love the spaghetti
Really enjoy the home cooked feel of the food and like that we can make a reservation!
Great food, friendly and attentive staff and a nice atmosphere.
Reliably good food and service. Very accommodating to special diets/food restrictions and large groups. Always a pleasure to eat at Gondolier.
I took my friend to the Gondolier for comfort food and distraction after the death of a close family member. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and can't avoid the strip mall ambiance. The wait staff was fine, though not super attentive. (To be fair: Given my friend's mourning status, we might have seemed like we should be left alone, leading to lowered attention from wait staff.) The food was exactly what he needed, and the homemade pasta was excellent. The meatball recipe they use is okay but not great. Next time, we might try the sausage instead. Overall, the experience was very good, and we'll definitely return.
Really nice dinner. Food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was not very crowded. The waiter provided great service, checked on us frequently without being intrusive. The food was good and I would eat there again but nothing particularly memorable.
Food was very good, wait staff was attentive and friendly but food preparation took a bit long.
I've been to the Gondolier a few times and enjoyed the food. However, this time I had Fetucine Al Fredo with chicken and the pasta was heavy and there was no salad or vegetables served with it. Very basic, but expensive. Also, we were initially placed next to a family with a screaming child, which didn't work for us.
This is our nice neighborhood restaurant in local shopping center. It is a shame they don't take advantage of potential for outdoor seating. Food id good with good sized portions.
