Golf's Steak House & Seafood
Food and Service was Great, Cost was reasonable. Enjoyed our whole visit and will return in the future.
We really love the relaxed feeling at the Golf. The brunch is amazing. Absolutely love the beef ribs, the prime rib, the lasagne, and the salad and dessert bar. The creme brulet is delicious, and my husband loves the cherry cheesecake and pecan pie. Would definitely recommend their brunch.
We much prefer their dinner menu than their brunch. We have been there several times for dinner and enjoyed it much more than the brunch. For the price of the brunch, the food was not any special. We have had better elsewhere at a lesser price.
My wife and I have eaten here in the past and had a great time. My wife had the steak and asked for medium rare and when our meal came it was over cooked. She sent it back and with in 3 minutes she had another one, it was tough and the outside was over cooked. They offered to take it back again. They did gave us coffee and dessert.
Food and service was outstanding. Thank you for your assistance with my ailing parents as the access to your elevator was most appreciated. Would absolutely recommend the Golf and hope to be back soon😊
Comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Very friendly and amazing service especially throughout our incredible dishes of succulent lobster tails and mouth watering schnitzel. Salad bar was Golf's usual top of the class best. Never disappointed with service, food and ambiance. Perfect dining establishment for worthwhile outstanding dining.
It was my friend's B-day and we enjoyed our dinner very much!
Excellent service and great food. Asked for the atrium and was given a choice of 2 tables. Love the salad bar. Have been going to Golfs for a number of years and have always been happy with everything.
I was there this day with my dad to celebrate my birthday which was earlier in the month . I could not decide between the stuffed sole or chicken cordon blue the manager said both good choices and said go for the chicken so I did was very good as well as the escargot and the salad bar. Even though my birthday was passed the waitress Alex brought me a very big piece of cherry cheesecake and two forks so we could share. The cheesecake was amazing and hit the spot thank you for that. We sat in the room that looked over the water had a great time i for sure can say I will be back keep up the great work thanks for everything
Good steaks and seafood, place is nice but we were seated in a closed off section and it felt a little tight.
My wife’s surf and turf was awesome and the loaded potatoes were delicious. I normally go for a steak but tried the chicken and ribs. The chicken butterflied was small, over cooked and the ribs were very little on flavor and little meat. My potato was the best thing outside of the shrimp cocktail. I will never get that dish again. Very load in the area and we were placed in a high traffic area. Overall disappointed for a Mother’s Day treat. She however enjoyed the food
I’ve always loved Golf’s! They never disappoint! Mimosas are a tad bit expensive.....$28 for two!?
in the past 2 1/2 years the price of the prime rib , extra cut , has increased by about 6 dollars a meal. The size of the meat has decreased to the point where I can’t tell the difference between the current normal cut size and the extra cut portion. I got no reaction from the waitress when I point it out.
It used to be hugh pc of meat, have old photos to prove it and for the past two and half years has decreased constantly in size.
We drive 1.5 hrs ea way to the restaurant and have been going for around 25 years. Sorry but we have slowly been getting disappointed with every visit and used to enjoy the value per dollar.
If you increase the prices at least serve still the same sized portions.
Dinner out with friends was so fun! Food was excellent - prime rib so tender - halibut so tasty! Perfect start to an evening with friends!
The food, as always, was good. I really liked the fact that they allowed me to bring in my dealcoholized wine to have with my dinner and did not charge a corking fee
We enjoyed a relaxing evening meal in the pleasant atmosphere of the solarium overlooking the peaceful, flowing water of the river. From the first taste of our soup to the last bite of our fish dish (my wife had salmon and I had stuffed sole), we enjoyed a delicious dinner that truly made our evening special.
We hadn't been to the golf in over a year, and no major surprises. First time we were able to sit in the solarium and we truly enjoyed it.
As usual, our experience was lovely.
Consistently good food and service. Never disappointed.
Early Mother’s Day
We were at Golf's for a special birthday. We were given the separate room when you enter which was very nice to have. The food was excellent from salads to main course and a wide range of desserts.
The waitress was very pleasant but we were not asked for beverage order and had to find her to order coffee and then she didn't ask the whole table. The same thing happened when we wanted the bills, my daughter had to go looking for her.
I realize it is very busy on Sundays so this will not deter our return.
The Sunday brunch at Golf's is excellent with good value.
The food was delicious as usual! From the moment we entered the door until we left the staff was very polite and attentive. It was wonderful to see so many young people working
We been the Gulfs before and never had an issue. This time as soon as we sat down we were rushed. Our apps and soups came out as the same time, both were hot so I had to pick one to eat hot. Then our meal came out before we could finish those. The waitress waited with an entree plate in her hand since there was no room on the table, until we stopped eating our apps and she took them away. When my husband asked why the rush, she blamed the kitchen. My steak came bloody—it needed more time cooking, I ordered med rare. The waitress offered to comp dessert, which we hadn’t ordered or wanted.
Extremely disappointing, this was a special night for us. Getting and paying $177.00 for a bad meal, was upsetting and ruined the night.
We were served by Cameron. He was an excellent server!
I've been a fan of Golf's for about 38 years. Many family events have been had here as will many more. I'm a returning customer because of the professional service, wine selection, food selection and pricing, food quality and tradition this restaurant brings. We've celebrated birthdays, graduations, going away parties, mother's/father's days, and just dinners out with friends. I was there last weekend and I'll be there this weekend. Lots in life to celebrate here!
very disappointed in the prime roast dinner, asked for medium -received "medium rare". When pointed out my dinner was taken back and returned still in a "medium rare" state. Salad bar was good however - everything tasted fresh
The food was outstanding and a great value. Everything was homemade and authentic. There was a wide variety of options as well including vegetarian and lighter meals. There is something for everyone here.
The waitresses were exceptionally friendly and regularly checked on us, so we didn't have to wait too long for service. Everything was brought to us in a timely manner, and they asked the order in which we wanted to receive our appetizers, soups, etc.
It was very loud in this restaurant. We could hear someone's screaming baby throughout our meal, and the guests in front of us were very rude and loud. My elderly grandmother had complained about the noise a few times to me during the meal. The day we went was pretty busy (Saturday), so this may not be the case during the weekdays.
I like that they used live plants as opposed to fake ones, but what I didn't like was seeing a *live ant crawling along the wall*. Someone in our party also said the men's bathroom was not well kept, although I noticed the women's bathroom did not have this problem.
I would recommend Golf's Steakhouse. They serve you great, high quality meals at a decent price. While I had some issues with the atmosphere and noise level, the food and experience more than made up for this.
Golf's is our 'go-to' place for birthdays and other celebrations. Thanks again!
Food and service great as always. My grand children love going there.and especially if Amy is our server.
They have the best brunch in town. The food is great & there is LOTS of it!
Just very very average. Everything about this place is worn out and dated. Feels like the food is served on high school cafeteria plates and cutlery. Prime rib was cooked ok, no aus jus, no horseradish, just awful boiled carrots that tasted like they had been sitting on water for days. Watery onion soup, crappy garlic bread. My wife ordered potatoes and got the awful carrots but it took so long we gave up given we were hungry. I ordered (2)- 1/2 lb orders of King Crab to go with my prime rib and was lucky of both combined with over 1/2 lb total, cheap little hunks, and over cooked. Had a dessert, some kind of apple tort, arrived so cold and still partially frozen that I ate maybe 1/2. So $185 before tip for two dinners and a bottle of wine...far better places to go in town for that? Would also be happy to pay $250+ for better quality.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. My husband and I always have our date nights here as well as our little wedding. They are always so accommodating.
Nice meal comfortable room, but server or hostesses did not acknowledge anniversary which was included in our reservations.
Always have a wonderful dinner when we dine at Golf's. Has been a favourite for many years
The best steak I have had in a long while, cooked to perfection.
We enjoy coming to Golf's from Guelph occasionally.- usually on Monday nights. The food is excellent, the service friendly, and the view, if one has a window table it wonderful. All in all, it is a very welcoming place to have an evening meal.
We love going there and sitting in the attrium. People are great and love the food
We were seated in good time at a table in the "private dining room" entered through a sliding door in the foyer. We were the first diners to enter, followed about 5 minutes later by a boisterous party of six men probably in their mid-forties. A family of four soon came in after the six men. Although we were the first party into that room, we were the last to be served. Our orders were taken before the other parties in the room but we were the last to be served. The party of six men were about half-way through their meal before ours was served. Without a doubt, absolutely no doubt, our entrees had been sitting in the kitchen an appreciable time before being brought to our table. The result of this unacceptable delay is that every entree was cold., the fish on the Stuffed Sole, the rice with the Sole had been under a heat lamp for too long and was thus hard and brittle. The gravies served with the Stuffed Sole and Chicken Cordon Bleu had congealed. The steak on the Prime Rib was cold - in fact every single item on every entree was cold. My grandson who had the Surf & Turf tells me the Lobster was "not quite right" but could not elaborate any further. The entire meal for all in my party was most disappointing. Unquestionably, something was wrong in your kitchen/waiter service that night and it is unfortunate that we were the party to be on the receiving end of that problem. In hindsight, I should have spoken up that night about the quality of the meal but I am not one who likes to make a fuss. Individually, each member of my party have previously dined at your establishment, with little or no complaint about the quality of the food or the service . Regards. John Cartledge.
the food never dissapoints !!! enjoy my experience every time
I am a vegetarian and am so glad you have vegetarian options. One reason why we go there. Please don’t ever stop that.
I love the ambiance of the restaurant. It is so nice there are no televisions. The service was excellent and so was our dinner!
