Great food and atmosphere! Excellent for any occasion.
Good food with fair prices...
I had not been to Golfs in many years but decided to go for their Sunday brunch. The price was reasonable and the last time I had gone the place was feeling worn and needed a facelift. It does look better visually and the staff was very attentive . My biggest beef was how crowded it was. The line to get to the buffet was at least 20-25 people deep and you were just standing on top of people and trying to move out of people's way who were trying to get back to their seats with full plates. It felt like they overbooked and didn't care about the customers experience. I didn't want to fight the line to go back up once I got my food. I just wanted to eat and couldn't wait to get out. It's too bad because if they limited the amount of seating it would have ended in a different dining experience. I'd rather pay more and go to the Cambridge Mill where I'm not run over by so many people and have controlled seating. But the more people they cram in the more $$. I get it. But I won't be going back.
This is a very elegant restaurant . We went for a early date night and had a seat by the window with a beautiful view of the Grand river . We had the surf and turf and Alaskan crab legs . It was delicious along with the calamari rings . There is a salad bar that had something for everyone . My husband and I were pleased with the service and food .
We will definitely visit again .
This is my favorite restaurant in the KW area. Great menu choices and all meals come with the salad bar which is exceptional! The meals always arrive hot and always right after we have finished eating from the salad bar. The portions are always large too, so we usually don't have room for dessert, but when we do, it too is delicious!!
Great place to dine, great food, great value, only place to go for prime rib! Service is always friendly , have been eating here for years!
Only disappointment was the temperature of the meat portions of our meal (steak and ribs). They were lukewarm.
Prime rib was fantastic though perhaps a little overdone. The medium rare was more medium, and the rare more medium rare. Prices are excellent, and the food good quality.
The food was good as usual but two of our steaks were over done. The waitress was not friendly like the normal staff we always get
Great as always, service was a little slow but managed
Great food, great service , reasonable priced. Love the salad bar.
This was our first visit to Golfs Steak House for the Sunday Brunch. The food was excellent and a great variety . I would recommend for Brunch or Dinner. Excellent!
We were seated immediately upon our arrival and taken to our table. Our server came right away. We got all our meals at the same time and everything was hot and delicious. Our water was always kept topped up and the service was excellent. We have been going to Golf's for years now and have never been disappointed. Thank you.
While we had a window view it was sort of crammed in with one chair facing the window and the other facing down the aisle. Servers passing behind all the time. Still though the prime rib was up to usual standars.
We took friends here for dinner on a Monday early evening. All our meals were excellent. Also enjoyed the selection at the salad bar. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. An enjoyable evening for us all.
Everything was ok except for a very noisy group of people that came in after us. My parents had hearing aids in their ears and the loudness of that group hurt their ear drums a lot. They will not be going back any time soon. Also it was my father's 76th birthday celebration. There was lots of seating available throughout the establishment as well. But nope -right beside us. Also with the food prices up as so the wages, I wasn't too sure about leaving a tip behind. But I did.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Love this restaurant.
Great experience! Nice view of water and great staff!
My wife and I visit Golfs a few times a year and have NEVER left disappointed. We love it.
The Sunday brunch is always great and service very good.
We had never eaten there before and were happily surprised by the amount of food you get for the price. Will definitely be going back again
Great restaurant and nice view if you sit in the atrium. It was quite noisy this time because we were sitting near 2 large groups.
The service and the food was excellent. Our waiter, Alex, was great!
the food as always was delicious. However, there was such a long wait for the food to arrive, everyone, including my two grandchildren, were getting antsy. The waitress came to our table and explained that there was a party of 40 in the restaurant and thus the delay. Our reservation was for 5 o'clock and we left the restaurant at 7:30 pm.
Was a Birthday dinner, our waitress was wonderful and the room set aside for our party of 9 which included 3 children allowed them to move around without disturbing other patrons.
The food was good, however, prices were not in line with what Open Table posted on the website. Perhaps you should update. The pictures of the salad bar were not indicative of the offering.
All said everyone enjoyed themselves.
We always enjoy our visits to Gulf’s. This was for a dinner with friends but we regularly enjoy the Sunday brunch.
Very disappointed!! We have been going to Golfs for over 30 years and always enjoyed it and recommended it highly to friends and family. Not now! It used to be high quality food with a great ambiance (quiet, relaxing, great service). Now it is very noisy, tables appear closer together and the waitress appeared to be rushing us. The food was also below expectations. My lamb was almost "blue" when I had ordered it medium rare. I had to send it back. My husband's ribs were very dry and he did not enjoy them. He orders ribs everywhere so he is a pretty good judge. My daughter had the seafood platter. The lobster looked gorgeous but had absolutely no flavor and even tasted "odd". No seasoning on the lobster and very little seasoning on the scallops and shrimp. The waitress did not bring the butter for the lobster and when she did (after asking) it was just plain melted butter with no seasoning. My daughter's fiance had steak and he was underwhelmed saying he had much better food and ambiance at the Keg in Waterloo. This was a special occasion (daughter got engaged) and we were very disappointed with our evening at Golfs. It has changed a lot!
We had a very nice family gathering to celebrate my daughters birthday at Golf`s. The service was very good, the meals were good portions and the atmosphere was perfect for that type of gathering. I would recommend this restaurant for casual dinning where you are able to have a good conversation without feeling that you are disturbing other patrons.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Golf's. The soup was delicious and the salad bar fresh and varied. The main course, which was chicken, was hot and delicious. Our server was friendly, accommodating and efficient.
Interior is looking tired and a reno is long overdue.
Service was prompt. The food was lukewarm.
