Great as always. Fantastic group of people running an, “old school” restaurant/bar. A lot of history here that everyone should experience along with some incredible food. Short answer: Get yourself here!!
Service was lackluster, food way to overpriced
Did nothing for a special occasion
I had the bone in steak just needed some salt and pepper to bring out the flavor..
We had a reservation at 7:15 and arrived an hour early and sat in the bar. At 7:30 I went to the podium and asked about our res and he was surprised because he thought the hostess had already seated us. She had seated the couple that came in after us that was sitting at the bar. How can you seat a couple without asking them their name? Or she's so ditzy she could care less. Unacceptable! That's their fricking job to seat the correct people! They put us in a back room that was absolutely freezing compared to the rest of the restaurant After several people put on their coat and we asked for more heat. they finally warmed it up. They put us at a table with 4 chairs and the ambiance was totally different than the rest of the restaurant. A couple minutes later they sat a couple in a wonderful booth in the restaurant area. Bummer for us. The food was great except the Creme Brulee was weird. The crust was great but the pudding/flan consistency was something I've never had before. Terrible. They took the charge off our bill.
The prime rib and sauteed mushrooms were delicious. HUGE cut of prime!! The caesar salad that's prepared at the table was one of the best we've ever had!! I would return but not on a busy night, i.e. Valentine's Day.
This place is amazing. When we left the first night we made a reservation for another night the same week. Loved it! Thanks, Titus for recommending it
Authentic old time Vegas Steakhouse. Excellent food. Very attentive wait staff. Amazing Dinner!
Old Las Vegas steakhouse at its best, if you want to experience the best of the past this is the place.
Our favorite steakhouse in Vegas. The food is always delicious and love the atmosphere. Our favorite steakhouse in Hollywood is Musso and Frank's. This is Las Vegas version of "old Hollywood" fine dining establishment. If those walls could talk!
Best filet ever, great waiters, table side preparation of some dishes, great deserts. Favorite place to dine in Vegas.
The food was excellent our waiter and the wait staff were excellent!! Old school Vegas vibe.
Our dinner was excellent and the food preparation was perfect. My steak was awesome and my honey,s crab leg as were fantastic. The service was outstanding and the evening was way above average. I will always return!
I have not visited in perhaps four years. My favorite server, who had been there for years was gone which took away some of the experience for me. While their overall service was good, our server catered to a larger party next to us and we seemed to be waiting for him at every step.
Ask what the "market price" is for the petit filet and lobster tail before ordering; it was $120.00, and the filet by it'self is $51. $69.00 is WAY too much for that lobster tail! As much as I enjoy their ambiance, this was probably my last visit.
I brought clients for a dinner and everyone enjoyed the meal and overall experience. Will come back once again.
The Golden Steer is a hidden treasure in Vegas. So much history from Sinatra and his pals who use to hang out and eat there. The ambiance was very nice. The food excellent. The service was perfect.
It was good but not awsome. They made dessert and salad at the table so that was fun but service was not outstanding and for the price I expect great service.
This place is the STEAK HOUSE in Las Vegas, everything was fantastic. Our waiter Ali was perfect, and the food was great!
I would highly recommend visiting the Golden Steer when in Las Vegas. It is a true piece of the old Las Vegas with authentic memorabilia and booths where the stars actually sat. The steaks are pricey but excellent. The service was very good. When my first choice of table was unavailable, the restaurant called me to offer a comparable table.
It is a little off of the beaten path and doesn't look like much from the outside but the ambiance is terrific inside. The restaurant called us a cab when leaving and informed us when it had arrived
Great history, value, service, and ambiance as well!
Great as always. The staff is always on top of things. Scot’s tableside Caesar is the best in the business.
Golden Steer offers an old school Vegas steakhouse experience without the New World prices. It's not the best steak I've ever had, but at 25%-50% cheaper than the "best" Strip steakhouses the value is there that makes the drive to Sahara worth it to experience the classic steakhouse.
