   It was outstanding! We sat in the Dean Martin booth and it was lush. We had drinks at the bar before dinner. Everyone was friendly, a man liked my husband’s cologne - and a lady with a playboy bunny jacket caught my husband’s eye. He insists she was a retired bunny! Fun! We loved the Caesar Salad!!! My husband had the Prime rib and roasted veggies. Fantastic! I had the Petite Filet and it was phenomenal!!! A couple more cocktails and some anniversary cheesecake topped a perfect meal. Our waitress Lauren was lovely!

   This is now my favorite steakhouse in Vegas. Wow everything about it from quality of food to service to the old setting from history. Loved will be back as soon as I can even get a reservation.

   The Golden Steer was everything I’d heard about it, and we were thrilling to be there! The New York was perfect, and the lobster tail was amazing! The wait staff is awesome and we couldn’t have been more pleased.

    Second time in while visiting from Indianapolis, brought my stepdad on our trip this time. He was very impressed and we very pleased as before. When we come back to Vegas we'll be stopping in. ONE DISLIKE ...... It could stand to be a tad brighter inside.

    We have eaten at The Golden Steer many times however this visit was very mediocre. My Steak was tough. Cream spinach was watery. The sautéed mushrooms were swimming in a gravy and weren’t sautéed. My wife’s steak came out raw and took 10 minutes to come back cooked. Overall, there are many other steakhouses in Vegas that are much better. All are the same price as well. The highlight was the Old Fashioned Cocktail it was excellent.

    Absolutely awesome dining experience. It was very old school Vegas. We had the table side Caesar salad, seafood stuffed mushrooms, bone in ribeye that was sliced for us and cooked to perfection. Finished it off with a table side bananas foster to complete a great experience. We will be back.

    My husband and I came for dinner. I really wanted us to love this place but we both agreed once was enough. Cesar salad was okay but we definitely have had better. I got the 10oz prime rib it was good, not great. My husband got the dry aged bone-in ribeye and that was also good but not great. My husband noted it must not have been aged long as the flavor was not what you would have expected for dry aged meat, he’a a butcher and has been a private butcher in highend steakhouses so he knows his meats. Service was good but also a bit slow, lots of servers standing around We really wanted to love this spot but it’s just didn’t live up to the hype for us. It does have fantastic ambiance.

    Local in Vegas. Second visit. Exceptional service. Food was outstanding. The lobster tails are sweet as candy--we have never had better. Several staff wished us happy anniversary. This restaurant will remain a favorite for special occasion meals or when we want to spoil ourselves.

    Environment was fun however the food was bland. We ordered Steak and Lobster and were disappointed in both. The whipped potatoes were the best part of the meal. Many other better steak houses in Vegas for the price. Watched numerous TikTok’s/instagram videos on the place prior to going and was super disappointed when finally getting our meal. If you are looking for an overpriced bland dinner try it. I would suggest a drink at the bar to take in the experience but eat elsewhere.

    Great historical restaurant off the strip. We just felt the cost/value outweighed the total experience. Food was good but prices are actually more than you expect to pay on the strip. It’s a good 1 time only.

    As usual, outstanding dining experience. We visit LV 2x each and have been for at least the past 10 years and always have a dinner at the Steer. We have never had less than a 5 star experience. The food, cocktails, service and ambience are just excellent. Don't miss the Ceasers salad made tableside or any of the beef and lamb chop choices. If you are not into red meat, we can attest to the quality of the seafood and Italian selects--superb. Ron On behalf of himself and 4 buddies.

    Sadly, our experience fail to meet our expectations. We stated with the toasted ravioli and while they were certainly crispy, the sauce was bland. Next we had the Caesar salad, which is prepared table side. It was good, but had a little too much lemon and not quite enough anchovy. My wife had the 8 oz filet, which was both over cooked and over salted. I had the 12 oz filet, which was cooked well but likewise over salted. The baked potato, while large, was dry and unseasoned. We chose to skip dessert. The staff was friendly, but could have been more attentive. Overall w disappointed and agreed that we have enjoyed a better experience at other Vegas steakhouses. While we are glad to tried this iconic Vegas institution, we will not be returning.
