Year after year we come back, the staff, food, and drink is consistently the best. Staff is great and you never have to wait, they make great suggestions, and follow up to ensure they are meeting the mark. We make reservations three months out the make sure we always get the experience.
Food was beyond excellent as was the service. It is a real classic steakhouse. The Caesar salad was outstanding.
Everything was perfect! Great food and great service!!! Highly recommend!
Food was delicious! Very loud in there though, that was the only negative.
$49 prime rib was no better than what I've had elsewhere for half that price.
The best dining experience every single time. The 22 oz. Ribeye is so tender and juicy you can almost cut it with a fork. The staff is the best. Pure class.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving Dinner 2019 at this iconic Las Vegas restaurant. Food and service were top notch on this very busy holiday. We'll definitely be back!
When ordering a Jims cut prime rib the waiter should explain the cut before submitting the order. My Sons came out looking like a raw slab of meat. It was good and enjoyed but for some people it may be unappetizing. Over Thanksgiving meal was very delicious. Looked like a plate you’d make at home. Out filets were the best. Loved the ambiance and the Muhammad Ali table. We will be back.
For this price point, which we don’t mind, I would have expected warmer food temps, sharper steak knives, more attentive service, and drinks not taking 20 minutes to arrive. As Vegas residents, we have wanted to try GS for years. We had family in town and thought, why not? Now we know, why not. Go elsewhere unless you like the things I am whining about!
Steak was just okay. Creamed Spinach was super liquidy. Mushrooms were good. French Onion soup was excessively cheesy. Lobster was overdone. Rubbery. Best food of the night was the hand tossed Balsamic Vinaigrette. Cool, old timey Vegas vibe. I really wanted to like this place.
Great food, great service! A must do when in Las Vegas!
I had the tableside Caesar salad and the 24-ounce Ribeye and easily the best steak I've ever eaten. Definitely expensive but worth every penny, especially sitting where Dean Martin did. 👌
Waiters need to be put out to pasture. Couldn't hear and could hardly see. The food was mediocre and overpriced. Waited +30min to get our check, and another +30min to get our receipt.
It would be really nice if your dress code was enforced, as my wife and I adhered to it, but the booth beside us did not, with one of their group wearing a sleeveless shirt! It totally ruins the atmosphere of such a prestigious place like the Golden Steer and shows a total lack of respect.
Excelent service and superb food. Filet Mignon was espectacular. Cooked to my specs Md Rare. Wow! A comebacker.
Service was exceptional and food was delicious
Golden Steer is hands down the best steakhouse in Vegas. We love the service and old Vegas charm. The off-strip pricing is great too. It’s a must go place for us now every time we come to Vegas.
We have found our "go to" restaurant when we visit Las Vegas! From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like revered royalty. We had a choice of where we sat but since this was our first visit, we didn't know what to choose. We were seated in the Mario Andretti booth, it was very cozy and had a placard dedicating it to the famous driver.
Our server was very professional and you could tell he enjoyed his job. We ordered escargot and seafood stuffed mushroom caps for appetizers and both were absolutely delicious. We then had the Caesar's salad that was made tableside. It was the absolute best Caesar's salad I've ever had. Our filets were cooked to perfection and had wonderful flavor. We finished our evening with creme brulee and it was the perfect finishing touch. Everything about the night was better than expected. We will definitely be back!
Golden Steer is the best steakhouse in Vegas! My husband and I have come here on our anniversary for the past three years and it has been an excellent meal and experience each time. The cozy booths, Vegas history, and incredible food make it one of my favorite places to dine in Vegas.
This place is a must if you love steak. Best steak in town plus all the history that comes with this place is staggering. Order the bananas foster for desert, you won’t regret it!
Husband's birthday. One of his favorite places to eat.
Birthday was great
Good Italian food also. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcccxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Apps and Salad were great, steak was stringy and tough.
The food was fabulous and service was great! A bit pricey, but was worth it!
Loved the restaurant, good, service ! Definitely will come back
Amazing Anniversary dinner!!
Fun throwback steakhouse. Food was great.
Food was amazing, everything we had from the drinks starters main meal and dessert was beautiful. We didnt have to wait very long either. Friendly attentive staff, even ordered a taxi when we had finished. Will definitely return when back in Vegas
Great caesar salad and steak!! Definately will come back to this place.....
Great Steak, escargot and 2 x bakes potato!!!! Even got Frank's booth just by chance, very cool place!!!
Simply the finest saloon and steakhouse on the planet. This is a well run experience that has spanned decades to arrive at perfection.
Went here for my wife’s birthday as I wanted something special besides the normal steakhouses on the strip. This place did not disappoint. Apparently it hasn’t changed much since the old days, which is a good thing. We both had the filet’s and they were wonderful. You could cut them with a fork! The shrimp cocktail, wedge salad and desert were delicious as well. When we come back, this will be on my list!
I have eaten here on my last four trips to Las Vegas. It is absolutely the best food I’ve eaten in Vegas! The food is wonderful, the service is exceptional, the atmosphere is fun and the history is intriguing! Be sure and ask your server about the history!
A great historic restaurant in Vegas. I make sure to eat there every time I’m in town. The Caesar salad made at the table is superb only to be followed by a succulent steak cooked to your specifications. Go there as often as you can.
Wonderful experience. From service to the food everything was top notch. Definitely will return
This was our favorite dinner spot in Vegas. We have told everyone about it already!!
Great "throw back era" dining establishment for patrons that remember the older days of Sinatra, Martin, Davis Jr, Lawford, and Bishop. The friendly service and personalities of the wait staff mirrored ambience of the restaurant and its theme. Great place to dine with friends, food and drink!
