What a classic vibe. Def coming back
It is an amazing place for dinner or lunch
Monster steak on the 18 oz prime Rib closer to 30oz
Amazing food and amazing service. Caesar salad here is a MUST!
My wife and I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for many years, we just hadn’t done it. It was well worth going and we’ll go again soon.
Amazing food and service. Everything was top notch
Wonderful time celebrating parents 57th anniversary. Food was great! Service was great. It was very enjoyable. We never had to wait for anything and were never rushed to leave! All the staff was very pleasant!
Food and drink excellent as usual!
It doesn’t look ritzy on the outside but inside there was plenty of red leather and a great steakhouse vibe. The drinks were great, the service was awesome, and the food generally on point. The Caeser salad table side was one of the best I’ve ever had. The only downside form was the steak. I had a bone in ribeye. Great flavor but somewhat tough frankly. Is this worth knocking off a star. Probably not but since it’s a steakhouse they should have killer steak. The value was good overall and I would come back.
We celebrated a birthday and they gave us free cheesecake. It was very nice.
One of our favorite restaurants in the country — a staple dinner year to year. From the moment you walk in the restaurant the overall ambience is incredible. The food and service are unparalleled. We will continue to be back each time we are in Vegas!
Amazing steakhouse. Very classic Las Vegas feel to the restaurant. My favorite steakhouse to visit when I visit Las Vegas
My friends & I flew into Vegas with my husband to celebrate his special birthday. Our fiends first choice for dinner was the Golden Steer. We got the Marilyn Monroe table as requested and our waiter was nice. The meal started with delicious escargot and went downhill from there. The men got Ribeyes at our servers recommendation and the ladies had the fillets. Unfortunately the ribeyes were large & thin & very tough. They weren’t seared like you’d expect. Them the baked potato- the largest in Vegas, was burned and overcooked & hard inside- why did they serve it? The manger gave us lip service but our waiter Insisted on getting our guys new steaks and since the fillets were good had them fire two fillets. The fillets were delicious and the new baked potato was cooked correctly but it wasn’t the meal we had hoped for. They gave us dessert and we got the cherries Jubilee which was tasty. But when you fly to Vegas for the best steakhouse in Vegas this is not what you want to have happen you only turn 65 once and this dinner did not live up to expectations.
Part of my party arrived late, they had called and alerted hostess. Hostess said “when you get here we will see what we can do” very rude and rolling her eyes. We were 15 min late and were seated. At a table in the middle of the crowd because policy states “if you’re late you lose your booth and manners at this place.” All the booths were pretty much empty, a few were seated, but even as we left there were plenty of booths available. It made me never want to go back. I’m a local and have never been treated like this before.
Old school Vegas steakhouse with classic ambiance. Service was great and my steak (12 oz Filet) was as good as any I’ve ever had. My only complaint was the wine list which was devoid of reasonably priced options. Even the wines with very inexpensive retail pricing were jacked up to very unreasonable levels.
We had a dinner event in the private room. There were 12 of us. We had a fixed menu and it was incredible. Service was top notch.
Our 2nd time to GS. Was as fabulous as it was the first time. Great Service...ambiance....would definitely recommend
Read about this place on the internet and decided to give it a try. Service was acceptable. Food was certainly not more than that. Wine list very abbreviated. Table side Caesar presentation less than expected. Overall, not bad but didn’t live up to expectations. I’m sorry but I cannot recommend.
Old school steakhouse. Fun place, good food, really enjoyed the tableside food preparations.
Absolutely the best meal i have ever had. Everthing was cooked to perfection. The entire staff was wonderful
Here comes 2020!
We love the Golden Steer. It's our favorite restaurant in Las Vegas!
Always the best service and food. Highly recommend
Asked for a booth, hostess said it would be 15 minutes. We stayed at our table with wobbling chairs, while 3 booths sat empty through our entire meal. Better steaks at Herbs and Rye for half the price. The thrill is gone!
As usual the service was excellent. We did not find the prime rib to be as tender and as tasteful from past experience. I order a glass of wine and had them take it back as it was very raw to the taste. they did not charge me for the wine, nor did they offer a replacement.
New Years Eve Dinner
Best steakhouse I have been to ever. Much better than even Berns Steakhouse in Tampa (for those that haven’t been its a classic steakhouse google it). Our servers were great food was absolutely amazing and such a great old Vegas style atmosphere
I've recommending this place numerous times. It's a great alternative to the corporate steakhouses. Very old school feel and service. Well worth the drive.
This was one of the best steak dinners we've ever had. It's our 2nd time there and did not disappoint! We ordered 3 different types of steaks and they were all tender enough to cut with a fork. The ambiance is 1950's steak house. It is an excellent choice when in Vegas!!
My favorite place to dine when in Vegas.
Food was AMAZING! The service as well! When in Vegas again I’ll would Definitely go again!
Went there to celebrate my mother in law's birthday for the first time. Let me just start off with saying it is hard to find parking and it looks like a dump from the outside. The hostess couldn't find my mother in laws reservations but thankfully I had made reservations too just in case for our party of four. We got a booth which I was excited about, however the booths seemed kinda small for four adults, not much elbow space. Our waiter was just okay. He seemed a little short and I felt I was being rushed. We ordered the cheese toast bread ( reasonably priced) got two orders but there was nothing special about the bread. Very tasteless. There was no melted cheese on it and it seemed a little dry and a little too crunchy. My husband is the biggest caeser salad fan and we both did not enjoy the salad. Lettuce was old, not crisp and fresh, nothing special about the dressing and there was not a lot on it too. I got the chicken parmesan because I have had too many filets this trip and wanted something different. Let me just say NASTY!! The chicken was so chewy and rough and it didn't even taste like parmesan. I actually told the manager it tasted more like chicken fried steak. I ate it because it took over an hour to get our food and I was so hungry. My husband wasn't thrilled about the filet. He said it was just okay. The creamed corn had too much sugar it was overly sweet and way too much cream, it was more like a soup! The twice baked potato.... Nope not good at all. It was burned on the bottom and not fluffy in the inside. I can make that better at home anyday!! We visit Vegas every 3 months and always try new dining and we will not be coming back. So far The Steakhouse inside Circus Circus is by far the best!!! I'm very disappointed in this place considering how amazing the reviews are.
The staff were excellent. The food was amazing. The sign at the door says proper dress attire required, it’s a place where wait staff wear tuxes. I’d go back in a heartbeat if my checkbook allowed.
This place is amazing!! I’ve been coming to Vegas since I was 21 and I can’t believe I’ve never been here. On a fluke, I was looking for a really good steak house. Golden Steer was the only one that got an overall 5 star rating. So good!! Some of the best steak I have ever had. We ordered the Oyster Rockefeller and the table side Caesar salad as an appetizer...amazing!! We then ordered the bone in Ribeye. It was so good. As I said this is a hidden gem. The decor reminds me of old Vegas. (I love going to Supper Clubs). Make sure to ask for a booth in the special request section. No guarantee, but the booths are awesome!!
Pre dinner drinks were excellent with generous pours. Table service Caesar salads were the best I’ve ever had. 12 oz filet Oscar was good, but I’ve had better. Wine by the glass was good, but not a generous pour for the price. Cherries Jubilee was excellent. Ambiance was excellent.
Steaks were super tender and cooked perfectly. French Onion Soup was phenomenal. Will visit again when in Vegas.
Great place to dine. Golden Steer is my favorite steakhouse in Las Vegas. The quality of the food is always outstanding and so is the service. I have never left there disappointed. I would highly recommend Golden Steer to anyone.
Great service, great food . Outstanding
Fantastic steaks. Great service. One of our favorites!
