Food was amazing. The steaks were nice and juicy. Lobster some of the best I've had. Service was as best as it could get. I would very much go back every time I visit Las Vegas.
Excellent, when you are in Vegas this is a must, would highly recommend!
Fabulous place to celebrate a birthday!
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Las Vegas...I go every time I’m in town....the service is exceptional.
Was ready to drop major money on wine and they didn’t even have the bottles in stock! I know things happen but it just set the whole night off wrong. Especially when the Silver Oak was horrible. Call ahead that they have the specialty item you want or ask them to have it ready.
It was by far one of the best steaks if had in Vegas worth the money spent.
The insiders' choice of premium service and quality food offering in Las Vegas, for anyone looking for a traditional urban steakhouse and bar.
Faithful to its traditional charmed roots in a special city, you need this restaurant more than it needs you.
All around fantastic evening. John was attentive but not hovering, very informative. The food was exceptional and plentiful. Could not have been more pleased with the choice.
Clint Eastwood’s table was fantastic. The food was too.
Food was fantastic. Bone in ribeye. Cesar salad. Great apps. Service was impeccable. No wait with reservation and staff treated us like family. Four thumbs up!!!
Great food and service. Old Las Vegas style restaurant. Very popular and noisy.
The bone-in Ribeye was a good steak but the rolls, creamed corn, and Ceasar salad were a miss. The cream corn had way too much nutmeg in so you really couldn't tell that you were eating corn. The rolls were too hard. The Ceasar salad was supposed to be prepared table side but the waiter just rolled out the cart with the prepared salad and mixed it.
Always solid food
Decor could use updating
Always love this place. The best. Food and service doesn’t get better!
Steak was done perfect, ambience was classic and great!
It's a personal favorite, we have attended many times, and always enjoy the food and the wine.
Great food great service
An old-time steakhouse that hasn’t changed in 50 years. The ambiance was”classic “ , but acceptable. What reality lacked was the food. Most of our items were okay, but just okay. Both of our steaks were good cuts not lacked seasoning. My steak had cooled waiting in the window and they used au jus to warm it. The sides (lyonnaise potatoes and creamed corn) were AWFUL and I mean AWFUL. Dessert (cheesecake) was small and the French onion soup was tired. Although the bill wasn’t horrible (around $250), the whole meal lacked any sense of value and quality of taste. How it ever got rated as “Best Steakhouse in Nevada “ by MSN is beyond my poor little brain. Don’t waste your time, too many other great options.
We loved it! The table service was phenomenal. The food was delicious! The hostesses were very welcoming.
So good! Absolutely worth it! Hidden gem! I will definitely make it a new tradition to hit this place when we come to Vegas again👍👍👍👍
Prime rib was just ok. Wine list limited and very expensive. Excellent service and great retro environment.
My wife and I have always wanted to eat here and the ribeye steak and prime rib did not dissapoint! Excellent food , great service and very nice restaurant. We will be back.
Overall very good but let down slightly but poor side dishes.
Birthday dinner, the steaks are amazing. Good wine
Awesome place ! A definite must do while in Vegas!
We’d been to the golden steer last year while in town and we’re wowed. We raved to all our friends about the incredible experience. We bragged about the dinner to friends. When the occasion came up to visit Las Vegas again this year with those friends we were thrilled. We made reservations promptly.
In fairness we added a person and extended our time by 15 minutes which they accommodated. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our Friday night dinner. The place was packed.
Everyone enjoyed their dinners but it failed to reach the level reached last year in quality and relaxed feeling. My steak was a little tough. Again in fairness it was a Friday and spring break but I was a bit disappointed. The prices here are pretty steep and it had been a bit of a sales job on my part to get everyone to give this a shot.
I’d return again but I think I’d do it on a Wednesday and not in spring break season.
Good as ever - food and drink - easy access -friendly staff
The filet was melt in your mouth tender
Staff was excellent
Creme brulee was smooth and light
Exceptional food and service. I’ve eaten here several times and it has always been a great dining experience.
Love it. We always go when Vegas. And we tell all our friends
Second time there in two days and in our life. This is the place to eat. Service is second to none. Food and drinks are awesome.
Love the old school vibe! Shorthorn steak was not good. Full of gristle, could barely eat half. Filet was much thicker than expected and also chewy. Would try something else next time if I go back.
Our experience was amazing. We will definitely come back on our future trips!
Totally old school, done right. First decent Caesar salad and Cherries Jubilee I’ve had in like 30 years.
We've been coming to Vegas for almost 30 years and never ate here. We corrected that tonight. We really should have eaten here a long time ago.
Everything we had was top shelf. Best meal I've had in 20 years. We liked it so well we changed our plans and we're going to eat there tomorrow night.
Service was great. Food was great. Fine print on menu about not splitting checks made for an awkward departure and cost the staff a good tip.
Amazing food, professional atmosphere. Very much worth the trip off the strip. Will be back for sure!
Great service and fantastic atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking out this place if you’re in Vegas.
