We went for dinner the other night and Golden Steer did not disappoint. Our first impression started at the bar when we ordered 2 dirty,dry vodka martinis . when we tasted them we knew this was the start to a great culinary experience . They were made perfectly . Our appetizers, steaks, and crab legs were so fantastic. The service was impeccable as was the overall look and feel of the whole place . Thanks to the Golden Steer for making an awesome night out even better. We will be back .

We decided to come here on the recommendation of my cousin. So glad we did! There were a few near misses with the food. As such, the value may not be the greatest. We loved the atmosphere and the decor...a real throwback, and in a good way. The restaurant and I were both established in 1958. I recommend;
The dirty martini...Bombay Sapphire and blue cheese stuffed olives
The table side prepared Caesar salad for two

Great as always. Fantastic group of people running an, “old school” restaurant/bar. A lot of history here that everyone should experience along with some incredible food. Short answer: Get yourself here!!

Hasn't changed since it opened - enjoyed the throw back decor with the amazing personal service. Went there 30 plus years ago when 17 years old, and still one of the best off-strip places.

We were in Vegas with a group of 8. The service was great. Moved quickly. Caesar salad made at the table was great. Good wine list Best steak I’ve ever had, juicy and done correctly. Would return!

Golden Steer is usually one of my favorite steak houses in Vegas, however my most recent visit was a bit disappointing. After telling the waiter of new comers he didn’t explain any of the history of the place and his general conversation was lacking. The steaks weren’t cooked properly. One was under cooked and the other 3 were over cooked. A few of the veggie sides we ordered were also cold. Knowing that not every establishment is at 100% every day I’m not going to write this place off yet. Just hope my next visit is as good as all my previous

Had dinner with friends and it was outstanding. I had a escargot, steak and some cocktails and it was all excellent! Service was great and the whole venue was old Vegas with great pictures and decor. Would recommend to anyone visiting Las Vegas!

We had a reservation at 7:15 and arrived an hour early and sat in the bar. At 7:30 I went to the podium and asked about our res and he was surprised because he thought the hostess had already seated us. She had seated the couple that came in after us that was sitting at the bar. How can you seat a couple without asking them their name? Or she's so ditzy she could care less. Unacceptable! That's their fricking job to seat the correct people! They put us in a back room that was absolutely freezing compared to the rest of the restaurant After several people put on their coat and we asked for more heat. they finally warmed it up. They put us at a table with 4 chairs and the ambiance was totally different than the rest of the restaurant. A couple minutes later they sat a couple in a wonderful booth in the restaurant area. Bummer for us. The food was great except the Creme Brulee was weird. The crust was great but the pudding/flan consistency was something I've never had before. Terrible. They took the charge off our bill.
The prime rib and sauteed mushrooms were delicious. HUGE cut of prime!! The caesar salad that's prepared at the table was one of the best we've ever had!! I would return but not on a busy night, i.e. Valentine's Day.
