Great place. Steak was awesome. Service was superb.
Greats food and service
Amazing food and service. Took friends for their first time and now they are now huge fans also
We really love eating here and always make it a pint to go when we visit Las Vegas!! Superb food, ambiance, wine list, and overall just a wonderful dining experience! The service is superb also!! Make sure you try the meatball appetizer!!
Love The Golden Steer
Great place. You can not argue with success. There is a reason this has been open since 1958. My porterhouse steak was not the most tender, it needed to be in house trimmed better. There was a rind of gristle on the New York side. But the taste of the meat was worth the price of admission as they say.
Wait staff and food were excellent. Only complaint we had was Joe DiMaggio booth was small for a party of 4. Table next to us was very loud and used foul language but staff did try to get them to settle down. Best steak and cedar salad I've had in a year, since the last time we were here!
Service was exceptional. Meal was everything we hoped it would be. Atmosphere was wonderful. This will always be on my list of places to go in Vegas
Fabulous meal at the Golden Steer, great service from all the waiting staff, the best steak I have ever had.
I am a local. Haven't ben here in at least 6-8 months. Dinner was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional. I will not wait so long to return. Thanks.
Wanted to go to a good steakhouse for daughters 21st birthday trip to Vegas. They didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious, service was great and even gave her a dessert with pyrotechnics. It was fun and would recommend to anyone looking for a little nostalgia and great food.
I was initially told about this restaurant by a local resident. Otherwise, I would never have known about. We are return customers from out of state and will continue to dine here any time we are in town. Truly a traditional American Steakhouse! Several wonderful choices for your particular taste. Waitstaff is very professional, while being friendly and personable. One would be hard pressed to find a better steak. Caesar salad is prepared at your table. Nice side dishes as well. It’s definitely worth venturing off The Strip.
Outstanding steak, and Cesar salad
This was our choice to celebrate 25 years together. The outside was a little deceiving but dining in New Orleans has taught us not to judge by looks. Wood paneling, rich red leather upholstery, tuxedoed waiters and white linens were a welcome surprise. Started with escargot, meatballs and the french onion soup. progressed to the aged Filet Oscar and Diamond L il cut Prime Rib with creamed spinach. Best french onion I can remember, the Filet melted in the mouth and the bone in Rib was so flavorful.
The service was impeccable. From the moment we were seated we never lacked for attention. The Maitre D, Waiter and Bus Staff were attentive to the smallest details.
When we mentioned our anniversary we were surprised with a flaming treat after the meal.
A very nice alternative to the casinos and trendy spots that pop up and disappear so often.
If it's a special occasion or just a desire to enjoy a fine dining experience the Golden Steer won't disappoint.
Year after year we come back, the staff, food, and drink is consistently the best. Staff is great and you never have to wait, they make great suggestions, and follow up to ensure they are meeting the mark. We make reservations three months out the make sure we always get the experience.
prime rib and cesar salad are so good =), but creamed spinach =(.
like its classic design =)
Food was beyond excellent as was the service. It is a real classic steakhouse. The Caesar salad was outstanding.
Everything was perfect! Great food and great service!!! Highly recommend!
Food was delicious! Very loud in there though, that was the only negative.
$49 prime rib was no better than what I've had elsewhere for half that price.
The best dining experience every single time. The 22 oz. Ribeye is so tender and juicy you can almost cut it with a fork. The staff is the best. Pure class.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving Dinner 2019 at this iconic Las Vegas restaurant. Food and service were top notch on this very busy holiday. We'll definitely be back!
Always good. Service is excellent. There are better steaks in town however.
When ordering a Jims cut prime rib the waiter should explain the cut before submitting the order. My Sons came out looking like a raw slab of meat. It was good and enjoyed but for some people it may be unappetizing. Over Thanksgiving meal was very delicious. Looked like a plate you’d make at home. Out filets were the best. Loved the ambiance and the Muhammad Ali table. We will be back.
For this price point, which we don’t mind, I would have expected warmer food temps, sharper steak knives, more attentive service, and drinks not taking 20 minutes to arrive. As Vegas residents, we have wanted to try GS for years. We had family in town and thought, why not? Now we know, why not. Go elsewhere unless you like the things I am whining about!
Steak was just okay. Creamed Spinach was super liquidy. Mushrooms were good. French Onion soup was excessively cheesy. Lobster was overdone. Rubbery. Best food of the night was the hand tossed Balsamic Vinaigrette. Cool, old timey Vegas vibe. I really wanted to like this place.
Great food, great service! A must do when in Las Vegas!
I had the tableside Caesar salad and the 24-ounce Ribeye and easily the best steak I've ever eaten. Definitely expensive but worth every penny, especially sitting where Dean Martin did. 👌
Waiters need to be put out to pasture. Couldn't hear and could hardly see. The food was mediocre and overpriced. Waited +30min to get our check, and another +30min to get our receipt.
It would be really nice if your dress code was enforced, as my wife and I adhered to it, but the booth beside us did not, with one of their group wearing a sleeveless shirt! It totally ruins the atmosphere of such a prestigious place like the Golden Steer and shows a total lack of respect.
Excelent service and superb food. Filet Mignon was espectacular. Cooked to my specs Md Rare. Wow! A comebacker.
Service was exceptional and food was delicious
Golden Steer is hands down the best steakhouse in Vegas. We love the service and old Vegas charm. The off-strip pricing is great too. It’s a must go place for us now every time we come to Vegas.
We have found our "go to" restaurant when we visit Las Vegas! From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like revered royalty. We had a choice of where we sat but since this was our first visit, we didn't know what to choose. We were seated in the Mario Andretti booth, it was very cozy and had a placard dedicating it to the famous driver.
Our server was very professional and you could tell he enjoyed his job. We ordered escargot and seafood stuffed mushroom caps for appetizers and both were absolutely delicious. We then had the Caesar's salad that was made tableside. It was the absolute best Caesar's salad I've ever had. Our filets were cooked to perfection and had wonderful flavor. We finished our evening with creme brulee and it was the perfect finishing touch. Everything about the night was better than expected. We will definitely be back!
Golden Steer is the best steakhouse in Vegas! My husband and I have come here on our anniversary for the past three years and it has been an excellent meal and experience each time. The cozy booths, Vegas history, and incredible food make it one of my favorite places to dine in Vegas.
This place is a must if you love steak. Best steak in town plus all the history that comes with this place is staggering. Order the bananas foster for desert, you won’t regret it!
Husband's birthday. One of his favorite places to eat.
Birthday was great
