A nice evening at the Golden Pheasant. They have their holiday decorations up, and a real fire in the fireplace. Oysters were excellent, cocktails top notch, as was the service.

As first time guests, we loved the restaurant, the food and the staff! It is a beautiful scenic location worth traveling to, quaint with class. The oysters were so fresh, the escargot tender and garlicky, the salads crisp and flavorful and the entrees superb. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the turkey dinner was delicious. But the Brussel sprouts could have been cooked a little more. The pumpkin cheesecake was divine and the lemon ginger ice cream was exquisite. Martinis were made just right and the service was first class! Overall, fantastic!!

We love this place. However the last couple of times our food has been served warm to cool not hot. I don't understand why this is an issue. We were disappointed this trip.

Good was underwhelming. I had the lamb shake which was way too dried out so would not suggest it. My wife had the halibut which was very good. The dessert was very nice.

My most recent visit was for the Sunday brunch. We brought relatives visiting from out of state and we all absolutely loved everything about the experience. The food was superb, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was extraordinary. My wife and I have been eating at The Golden Pheasant for 20 years and every time we go, we think it could not get any better. But, of course, it continues to raise the bar in fine dining standards. I highly recommend The Golden Pheasant for a wonderful dining experience.

Brittany never dissapoints. Everyone should be thankful that Golden Pheasant and the handful of restaurants that exist like this one have survived with the vision of their owners in B u cks County. I have faith these few will survive the times and the Golden Pheasant is my Wife's an my favorite. Always a delight.

Nice ambiance and good service but the food was not to my liking. Beets and dressing in arugula salad were sour, literally inedible. Butternut squash ravioli were cheese ravioli placed on a bed of the chopped squash which was too firm and the tomato sauce was too overpowering. Not what I thought it would be. Other guests enjoyed their meals.

The team at the Golden Pheasant has always been a pleasure to see and work with! We were married there last year and the family and their staff pulled out all of the stops to ensure we had a beautiful and memorable evening. As we return for anniversaries and special occasions, we love that we can enjoy amazing local, well sourced food that is well priced and delicious. Not to mention, it's great to see friendly faces that actually remember you! We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Golden Pheasant Inn! We are loyal patrons for years to come!

We've been to the Golden Pheasant 4 times this year, purposely timing it to catch the different seasons on the river. We've done the Sunday brunch menu once and dinner 3 times. We were always wowed by the class, caliber and freshness. The staff always goes out of their way to please. Its an hour drive for us, but we look forward to being back many times.

We were thoroughly impressed with the beauty of the dining room, with large windows to view the canal on one side and the river across the road on the other. The host and our server were very welcoming, hospitable and our server made great suggestions. The food was all delicious! I greatly enjoyed the crabcake appetizer and baby lamb chop entree and my husband loved the calamari appetizer and the Lancaster steak and smoked sausage entree. It was a 5th anniversary/few weeks before our 2nd baby is born chance to get away for a romantic date and it was everything we were hoping for and more!

Three of us went to Golden Pheasant Inn to celebrate my wife's birthday. The restaurant has a beautiful setting. We had a view of the river but the other side of the dining room was just as good as it faced the canal. Our waitress Maria was excellent, very attentive but not overdone. She described the menu in such a way that everything sound so appetizing! She did not steer us wrong with all of the farm fresh items on the menu. For appetizers we had the heirloom salad, mushroom soup and their age-old French onion soup. Everything tasted very fresh. We had the salmon, lollipop lamb chops and the steak for our entrees. All were delicious. The steak was huge and we ended up taking half of it home. Maria recommended the smashed potatoes and ultra fresh green beans. Try to leave room for dessert! We had the blueberry pie with ice cream. It was the best! I would highly recommend this restaurant! I plan to go again for a special occasion.

This is our second visit under new ownership and as expected we spent a very pleasant evening with friends, service, food and ambiance were 5 star. Appetizers were tastie and plentiful. Main dishes were cleverly plated and full of flavour and deserts a delight, especially the local ice cream. Everyone enjoyed themselves with comments "we must do this again soon"

We were alone in the Dining Room so it was divinely quiet. My partner and I were celebrating his 91st birthday and we were not disappointed in the beautiful food and the candlelit ambience. The dessert of his choice, blueberry pie, came, not only with the preordered candle, but complete with colorful "Happy Birthday" pastel writing on a very large white square plate. This was topped off with your special ice cream. Nothing could be better than that vanilla with chocolate chips, lemon rind and Grande Manier! Thank you for making a special evening so superb. Most sincerely, A.S.C.

We love The Golden Pheasant, we've been there maybe 12 times. The atmosphere is great, right on the river, we love eating on the front porch. One thing that is needed is a person more knowledgeable on the wines. We spent $125 on a French white, but couldn't get any information on it beforehand. If you can't have a sommelier someone there should be very well versed in the wine and wine culture.

Best spot in Bucks County PA. The overall curation of the space, atmosphere, food and bar is an absolute gem.
I would highly recommend the Golden Pheasant for dinner, brunch or overnight stay. Located directly on the historic canal and Delaware River.

What a great find in Bucks County!! The restaurant itself was beautiful, with windows all around and great views of the canal. The service was incredible, with everything carefully explained and suggestions made for the perfect meal. All produce is from local farmers and was precisely the reason why everything was so fresh tasting and delicious. We can't wait to go back again! A bit out of the way, but worth it!

We went for a Birthday dinner and sat outside. It was a beautiful evening and lovely sitting outside enjoying a drink and dinner. This was not our first time there so we knew the food would be outstanding as well and it was. We tried the signature wowcow ice cream and it was out of this world. The entire staff is great and professional and make you feel at home. A definite favorite and would highly recommend it.

It was our first time eating at Golden Pheasant Inn but it will definitely not be our last - the food, service and ambiance was wonderful. My wife and I came for a date night and I scored big brownie points for surprising her with a great choice. The grilled octopus and lump crabmeat started was awesome and the lamb shank was terrific! My wife had muscles which came with a side of the absolute best french fries ever! All in all it was a near perfect dining experience.
