My wife and I are in the Golden Pheasant Inn approximately once a month or so. It is consistnetly outstanding. One of our favorite places.
Beautifully decorated, delicious food, and great service!
Lovely place with excellent food. Service was nice but seemed very busy but probably because one of the busiest nights of the year. Would definitely go back again
Wonderful establishment! We always look forward to dinner there. The duck is excellent and the lamb shank falls off the bone
Great night. Food was great, service too.
Our usual place to go for Valentines Day. We always enjoy it.
Yulonda helped make our Valentine dinner a great memorable occasion!
Great place. We really enjoyed the food and the beautiful views.
The brunch was amazing and a great value.
The facility was impeccable. The views breathtaking. The service exceptional. And the food was delicious.
Great food, great service, nice view, warm fire. Overall great place
Beautiful yet cozy setting. The crab cake first course was one of the best I have ever had. Portions more than ample. Our server, Yolanda was terrific. Our first time there and certainly will not be our last.
Fantastic find off the beaten path! Brunch was delicious- the gran marnier French toast is a must!
We ate in the bar with options for the dinner or bar menus.
We’ve loved this place ever since it was first opened over 30 years ago. The renovations are beautiful and the restaurant retains its Buck County charm!
This place has become my new favorite. Nothing like enjoying delicious food next to a crackling fire. Beautiful surroundings... amazing food- just a wonderful experience. We will be back!
Wonderful atmosphere and great food for a special occasion. If you want to take someone special out for a wonderful meal, this is the place.
Lovely experience. Was seated by the fire. Food was excellent.
Have been here for Sunday brunch along the canal, with other couples for Saturday dinner & with family. It is a local gem & worth the drive. Wait staff is very attentive. Ambiance is wonderful whether you are by the fire on a cold night or outside along the canal on a warm day. Cocktails are interesting & the food is excellent!
We had an outstanding meal in a beautiful setting. It was a cold night and the fireplace was a welcoming site. Our waitress was so knowledgeable coupled with a great sense of humor
Food was cooked to perfection and creatively presented. The French onion soup was outstanding!
I would highly recommend!
unfortunately, on our first visit to this renowned establishment this past weekend the kitchen staff took high quality ingredients and overcooked or overdressed them. the bread was stale and fry, as was the tapenade. my salad did not have pickeled beeters- it had beets soaked in pure vinegar the honey-mustard dressing seemed to contain neither honey, nor oil.
my husband said of his dish “it was not it as described on the menu.” somehow the salmon came with a strongly vinegar-based sauce that only hinted at the promised curry. and the burned mushrooms and rubbery potatoes were an unwelcome accompaniment to the salmon, which truly deserved better.
my black bean burger arrived black all right but it was charred instead of cooked. i sent it back and it came back exactly the same way and this time the bun was hard and cold. the first batch of fries arrived greasy and too salty but were remade and the second batch was fine.
we were afraid of what they would send out for dessert so we gave up, paid our bill and vowed to never go back again after we were charged full price for what our server admitted was a “sad plate” of food sent out by the kitchen staff.
My husband and I went there for New Years Eve. The fixed menu had a great mix of meat and seafood. The flavors were creative and fresh. Our waiter was courteous and kind. The staff is always so nice and personable.
Our New Years Eve dinner was outstanding! We’ve been to this restaurant several times, and are never disappointed. The food is delicious and creative with many choices. Our server Kelly was very professional and friendly. We love the solarium with a cozy fireplace. We can’t wait to return!
I have been to the Golden Pheasant on several occasions and it never disappoints. It is a beautiful restaurant with a delicious, locally-sourced menu and a top notch wait staff .
We went to the Golden Pheasant for New Year's, and had another enjoyable occasion there. We both ordered the prix fixe menu, and, with exception of dessert, all of the options were outstanding. My wife ordered the creme brûlée and I had the chocolate mousse. Both were good, but not particularly impressive. The service, as usual, was top notch, and our waitress had a complete knowledge of all of the available dishes.
It is a beautiful place and the wait staff is lovely. We just weren’t thrilled with our meal for the price. The scallops were just ok and my lamb chops were alittle too rare plus the potatoes were alittle bland.
Food and service were fantastic. We were seated near the fireplace. It was a great overall experience.
Always makes out date night great. Can’t beet the service
This was our first time dining at the Golden Pheasant Inn but it won't be our last . The Sunday brunch was wonderful. The food was excellent and the ambiance was perfect. The fireplace was cozy on a cold, rainy day and the views were beautiful. What a gem.
Wonderful!!
Our favorite spot. Finally went for brunch and it was wonderful! Love, love love this place.
Always very good hence why we go in a regular basis!
The food and the service was amazing. The dinning room is well appointed and very quiet with a real fire place. I think this has become my new favorite place to go on a regular basis.
We met friends for dinner. We were seated immediately in the dining room with a large cozy fireplace. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and very inviting. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the atmosphere and catching up with our friends over our delicious meals.
Delicious meal, charming building, excellent service
Service and ambience outstanding. Food was not quite up to the level of that served at our past visits. Still, one of the most beautiful inns my wife and I have visited over our 54 years of marriage.
gh
This was our third Thanksgiving visit to The Golden Pheasant and we might just make it an annual tradition. The food and service were outstanding and our table near the fireplace in the main dining room was the perfect setting for a truly memorable and relaxing Thanksgiving dinner.
Thanksgiving dinner, perfect!
Got married here. Eat here at least a handful times a year. Never had anything that wasn’t beyond amazing! The service is second to none. That atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Five stars all around!!
One of the last lovely Pennsylvania country inn dining experiences! Beautiful ambiance, wonderful food, good service. Loved it!
Wonderful dinner to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. Lovely table for two in front of the fireplace. I enjoyed the PEI steamed mussels and the salmon for dinner. My husband had onion soup and gorgeous scallops. Cappuccino was our dessert, we had enough food. That was also delicious and hot!
