I'm never disappointed when I go to gnocchi. The food and staff are amazing. I will be returning again soon!!
I really like Gnocchi. Food's bold, tasty and copious. This time I had artichoke stems and hearts to start, then a perfectly slow-roasted lamb shank on a bed of arborio rice. The side of haricot verts were also done very nicely. It's BYO and the menu prices are moderate, especially considering the generous portions. Friendly service, no pretenses, just good food and a warm, comfortable place.
Gnocchi offers outstanding, handmade pasta and Italian dishes. Ambience was comfortable, service was attentive and friendly, and the food was phenomenal.
A great hidden BYOB right off South Street. The food was delicious with large portion sizes. A must for local foodies!
The homemade gnoochi never fails to dissappoint. I love this place!
Omg the food here is amazing! Not a single person in our party of six had any complaints. The service was excellent, and I’ll be back many times over. BYOB too!
Seriously get up and go. Now.
Great neighborhood BYOB...casual eclectic decor. Food and service were were outstanding. Handmade Lobster Ravioli was a stand out. The eggplant, artichoke and cheese layered appetizer was Delicious. Cant wait to return!
Best place to dine in town!
My coworkers came for dinner a couple of weeks ago and raved about how delicious the food was. My husband loves italian food, so naturally I had to take him and try it out for ourselves. Little did we know, we were in for a treat! Adil, our server, was incredible. We told him we first arrived at 1:30pm not knowing the restaurant opens at 4pm, so we had to wander around for a little bit. He inmediately brings us a starter on the house to make up for that. Such an amazing surprise! We then order the rest of our food; we had the salmon tartare, the spinach gnocchis and the ricotta and mascarpone gnocchis. Everything was incredible and the sizes were very generous, so much that we actually weren’t planning on getting dessert but then Adil surprised us again with tiramisu on the house just because it was our first time! Needless to say, it definitely won’t be our last!
PD: it is BYOB. Could this place be any more perfect?
Delicious home style Italian; bonus BYOB!
Our service was spot on...warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Portions were very generous although bread for a South Philly venue was a little disappointing. Would definitely visit again
Ate there Saturday night. Delicious food. Big portions. Go hungry! Server Adele was super friendly. Good guy. Give it a try!
Cozy dining experience. Worth going if you are in the area.
This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time! The gnocchi was awesome and the lamb was literally so tender it fell off the bone. The Chef's Table special is out of this world!! My friends and I will definitely be back!
One of the best restaurants i have been too..... The food was awesome ......our waiter was great ....... Everyone in there was so accomadating and friendly and so nice .......i would highly recommend this restaurant .... I will be coming back with my husband so he can experience how great the food is here. Bravo to the chef.
This is a neighborhood gem! The food is always delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. They always have a long list of specials, including ricotta gnocchi, which is my favorite. Last night we had the buratta salad and the pasta with peppers, onions and sausage. Everything was delicious as usual.
Always a wonderful experience! My favorite neighborhood gem!
Absolutely fantastic food and experience!
Menu choices are not extensive, however there are usually several very good appetizer and entree specials. This was our third visit and we will keep going back for the carefully prepared, delicious dishes. And, the restaurant is a byo, another plus.
Delicious food and amazing service . I can't wait to go back again
Amazing food every time I’m here. The service is great. It’s a wonderful BYOB
If you like simple delicious Italian go
Hands down, one of the best neighborhood restaurants in Philadelphia! There’s a great small-ish everyday menu, but there are also always a ton of awesome specials. Obviously, the gnocchi is stellar, but you can’t go wrong regardless of what you order. Everything is homemade, fresh and cooked with a ton of care. And everyone from the greeter to the server to the chef makes you feel super welcome. Come hungry, and bring great wine - we’ll worth the trip!
Fantastic restaurant. Wonderful service, delicious food. A local jem.
Absolutely fantastic spot for a first date. Thank you so much!!
A fantastic little local spot in Queen Village, Philly. The menu is small... until the waitress tells you about the 20+ specials they have at any given time. It's the kind of place where the chef makes what they want to make — and that's what makes it special. Along with homemade pastas so good my uncle swears they're a match for his Italian mother's. In his own words: "Ravioli so light it could just float right off the plate [if it wasn't held down by delicious sauce]."
The food here was amazing! We dine all over the Jersey/ PA area and the Italian food here was outstanding!
From the appetizers we had(Grilled Octopus, Truffle Burrata yum!) to our main course and the Tiramisu for dessert, everything presented perfectly.
Will definitely go back to this location.
Food was fine but unremarkable. Portions we’re unreasonably large. Decor was kitschy. Mostly empty despite it being a Saturday evening.
Their red sauce is excellent. The artichoke appetizer is delicious. The bruschetta is terrific. Always enjoy the food.
Get all round!
Well I’ll start by saying I am still sitting at the restaurant while writing this review as it took us almost two hours to be served our meals. We had a large party for my sisters graduation which was booked weeks ahead of time. We sat here for two hours watching every other table be served but ours. No extra need or appetizers offered while we waited. The servers seemed not to care about how long we were waiting. When we finally received the food, the gnocchi was hard and not pillowy at all. Food used to be much better here. It was also so loud that we had to scream across the table at each other. If your kitchen can not handle a large party then don’t accept a reservation for one. What was supposed to be a fun celebration turned into a miserable night. We will not be back which is quite sad for someone that lives three blocks away.
We waited an hour before we got our appetizer. No one seemed in charge. Food was very good, but wait was not. Not sure what’s going on. No sense of apologies. I guess when the owner isn’t running the house, things go wrong:/
We've been here twice so far and the homemade pastas are delicious. When we went with a large group (10 adults), the food was a bit slow coming out, but they were very kind and conscience about it and sent some complimentary appetizers. Overall, it was a great place to dine, perfect for a weekday night out.
Celebrated Mother’s Day a few days early with my mom. Even though it was a bit noisy due to two large groups, the service and food was unbelievably gracious and delicious. We will back again soon!
Love this place! Came back six days later for another family celebration!
Well I was really excited to go here because my friend loves gnocchi.Whenbwe got there there was a bit of heat wave in Philly and the air wasn’t on yet and the door was open.I thought being under the ceiling fan might help so we moved but the setting sun was blinding for about 20 minutes til the sun set behind a building (maybe put up a shade since this must happen every day right?).
We ordered grilled octopus appetizer that was great , one of the best I ever had !! The flounder francaise was really good as well but the gnocchi was so disappointing!! Very chewy and bland and the Brussel sprouts were skunky smelling and overcoooked. Not a good spring vegetable really more autumnal?
The wait staff was very good and attentive so overall experience was good. There were 2 large parties so the decibel level went way up when they were seated .
Awesome. Celebrated sons communion with a party of 13 - everyone was exceptional. Staff was kind and let us relax and made everyone feel welcomed. Food was outstanding
Everything was fabulous!
