Gnoccheria by Luzzo's
Delisuos Italian food and amazing staff. Highly recommend !!!
We ordered a meat/cheese board to start and it felt like it was made from a kids lunchables box: two meager pieces of cheese and a couple pieces of salami. The gnocchi was decent but a small portion. MUCH better food/portion sizes at 'Frank' on 2nd Ave.
LOVE this restaurant! 100% would recommend to anyone!!
This was a great place. Went on a double date and it was the perfect location for it. Great food great wine and great service.
If you love gnocchi, you'll be in heaven at Gnoccheria. I had the spring salad with strawberries and shrimp, the special gnocchi with scallops and tomato sauce, and the chocolate cake for dessert. Every dish was delicious - and it was probably the best gnocchi I've had in my entire life. The room is nice and cozy and the service was terrific. The prices were very reasonable. An awesome choice for any gnocchi lover in NYC.
THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Made a reservation for 8:00 and arrived on time. Waited in an EXTREMELY cramped restaurant for 45 mins after being told “out table was almost ready” multiple times. The hostess also pointed to table and told us we could have it once they finished clearing it and then gave it to someone else. After that she offered to seat us OUTSIDE in the 35 degree weather. People were eating with their coats on. They should not accept any walkins when they are booked and they should be more considerate of people who have made reservations. If I wanted to eat outside in 35 degrees at 8:45 pm I would have made the reservation accordingly.
Somos Sandro y Analia de Argentina y siempre que visitamos New York visitamos Gnoccheria by Luzzo’s !!! Es una parada imperdible para nosotros tanto por la excelencia de sus platos como por la calidez de Gino y todo su equipo!!! 😊😊😊
Staff was very accommodating when we were running late. Dinner was fantastic, however if you’re not a gnocchi fan, this place may not be for you.
Wine selection was wonderful. Food came out quick and was delicious.
Only a couple small things stood in the way of a truest amazing experience. Not sure if the staff was trying to give us time to talk, or were otherwise busy with other patrons, but the time between check ins were a little less frequent than we needed. And we had two small misses on the sauce - not enough meat...
Over all very pleasant experience and would go again without question. This place was on my list for about a year and it was great!
This was my second time eating here and I love it! The gnocchi is outstanding, and they have Tartufo! Great for a girls’ night out.
The menu is simple but the food is amazing! They do a great job here.
The food was incredible!!!
Small, romantic, quiet! Very attentive service. The gnocchi is OUTSTANDING. Only wine and beer, no liquor but a vast selection of Italian wines. I will definitely be dining at Gnocceria again.
The gnocchi here was the best I have ever had. I would highly recommend this to anyone who lives in New York.
Lovely service and charming restaurant.
LOVED IT. Food was amazing! Very nice wine selection. Cute, small dining. Would definitely go back for more!
So so so good. Awesome neighborhood restaurant. With so many choices in NYC, I would go back over and over. Am I gushing? The gnocchi was just absolutely delicious. The wine was perfect. The rustic look to restaurant was comfortable. Service was excellent.
Gnoccheria by Luzzo’s absolutely exceeded my expectations. I first came across the Gnoccheria a few years ago when I was planning a weekend trip to NYC. My favorite food is gnocchi so of course I had to try it. Unfortunately I never made it to the Gnoccheria but I didn’t forget about it. Fast forward to the present, and as I was planning another weekend trip to NYC I told myself I had to finally try it. I made reservations a few weeks in advance because there was no way I was going to NYC without going to the Gnoccheria. One week before I went I saw one of my friends post a picture on her Instagram story of her eating at the Gnoccheria making me even more excited. Let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed. My boyfriend and I ordered the sampler which comes with gnocchi prepared three different ways. The quattro formagi was to die for!!! The gnocchi themselves were delicious but that sauce was out of this world. I’ve never eaten something so delicious in my life. I will absolutely return to NYC just to go to the Gnoccheria.
The staff is pretty rude and pushes you out the door as quickly as they can. Hard to enjoy a meal here without feeling like you're being rushed.
Very good food and a nice relaxing ambiance.
Beautiful, Busy and Quaint "InstaFamous" spot for amazing homemade gnocchi.
I am giving this a 3 not because of the food but because of the hostess service. I had a reservation for 2 at 7:15. 1 of us checked in at 7:13 and the other came at 7:24. The first person was told to wait at the bar for the second before we could be seated. When the second person arrived we went up to the host to get our seat and she told us it would be a 30-40 minute wait because “we were a little late”. Luckily for them there were bar seats open and we could eat there otherwise I would have been extremely angry and probably would not have eaten there. Every restaurant especially in NYC gives a 15 min grace period, but even so, one of us was technically early! Then on top of it they did the exact same thing to a party of 8 that had a reservation because they were 10 mins late.
My advice to the restaurant is to stop giving away tables when you have reservations, and (as someone who’s worked in the industry) never tell the customer it’s their fault the table is gone - it’s basic customer service.
The food was good and the bartender was lovely and made our experience better.
Gnoccheria by Luzzo's was a special experience. I saw the famous three style gnocchi dish on instagram and went specifically to try that. We made a reservation for a Sunday night so it was quiet in the restaurant, but there were still a decent number of guests. We did not need the reservation though. The service was satisfactory. However, we did have to ask for bread (it did not just come otherwise) and it seemed to take a while for our main dish to come out. Otherwise, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed the intimate ambiance (dimly lit, romantic, intimate).
As for the food itself, we ordered the eggplant parm appetizer. This was nothing out of the ordinary, however it was expectedly delicious. The three style gnocchi was just as delicious as the pictures looked! The pesto was my favorite! Fresh and delicious. The la sorrentina style gnocchi was my second favorite - with a nice, light, sweet red sauce. And a close third was the 4 cheese gnocchi. All were delicious and a great balance of flavors.
Portions - my boyfriend (who eats A LOT) and I shared both the eggplant parm appetizer as well as the gnocchi. I thought it wouldn't be enough food, but it was enough for the two of us.
Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this unique, romantic place out! It's definitely worth the trip. Also, the prices were reasonable.
Food was very delicious. Burrata and Prosciutto phenomenal. The meatball app was not as good as expected. Gnocchi and sauces were delightful.
Food was incredible!! Hostesses were very rude unfortunately.
I arrived for my reservation on time but was told I had the option to be seated outside (it was 30 degrees and they had no heaters installed) or wait to be seated inside until a table opened up (what's the point of a reservation?) The hostess was rude and brusque, telling us the cold was "subjective" and to look outside for ourselves if there were heaters. The indoor space was tiny and VERY cramped, with hardly any space for servers or guests to move about without bumping into each other. Though the food was good and came out almost immediately, it was overall not worth the experience or hype.
Gnocchi was fabulous, but I was amazingly surprised at how great their cheesecake was!
I come here with the same group of friends all the time. The food is great. We are determined to try every combination of gnocchi & sauce :)
The food was delicious; however, the portions were tinier than expected
Loved this Place, the vodka gnocchi was amazing. I highly recommend.
the best gnocchi ive ever had and not too expensive. shared the trio and the vodka sauce special with friends and everything was amazing
They made my boyfriend’s birthday so special and such a surprise. Also highly recommend the burrata and prosciutto - our favorite dish! The staff was the most friendly and welcoming group of people - amazing experience!
This place was awesome! Food and service!
They did a ton of viral marketing making this place look amazing however when you went to the restaurant you questioned if they got furniture off of the street to make a restaurant. All of the chairs were old and had chunks of leather missing with warped tables to boot. Beyond this the waiter didn’t care to check up on us and we waited forever to get cheese on top of our food after they said be right back( this took ten minutes). Beyond this the food was good, but you can tell all of the gnocchi and sauces are made ahead of time and then they just mix them together- not a made to order meal. Overall ok food but not worth the hype
Server was more interested in smart phone than customers. Spinach salad was wilted with old spinach but I could not have that corrected as smart phone was more pressing than Customers.... gnocchi came out hot but flavour was meh..... I really cannot understand how this place has such a good rating. I would rate my visit as thoroughly disappointing....
Amazing gnocchi just the restaurant is very tiny and cramped tables are on top of each other you are basically sitting with the people next to you
Service keeps asking constantly if you need anything which can be slightly annoying when you're trying to have convo
But overall, great food and wine, servers are very nice. Restaurant is just too cramped and tiny
My friend and I had a great meal there and I really enjoyed the food! My one complaint is actually the chairs in the restaurant. I chose to sit in a cushion seat based on some back issues I have, but the cushions were quite embarrassingly peeling and in terrible shape, like something you’d see on the street in the garbage, but no one would take. Definitely need to replace those! But keep cushioned seats with backs, please!!! Food and service were excellent, only complaint there was they kept taking the wine list away, but we got it back. Would definitely go here again!
