Glyndon Grill Ratings and Reviews
As always the food was consistently good and the waitress let our small group catch up with one another. No rush! The bar filled up and a small group played. Found myself singing along in the dining room:) Great evening! Still wish the pot pie did not have that odd spice added...I love pot pies.
I’ve been to The Glyndon Grill many times lunching with friends and have never been disappointed. Their cocktails are wonderful, especially the handcrafted sangria. The servers are always friendly and knowledgeable. Especially delicious are the beef tip salad, spicy shrimp salad, and fish sandwich. The prices are a bit steep, but this is a great place for lunch with the girls.
GG is a 'go-to' restaurant for me and my friends. The menu is terrific and the food wonderful. A full bar offers terrific options. Service is professional and stellar. It's affordable enough to be a regular neighborhood stop, but luxurious enough for a nice date night occasion. Billy Joel's 'Brenda & Eddie' would approve.
Wife and I needed a nice place to have a Thanksgiving Dinner. After trying it out for lunch about a month ago, we decided to place a reservation for Thanksgiving. I was pleased with the service and the food. Nice bottle of white wine to go with it. The ambiance isn't overbearing, but equal or better than many restaurants in the area.
Thankful to have a nice restaurant like this that was even open on a Holiday.
The wait staff were friendly. The food was good and nice sized portions; I did have food which I took home. However, I thought it was much too expensive. The turkey platter was 35.00 per person. My spouse had a lemonade. Our bill was over $77.00. That was much too expensive for two people. We will not return.
We have visited Glyndon Grill many times and loved it. We recommended it to friends and took them there to dinner. Some aspects have changed. The fries are now frozen instead of hand cut (our waitress said it takes too much labor to make them). The meatballs were raw in the middle and very salty. And, the ice cream sandwich dessert is now changed without the cinnamon topping that is listed on the menu. I wrote the restaurant about these concerns and they never wrote back. The waitress did not seem to care about our concerns. Our friends were not impressed either. We are sad to see things have changed and the quality has declined.
The Glyndon Grill is one of my top five restaurants! I love their Kale Salad and the rest of the food is very good as well.
It is a nice place, not terribly fancy but pretty trendy.
I visit at least once a week, sometimes more often, and select the Glyndon Grill when we dine out with friends.
Glyndon Grill is one of those restaurant that provides light fare as well as entrees. I had ordered soup and sandwich that were very good while my husband had a complete entree and enjoyed it as well. Our service was very good that night, but sometimes depends on your server. Overall a comfortable place to go.
It was a lovely Thursday evening whence we enjoyed Burger Night. The location of our table was perfect for us in order to conduct an informal opera meeting. Although the service was a little spotty, we appreciated not being rushed. This is a neighborhood gem. Thanks!
I eat at the Glyndon Grill fairly often and am usually satisfied with my meal. I was very disappointed with my dinner on Saturdaynight. I ordered the fish special that came with a couple of shrimp. It was so over cooked that I had to cut the fish and the shrimp with a knife. I mentioned something to the server who offered to get me a new serving but, I was with 2 other people and I did not want them to wait for me while I got another dinner and finished after them. Who cuts what was supposed to be a white, flaky fish with a knife?
Always a great go-to location. Varied, tasty menu. Great deserts and drinks. Never been disappointed. This night our young server knew nothing about beer. It was cute, she didn't even know the term "domestic." That was worth a laugh, but she took good care of us. We enjoyed a fun evening. (Don't miss the Onion Strings, delicious with almost anything on the menu.)
Located in Glydon, a little cute town north of Baltimore in a strip shopping center, this a nice looking restaurant with a lot of pictures of the town in bygone eras. The restaurant has a good ambiance. The hostess and wait staff are friendly and professional but the food did not live up to what one would expect.
I had the "Glyndon Salad with strips of chicken". It was a tasty salad with a good amount of strips of chicken, tomatoes and feta cheese. My two friends had hamburgers, one a cheese burger. It was served with a nice mound of shoestring fries. The burgers were big and looked tasty but were not hot. At best they were lukewarm. The fries were cold. Told about the cold fries, the waitress apologized and brought a bowl of replacement fries. Unfortunately, they were just warm, not hot. I would say the kitchen was not at the top of their game. This is unfortunate since this cute restaurant could and should be much better.
