Service was wonderful. The food was great but not as amazing as I would have guessed based on the price. The menu options were standard for Glowbal. Not super interesting but had lots of options.
Had been to Glowbal for staff party in the Marilyn room and was looking forward to another evening there, with my girlfriends this time to celebrate a birthday. Horrible experience from the moment we walked in for our reservation. We arrived early (coming from White Rock) and was seated in the lounge for Happy Hour; our server (Luc) didn’t come by to take a drink order for almost 10 minutes, and wouldn’t even take an order for appetizers because our reservation was in 20 minutes. Plus they didn’t provide straws for our mojito or sangria drinks, something about them doing their part for the environment. We weren’t seated until 10 minutes after our actual reservation and that was because we mentioned to the hostess that we hadn’t been seated yet and our lounge server wasn’t acknowledging us. We were seated in the glass enclosed room beside the lounge beside glass windows/doors and it was quite drafty so before we even had our drink order taken, we asked our waiter (Zach) if we could move to one of the 3 tables away from the window/doors that were available, which they would not because they were apparently also reserved (I’ll add, they stayed vacant the entire time we were there). The waiter (Zach) was somewhat pleasant, but also seemed annoyed when we asked to put in our appetizer order right away and then look over the dinner menu; he made it like it was unheard of to do that. The meals were just okay, the salmon was requested ‘well done’ and it came out rare-medium, and the plate was quite bare with VERY little vegetables; two ordered satay dishes and one ordered a salad. The waiter (Zach) split the bill at then end (for shared appetizers & the bottle of wine) but did it completely wrong, he split all of them 4 ways when only 2 people ordered/shared them, yet he split the wine 3 ways. Then while paying, he hovered over our shoulders watching us enter the tip & PIN numbers; in addition he didn’t even thank any of us. Will NOT return to Glowbal again.
All three diners were extremely happy with their meals. Delicious and beautifully presented. Our birthday girl was given a complementary dessert with candle. Such a nice touch. Waiter friendly but unobtrusive. Great location - close to theatres and arenas. Highly recommend.
Everyone was amazing and the food was nothing short of amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a dynamic dining experience in Vancouver.
Had dinner there before a Hockey game. We let our server know that we had limited time.
Service was prompt and the food was timed well. Even had time for desert, the mud pie is amazing.
Great food and service for a business lunch. Thank you, I will be back!
Very average meal with slow service. Cactus Club is way better.
Delicious as always!
Was disappointed with our food this time. It wasn't what I expected..as I've had better and tastier food the last time I was there. The satays I expected to be in a stick and grilled but they were more like stewed and on a spoon ; my friend's steak sandwich he said was like a sliced roasted beef inside a sandwich...the taste we expected to savour was not there at all. But our servers are very nice and helpful. They gave us very good service. Will not be coming back for a while.
My brunch was ruined by a sausage that was undercooked to the point of being raw inside.
I found the experience disappointing bc eventhough we made a reservation, the table they gave us was by an entrance doorway to the bar where servers are constantly walking by and the chairs are actually sticking out, blocking the path. There were other empty tables inside where it was more private and cozy but they said it’s already reserved..However, Nobody came and used the other numerous empty tables inside (aka reserved ones) during our time at the restaurant..Also the table they gave us was right next to a party of 10 girls...who were all very very loud and very excited...we had to eat in silence bc we couldnt hear each other...over their loud shriekings and conversations...
Quite poor service, no quality check on the food. No water top ups. Food was average, cold very underwhelming fries. I was expecting better all around.
Overall, a good experience, but some in our party ordered salad and a main. The salads, came out following in 2-3 minutes by the main. Awkward with the size of plates, etc.
Good workday lunch, can't wait to come back for dinner
Arrived 30 minutes early for 8:00 reservation, sat in bar and didn't get seated until 8:20. Ordered fairly quickly, took an hour and 15 minutes for the kitchen to kick out 6 oysters. Mains arrived 30 minutes later, one side dish forgotten. Server comped the oysters, then the bill arrived. Oysters were comped but other mistakes on the bill. Spoke with the manager who did the right thing and offered gift cards to return and try again. Based on that I will try it again but definitely not a good 1st impression. Restaurant was also extremely loud.
Service was okay. Table was very tight fitting. Food was over salted and nothing to write home about. Love all the other GLobal restaurants. This one definitely on the lower side for food and service.
Our server was so friendly and cheerful. Ambiance was great. Food was excellent. Would recommend to anyone that wanted a romantic place to eat but still enjoyed people watching. Great location!
Ive been going to glowbal since the beginning. I used to love it but now I just like it. The difference is the service. Our server was good but it took awhile to get our orders and when we needed something we would have to grab someones attention. I get it when its busy but it was barely busy.
I ordered the smoked salmon waffle off the brunch menu. Very meagre portion of smoked salmon. Not worth $20 for what essentially amounted to some salad, potatoes and a waffle with a tiny bit of salmon buried underneath.
“In house sommelier” (lol) was condescending.
The 2 bottles we chose were not in stock, he recommended the cheap house wine, we did not oblige and chose another. And was not that great.
Customer service was lacking severely, food was mediocre, there were 4 of us for a business meal and were seated at a large table, by the front door a cold high traffic area. Reservations were made so this was not a last minute dinner.
In September I did a large event there for 47 in a private room, the service was terrible, the staff were not professional did not care, were not attentive. Thought I would give another chance-very disappointed-will never go back.
Seems like the management is not present, and does not care either. Customer service and product availability is so important along w details-big fail #Glowbal Glowbal
You can only order happy hour items if you sit at the lounge.
Great service and great selection of food, most of all it’s super clean👍🏻
We were at Glowbal to celebrate a birthday. Our waiter was David. He was truly amazing - I eat out 4 times a week at different restaurants and David service, courtesy and professionalism stand out - Wow! He made our visit very special and thanks to him we will be back!
Very nice place to have dinner whether dressed formal or casual. Ordered the Ahi Tuna which was good, the chips that came with it was a bit thin and crumbled easily. Also had the calamari which was a bit bland. Main course I ordered the USDA steak (cooked medium ) perfectly!! Our server was also great!! Would return again for happy hour or lunch
Restaurant was extremely busy so service was very slow. Our server also went home part way through due to some type of injury. The other server was pleasant but overbooked. The food is ok but for the price not particularly great value. Loud. Think it is a better brunch/lunch spot than a place for dinner.
Because everything was just okay, I didn’t want t waste words.
Wish they had specified when confirming my reservation that they only had the valentines menu on valentines.
Overall good experience just missed the regular menu.
Love glowbal. Nice place and good food
The valentines day menu was great, I got the butter poached lobster and it was absolutely fantastic. The calamari was very tender and the fruit fondue plate was very fresh and flavorful. We will return soon.
Extremely disappointed on Feb. 14th The restaurant decided to make the only menu available a special extremely expensive 3 course meal Valentines menu. They made the servers go to all the tables and remove the regular menu with this Valentines menu, which was very upsetting to our table and all the tables around us. I had called the restaurant earlier to discuss the Valentines menu and was advised that we would be able to order off of the regular menu, so after some going back and forth they resolved the issue by allowing us to order ala cart off of the Valentines menu. Regular customers do not like getting ripped off on Valentines day.
Went to Glowbal for dinner, service was quick, food was promptly delivered. Drinks were topped up at the perfect times as well, we had a very attentive waitress. Food here is phenomenal and I would highly recommend a visit.
Service was definitely excellent. Our server Kyra was great and went out of her way to make sure we were warm in the patio. However, food was mediocre. We visited Glowbal for happy hour. The batter for the calamari was falling apart and a bit soggy. The duck poutine was good and flavourful. The fried chicken bite was ridiculous for its pricing. $2 for a piece the size of my thumb fingernail, super dry as well. Drinks were ok. Maybe their regular dinner/lunch. But definitely not worth going for happy hour.
The food was great, service excellent and the view of the bar and prep area magnificant
We totally enjoyed our dinner...tasteful
Fun...atmosphere...patio eating in winter should be encouraged...cozy looking
Came wit adult children and significant others for Family day.
Will go again🤗

Went here on a Saturday night and got seated in the dining room that played zero music, whilst the rest of the restaurant on the other side had great music and ambience. The dinner took 3 hours for the food to be delivered, and the main course with the sides did not all come out at the same time. The waitress came every 30 minutes. Disappointed because we heard such great reviews
Our experience started off very poorly.
Our party of four was seated at marginal table for six. It was a busy vibrant noisy place. The large table made communication between 4 people very difficult.
When we asked to move we were told it was not possible, She explained we are totally full, just seated over 100 people. We offered to wait as long as we have to until a table for 4 became available. Again a refusal can’t do it.
After a regrettable emotional exchange and us pointing out an available 4 person table they finally agreed to move us.
We all calmed down and had an ok dinner. Will not go back even though the server was great!
An extremely upsetting evening
Very slow meal service borderline unacceptable.
Will not be returning.
Beautiful restaurant and lovely ambience. Food was a bit disappointing but okay. Server was okay but didn’t make eye contact & wasn’t friendly.
Unfortunately I can hardly comment on the food as I barely had any. We went there for dinner before the QE theatre, got there at 6pm and ordered. We got our appetizers, but by 7:40pm had not received our main courses and had to leave for the Theatre. We had no food but they were able to bring the wine which went straight to our heads with no food!! We had told the waitress when we got there that we were going to the theatre for 8pm. Extremely disappointing for us as we don't go out often and since we live on the North Shore, rarely go downtown to eat!! Needless to say we were not impressed as we were both very hungry still and uncomfortable at the theatre.
