This restaurant is very near and dear to my heart as it was the restaurant my husband and I had our first official date two years ago. We come back twice a year, and on our anniversary date from that first meeting. Great food, good value and beautiful atmosphere. This time around we were celebrating my husband's birthday with my family and now they love this restaurant too.
We throughly enjoyed our meal and our server, Shayna, was excellent.
food was great and service was excellent. server was well versed and super helpful.
Amazing food and fantastic service! One of my favourite spots
The special Easter brunch was labled “premium” and was anything but....a real disappointment and waste of money.
Great service like always. Scrambled eggs should not go on a buffet. My adult children both left them because they were cold and tasteless. The chicken dish (I think butter chicken) was in a clear gravy with leaves (possibly bay leafs). My younger son found it okay but not how he has had it in multiple Indian restaurants. The pasta had been sitting a while. My older son loved the omelettes and found the preparer a great asset to the restaurant. I would prefer to order food freshly made rather than coming for this buffet. I will continue to come for early dine, and meals on the patio when the weather gets nicer.
We were very disappointed. The food for Easter Brunch was meagre and lacked variety or quality. There was no cheese table, only cream cheese and mini bagels. A lot of fruit and an omllette station was not worth the almost $30 a person price tag. Coffee or juice were extra. I usually attend Glow in the evening and while the value is not what it was a few years ago, this daytime meal made me reconsider the venue entirely.
Great value and good food for the value (early bird dining) wonderful service from all the staffs too.
It was my sister's birthday.
My friend & I had lunch here on a Friday. I was surprised it wasn't too busy. Had not been here in several months. I was impressed that they had turned the music down. It was possible to have a conversation without shouting. Please Glow continue to keep the volume of the music down!
Service & food were very good. Coffee was delicious. This is my go to restaurant when I am in Don Mills.
The steak was horrible that was on the Cesar salad the lobster wasn’t shelled properly. Kept finding shells in food. Couldn’t even finish my meal and was still charged for the lobster Mac and cheese. Even though we spoke to the manager. Horrible restaurant. Won’t go back
They have steak, but not that good. I dont recommend it here. Portions are little small for what you pay. Service for us was awesome. So friendly and accommodating. Try the octopus appetizer. Unbelievable. Should be an entree. Creme brulee was great and the specialty coffees were perfect. Overall was nice evening.
We had a great Sunday brunch. Selections were good and delicious. Our server was amazing. Friendly, helpful and attentive.
Highly recommend this restaurant for Sunday brunch!
I have eaten here before...it was good 1st time. This last experience was not so good. Didnt have the wine i ordered...no big deal. But they wanted to start bringing food before the wine as 20 mins had passed...still no wine. Then brought wrong bottle second time around. Then brought my salad after my entree...all 4 entree orders had something incorrect( wrong side dish etc.. ).
Mgr did his best to correct with a desert.
Just expected a lot more from this place.
This was unfortunately not a positive experience. It took a half hour for our server to take our drink order.
I ordered the seafood risotto which is a $33 dish. It arrived and at first I told them they brought the wrong dish as there was no risotto. They said it was there And it was the right dish so I moved the numerous mussel shells and was able to find a very small amount at the bottom which was literally like soup. It looked awful. As I said there were numerous mussel shells, five of which were empty and I am convinced they were put there to hide the disaster that was underneath!
Separate to my meal, I was with a friend & her meal was brought over & was completely wrong. So hers was taken back &replaced. I tried mine and it tasted awful. Our waitress never returned to our table but I happen to see someone walking around who looked like he may be the manager so I asked him and he was so I explained my plates situation to him and he looked at it and the look on his face basically said it all thus he agreed with me that it didn't look right. So he asked me if I wanted another one and at this point I was turned off the plate and thought I would rather try something else. I chose the fresh herb gnocchi. So my friend has now basically finished her meal and now I am left waiting for mine to come. So it finally comes and I literally never complain about my food but this wasn't much better. It was soaking in cream sauce (menu says a "light cream sauce"), it has the equivalent of half a chicken breast and 11 pieces of gnocchi -I literally counted! There was the equivalent of 1 stalk of asparagus & a LOT of onion (shallot) chunks. It also had half sliced grapes. This is just a palate comment but to me the grapes & the rest of the ingredients do not gel. I couldn't even eat half of it due to the liquid sauce so $25 was also wasted. The Manager never returned to see how things were which I found poor. Server returned to ask for dessert order. Overall I would not return.
Birthday celebration with the girls.
Great food and service!
You do not mention on your menu when an item invoices pork.. It should always me mentioned as it's a religious item for many
Amazing Food, fantastic choices unlike other restaurants !!!!
Had the Asian Halibut, wife had the gnocchi !
Price point for everything
definitely wanna try their brunch
Had a fantastic meal - the restaurant improved incredibly since the first time I was at Glow right after it first opened - so glad I gave it another chance!
I like the food and location. I eat there at least once a month. The early dinner is great value. The Sunday brunch is also great.
Had the early dinner. Was very good value for what you got. Cant comment on regular menu
The food was excellent, the service very good. The one criticism is that the background noise level was high.
The food was terrible, however the manager covered the costs.
Overall experience was good however was very disappponted with the dessert selection..I expected a higher quality...the omelet station was excellent as well as the service. We will return to the restaurant but possibly not for the brunch.
The restaurant is very nice, clean and modern. Parking is easy as there is a free parking lot close by. In the summer, the patio would be quite nice as long as it is not too hot. The food is tasty and plentiful. I had the cobb salad minus a few items but was large and very satisfying. One criticism...they tried to give us coffee that was lukewarm....but our server was most apologetic and brought hot coffee to two of us diners. I recommend for lunch not sure about dinner.
Overall it was very good.
The service and staff are excellent.
Just really disappointed with my Steak.
$36 and it was maybe 4 onces. Not the best value.
As a regular customer, always a wonderful experience at Glow....the service, the food, a great spot for whatever the occasion.
Went for Valentine's day dinner, as everywhere else it was fairly busy, menu was changed last minute, upon booking we were expecting valentine's menu with pairings. Service was great checking in and providing updates with our meals as it was taking longer than expected. Grilled calamari starter was great. However we ordered steaks as recommended and came very rare instead of medium, they kindly offered to recook them but had dried them out. With restaurant being very busy we got hungry and ate what we had.
The food doesn't measure up to the ambience. The chicken and tuna were barely average.
Excellent brunch without having to drive downtown. Great ‘local’ location with the mall which extends the day after your meal at Glow.
We alerted the service staff to a severe food allergy, which the server advised the kitchen. However the ordered item came with the item in question. Even though the server and manager where apologetic, the overall experience wasn't great. At the end of the meal we were presented with the wrong bill.
I had the Lobster Mac n Cheese - it was luke warm and very bland. Not worth the price.
We have been to Glow on numerous occasions and enjoyed the food but this time we were extremely disappointed. There were a few large groups that requires quite a bit of attention from servers. Our food came it room temperature. We both had surf and turf. I couldn’t eat my meat it was exceptionally chewy. The lobster was over cooked on the outside and under cooked on the inside and lacked any kind of flavouring i taste. The potatoes tasted like they had been frozen and then thawed.
It was very disappointing especially since it is a place I recommend often to friends.
Haven't been here in a few years as their menu seemed only focused on health food. Pleasantly surprised to see a more varied menu with something for everyone. food was good as was service. we will go back.
Very good service. Love the early dine special but wish it would change more often.
We had a light and healthy dinner with friends, were well-taken care of, and thoroughly enjoyed our food and the ambiance
Service was wonderful. I was waiting for others in my party to arrive, the waitress brought me a coffee and brought water and lemon for the other guests in my party prior to their arrival.
Great spot for a Guy’s get together!
We were there on half price wine night, highly reccomended!
Great service as usual. Like that the restaurant will change menu items to meet the needs of vegan and glutenfree patrons. Would recommend the restaurant, especially due to the service (and summer patio)
