Glow Fresh Grill & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
The food at Sunday brunch was very low quality for the price. $30 per person. One would think that there would be a nice dessert station. Not. The turkey sausages were dry and lousy and the peak meal bacon looked and felt like cardboard. The scrambled eggs had a foreign spice in them. I couldn’t even eat them. That’s how bad they were. The waffles were hard as rocks.
This is my third time at the Sunday buffet. First two times the menu had a whole baked salmon with dill dressing that was absolutely delicious. That’s why I came back again.
I would not recommend the buffet this time.
I've come here before, usually for dinner, and the food is so great as well as their juices! It was my first time having their Sunday Brunch. The omelette station was very good; you put whatever toppings you want and they do the rest. The salad dressings were one of my favorite things they offered! The cold dishes were great but the rest of the food was just average (eg. scrambled eggs, sausages).
The staff are always friendly. Waiting to talk to the host was long though. Not sure if they should have had two hosts since the one had to talk to the customers, get the tables ready, hang jackets, bring them to the table, and as well as give the jackets back. She did this one by one instead of talking to all the people that came through the door so it took really long to tell her we already had reservations.
I would definitely recommend eating dinner there though, especially during the summer when their patio is open! It's less chaotic!
Food & service were very good & my friend & I enjoyed our meal. The only negative thing is the noise level is awful. My friend & I had to yell across the table to have a conversation. This is annoying and not very relaxing. Can you not do something about this?
Not the most dynamic food experience. I only return to this restaurant because a few friends in our group like it and the location is suitable for most of us. The food looks better than it actually is; presentation is lovely, but the flavours (when present) are very mild. Nothing stands out as memorable or "that-was-so-good-I-have-to-have-it-again". I also usually leave this restaurant hungry and for what we're paying, that's not good. (Even the desserts look good, but are boring to eat.)
Service was good. Lots of time waiting for our server to return to take our order, then to get our bills.
I’m vegan, and was hard pressed to find choices. Really think you guys should think about updating the menu to include more vegan choices. I asked to have glow salad made “bigger, by adding more veggies and avocado.. even Brussels sprouts from your other salad, but all I got was maybe a wee bit more avocado. Also, I like organic tea. Offer at least 1 type of organic tea!!!!!!
Great meal and service as always.
Only draw back this time there was a large group of 40 or more and the noise level was painful.
Thankfully we were almost finished our meal. But we did notice people coming in and turning right around and leaving because of the noise. It might be helpful if in future groups of this size use the private function room.
This won’t deter me from returning but I might be checking out the crowd for large noisy groups in the future before I get my table.
Excellent service from our waitress. Great early bird deal for dinner and it's this that brings us back often. My only complaint is the high level of noise, 2 people can't hear their own conversation.
Recommendation is to isolate groups from 2-seater diners. It was a real down to our experience
We have met with different friends and relatives at Glow several times and have enjoyed the food and ambience every time. On two occasions I took my 18 year old granddaughter and then the 15 year old. They both enjoyed our lunch visits. All three of us chose the "shooter" deserts and liked them very much - will have them again.
Had lunch with a friend. It’s her first time dining here and she really liked the food. We ordered the Glow Kale Cesar Salad and the Ahi Tuna Sandwich. We enjoyed both of them because the tasted really good and fresh. Although my friend lives all the way in Woodbridge, she said she will bring her husband here because the food is so good.
I have been to Glow many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Lunch or dinner, the menu is varied, healthy and the food is well prepared and tastes great. Service is always friendly and efficient. Love the early 3 course dinner menu when I've missed lunch - great value!
My husband and I invited some business colleagues there for dinner and our first impression was excellent. The lighting, decor and seating are all really attractive. (I did notice a torn leather seat on my way to the restroom though, which was surprising because everything else was in excellent condition. The restroom was attractively decorated as well.)
Our table enjoyed a variety of dishes; the grilled octopus, caprese salad, salmon, bouillabaisse and striploin steak. The octopus was perfectly cooked (not chewy as it is in some restaurants) and the vinaigrette had the perfect level of acidity. Our guests enjoyed the excellent quality of the tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella in their caprese salad. We enjoyed the slightly sweet glaze on the soba noodles that came with the salmon, and the fresh tomatoes were also rich in flavour. My husband reported that the bouillabaisse had more tomato than he had expected, but it was rich in flavour and very satisfying. We ordered biscotti because we were too full to get pie or any other of the delicious indulgences on the dessert menu. The biscotti was perfect for dunking in the coffee. (i.e. it didn't turn to mush!)
The service was excellent and we look forward to going there for dinner again soon.
I wanted to love this place but I was not impressed. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad and struggled to finish it, very bland and the presentation wasn't nice at all.
Joey's Ahi Tuna salad is 100% better, I wouldn't order this one from Glow even if you paid me.
The service wasn't the best, very forgetful and downright sloppy.
Too many other great places to eat in the area to even give Glow another chance.. Sorry.
