As you move towards the main dining room, the open kitchen sets the stage for classically prepared dishes incorporating local ingredients with a creative global palette. Our Chef uses the best quality fresh ingredients that are seasonally available.
Into the main dining room, you will be seated in spectacular dining space with vaulted ceilings. Knowledgeable wine aficionados and the uninitiated both thrive in the selection from our wine cellar including a dozen wines by the glass. Friendly, professional service will delight all of our diners.
Our private dining room on the second level offers a customized experience to please any group or function with seating capacity of over fifty.
Always a good meal. Brunch was great.
For the most part, the food was very good but the arugula salads were uninspired and my steak was overcooked and had a line of gristle through the centre. Everyone else's food was very good.
Amazing meal and lovely service. We informed them it was our anniversary and they gave us 2 glasses of champagne. Will definitely return and reccomend.
My dining partner enjoyed it.Liked the food and ambiance.Probably will dine in the future jr
Simply fantastic! We did the 5 course with wine pairing and it was perfect!
Arrived for brunch at 11 AM - no wait for a table. Food was very good, but brunch menu was pretty limited.
I’ve been here many times over 15+ years and it’s been a stand-out and stand-by for the quality of food and professional service for a nice meal out. A high-end, reliable place. My last visit was quite disappointing I’m sorry to say. I hope it was just a bad night. Food was mostly just okay. Everything seemed a bit bland (except the Mushroom Salad which is actually more like a soup). Service was not terribly attentive and a bit curt from the main server. The helpers had not been properly trained in how to serve or in attitude when serving. I really want to support Globe but how to ensure the next experience is going to be a good one without risking an expensive night out?
Service and food were great. I had requested a table on the main floor because of mobility issues and we got a fantastic booth with a round table that was perfect. The valentines menu was great. Our table had foie gras (loved it) Waldorf salad (good) for starters. For mains: Wellington county beef tenderloin was very good. The duck fat potatoes were a tiny bit dry but they were fine. The others at the table had coq au vin (good) and cod (also good). Dessert was chocolate mousse. It was fine. Two people had baked Alaska which was not on fire so disappointing. I guess it would be hard to light each one individually. It’s a weird choice to put on the menu. The cocktails were delicious. They even made tequila taste good. Kit royale was perfect. Valentine’s Day is HARD to do well but the globe pulled it off. It is also fantastic on a regular night.
On Valentine's day, ran out of the surf and turf at 7:30! Food good but smaller portions. Also, only saw the waiter when we ordered...didn't see him all night!
Good service and great ambience. A great place to meet up with friends and share a delicious meal. Really appreciated being able to linger over brunch. Food was delicious.
Always exceptional, from the location to the staff to the food. Thank you 😊 nice again to Adrian who helped us plan another fantastic event!
Had a wonderful dinner here on Friday to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent - Sichuan Serf and Turf, Duck, and Northern Elk Loin, followed by Pumpkin Creme Brûlée.
Service was good and I love the decor. It’s our go to neighbourhood place for special occasions!
Very accommodating for my companion with an allergy. Food excellent. Service friendly, courteous and efficient. Our table location enabled us to chat, laugh and not feel we were overheard. Smart casual, but cozy in an upbeat way. Fairly regular customer and never disappointed. Thank you.
excellent food and service. i would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The Winterlicious experience had one major drawback: the servings were tiny. Not worth the $43.
Otherwise, the food, ambiance and service were top notch. And the noise level was low.
We were very impressed with how accommodating and friendly the staff was. We arrived late due to traffic and were very rushed due to show tickets. They brought in our food so very quickly, yet the quality was not compromised. The combination of flavours in both the scallops dish and the harvest bowl were delicious.
I’d go back in a heartbeat and recommend it!
Had Winterlicious Lunch. Portion was tiny. My friend had the soup as starter and it was extremely salty.
Overall, I will not recommend paying $28 for lunch here. Better values elsewhere for sure.
Service and atmosphere was great.
Food and dessert tasted good.
Only feedback is that the food portions were small for the price.
Other than that, everything was fine.
Steak was delicious, cod might be just not hot enough. Enjoy the service and relaxing ambiance
The food and service was delightful. The temperature was cold inside, but other than that it was great
Flavour of the dishes were amazing. Atmosphere was great. Service was awesome. The only negative was not being offered anything to drink while waiting for our table. Would definitely go back...Great Food!
We have been to Globe so many times and we will always continue to visit them, everything is always top notch.
Great meal and service. Back dining room was very cold, had to switch tables. 1/2 price bottles of wine on Sundays with a solid list and a nice variety for a wine novice.
The food was amazing at Globe Bistro, we went for Winterlicious and the menu did not disappoint. Servers were very attentive and accomodating despite the restaurant being busy.
Came for Winterlicous! Loved the food, great menu! Will be back again just for a regular night out! Thanks for a great night!
Food and service was excellent but dining was cold! One of us had to keep her winter coat on throughout the meal.
The Globe has a dowdy frontage, with a dark interior difficult to discern through grimy plate glass - quite an off-putting initial impression. One was slightly relieved upon entering when prompt attention from the host was reassuring. The noise level in the first dining room led us to take a table in the second, vast area, where we were to begin with the only diners. This high ceilinged space was understandably chilly on the very cold day of our visit. We were, however, heartened by the bright and attentive service throughout the meal of our waitress, whose name , unfortunately, I do not recall.
The winterlicious lunch menu offered interestingly varied choices, the reason for our choosing this restaurant over several competing ones in the same area. We each made different selections from each of the three courses in order to be able to sample more of them. We both agreed that the confit of duck with a parsnip sauce was excellent and beautifully cooked. The medium-rare beef tenderloin, though, was disappointingly tough. The borscht made a good starter and for dessert the squash cake was satisfying yet not sweet, which was my reason for choosing it.
Overall we were very well pleased we had started the winterlicious season at this establishment.
I went for tasting menu with voucher I bought.
Food was good. Small portions to try. But we came at 5 and left at 8 hungry. It took toooo long between food. Also it was tasting menu so you expect some explanation, was not too much. So not sure if I would come again.
We experienced the tasting menu. The food staff and atmosphere were all delightful. It's perhaps not my cup of tea, but not a single negative thing I could say. I'm just cheap. More of a dive person. That being said, I would go here again on a date or special occasion to experience something different. My impression of this restaurant is that the chef is knowledge and creative. It reminded me of some of the cooking shows I've seen.
Love this restaurant -- consistently creative and delicious.
We did the chef tasting. Food was incredible. Tasting was the best word. It took over 2 hours for them to being out all the courses and we left starving. Would go back and order from the menu the food was fantastic but the chef tasting was over priced.
The food was fantastic. We loved the 6 course blind chef tasting menu. We would definitely go again and recommend it to friends.
Top end restaurant and good value with unique dining choices.
The ambience in the back room was down right depressing. It was cold, dark and vacant and was like going to cavernous outdated night club the morning after a long night. The chairs we were sitting on were ratty and worn. Looks like they must be very tight for cash as clearly the whole place needs to be refurbished.
Dinner @ Globe was excellent! Two in our party ordered a la carte, and two ordered the four course chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings — dinner was enjoyed by all!
Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. Great neighborhood restaurant and convenient to the subway.
Awful service. Not rude, just incompetent. Lunch took almost 2.5 hours. Asked to start with oysters, and they took over 40 minutes to arrive...and the rest of the day went like that. Had two bottle of wine, and waiter didn’t pour a single glass. Had to ask for bread, and got it an hour in. Ordered 4 steak frites, and it was two steaks divided into 2 portions. Food was good, but we waited so lone it was hard to enjoy as you were starving. Waiter was slow and socially awkward.
The food at globe never disappoints, the staff are very knowledgeable of the menu, the food is beautifully presented and it always provides a memorable experience. We were a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meals and the restaurant itself.
Girls night out!! We’re all great cooks so when I eat out I look out for interesting menus. It’s my third time there!! I’ll be back and so will my BFF’s
Service was excellent and a big thanks to Elsie ❤️
2nd visit. Delicious food, great service. Attentive to my request for gluten free options. Will definitely visit again.
