Glenwood Grill Ratings and Reviews
Delicious, authentic food! This is now one of my favorite places to eat, any night of the week. I wish the tables were not as close as they are, due to the size of the restaurant. I usually like a set distance from tables surrounding me, but I dealt with the personal space issue because the food was that spectacular...Five diamond rating from me!...Small, yet cozy restaurant! Usually I have a complaint whenever I dine out, but I have no complaints about the food or wait time at this place!
Glenwood Grill is one of the best restaurants in Raleigh. Ever single person I have brought here absolutely loves everything they have. The staff is very professional & knowledgeable. The food is fresh and changes seasonally. Absolutely amazing every single time.
My wife and I decided to avoid the typical New Year's Eve chaos buy having out NY Eve dinner a day early! As usual, Glenwood Grill was totally outstanding. I had the Carpet Bagger (two fillets & veggies) and my wife had the parmesan oysters. Both were great. Started off with a glass of French wine and ended with a shared dessert. If you live in the Triangle area, and haven't visited Glenwood Grill...you're missing something great!
We went for the New Year's Eve meal on Saturday (closed Sunday) and the service and food were very good. We started with the she crab soup and the clam chowder with cajun spice. We both preferred the clam chowder although the she crab soup was acceptable.
I had the Carpet Bagger two four ounce filets mignons, parsnip smashed potatoes, parmesan fried oysters, red wine veal reduction, béarnaise. I normally won't eat oysters but these were exceptional. My wife had the Seared Shetland Islands Salmon mushroom sweet pea Grana Padana risotto, shaved apple fennel salad, honey truffle vinaigrette. She liked it but was somewhat underwhelmed by the salmon but loved the risotto.
Ended our meal with the chocolate pie with was super rich and delicious and coffee which as a bit bitter. Overall we were very satisfied with our meal and excellent service.
Glenwood grill does not disappoint! We were a party of five celebrating our twin sons' birthday. Everyone in the group was very, very pleased with the food and service. We started coming to this restaurant by chance a number of years ago and it quickly became one of our favorites. Highy recommend!
Nice, warm place to eat on a cold winter's day. My husband and I both had Cobb salads - mine with shrimp, his with chicken. We both enjoyed the slightly lighter fare after all the holiday foods. Our friends also enjoyed what they ordered. Good service and an overall pleasant place to meet and eat.
We were greeted as we entered the restaurant and seated immediately. Our server was pleasant, most efficient and a joy to deal with. The menu was well written to entice all. The delivered food was well-presented and delicious. Our foursome decided that this is a place that we will return to soon and especially next year, as we both celebrate our anniversaries again.
We brought our 90 yr old aunt for our Christmas dinner with her and had asked for a quiet table if possible. We were seated by the window which was perfect - able to carry on a conversation with her without shouting, and love the ambiance in that space. Really appreciated the accommodation. Food was excellent as always and our server was great.
I love the Glenwood Grill!! I’ve been here numerous times and it never disappoints. After hearing great things about the burger, I finally went for it! The fried green tomatoes and the pimento cheese combined with the brioche bun make it fantastic. The cucumber and tomato salad as a side was delish as well. Their desserts are amazing too!!
We eat at Glenwood Grill often. The food is better than the cocktails. We have had check accuracy issue twice - billed for things we did not order or get. Both times with the same waiter. Check you bill. The food is wonderful - one of the best Shrimp and Grits anywhere. My primary complaint is that is it VERY loud when busy.
Chris and Bryce made the occasion perfect! Chris was able to move us to a table where we wanted it at the last minute. Bryce (waiter) even was able to gain access to a wine aerator that helped to make a poorer bottle of wine....better. Super evening as usual.
