Glen-Ella Springs Restaurant
Pecan crusted boneless filet, jasmine rice & carrots sauted in a toasted walnut butter
Sauted with peppers, onions, & Cajun Andouille sausage in applewood smoked tomato sauce over fried Parmesan grits
Pan seared salmon with choice of soy ginger or lemon cream sauce, jasmine rice & seasonal vegetables
Wonderful location and wonderful food. Looking forward to doing it again!
Off the beaten path, but part of the charm and worth the drive. A fabulous dinner in a most charming setting, a quiet, rural mountain retreat.
The Shrimp and grits were different at best with not much flavor. The chalky grits did the dish no favors and the mountain of onion and peppers made a greasy place for the sausage and shrimp to sit atop. The fried green tomatoes has a spicy topping with basil that was a bit overpowering. The service was great and the place lovely except for the roads that were gravel most of the way.
The food was good, but we were expecting more. We did enjoy the baked brie appetizer. We had the steak and snapper entrees. The snapper was not very flavorful. Service was good and the dining area was pleasant and quiet.
We ate outdoors, and the view of the garden was wonderful. Service was great. Loved the grilled red snapper and the crab cakes. Tables were socially distanced and all the staff wore masks, which was great.
Amazing, hidden out of the way Restaurant and Inn in North Georgia. The food is very well prepared and the attention to detail of each dish is evident. The rich history of the buildings and property lends a magical, old world ambience to the dining experience. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. Dine outside, it is worth it!
The location and grounds are charming. Our server was extremely forgetful and inattentive. There was a mix up with our order and it took an hour and a half before we received our entree. The food was terrible and not worth the cost. They did not offer to discount the terrible experience. We will NOT be going back.
Service and food outstanding as usual. We have been coming here for 21 plus years now and they have never failed to impress us.
We celebrated my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary at the restaurant and had a delicious meal, great service, and a wonderful time overall. Our waitress was new to the job (3 weeks) and she did a fantastic job!
We usually dine here at least once per month. It was nice to finally return after the national quarantine. The place was extremely clean, and the ambience magnificent. The staff was happy to be there and provided wonderful service. The food was incredible....everything on the menu is a winner. The gardens are blooming with floral colors. A real treat! Truly recommend!
We had a visit from our son and daughter in law. We wanted to go to a nicer restaurant and chose Glen Ella. Our service was super slow. It maybe was just the night. We were there last week and it went great. It seemed all the tables around us were getting served before we were. We will be back. Hope it was just that particular night.
Our third time here, and we will be back.
Glen Ella is always at the top of our list for special meals in a relaxing environment. A good menu, especially for fish choices. Expertly prepared, well paced.
It took forever to get our food. Beef tenderloin was fantastic. Other entrees just ok. Overall, a nice dining experience.
Absolutely incredible meal. Our sea bass was the best I’ve had and I’ve eaten at many top-rated restaurants across the country. Truly a hidden gem that I highly recommend.
We have been 3 times this month. That's an indicator of our opinion.
Everything was great. It was a beautiful evening.
Our server was Beth and she was superb! She knew the menu well and understood the dishes. The food presentation was pleasant and the taste was excellent!
A rustic inn with a nice wood-paneled dining room. The wait staff is pleasant and does a great job. Outside seating is available for those beautiful evenings. They offer one of our favorite wines, Sea Pearl Sauvignon Blanc
Everything is great. The beef tenderloin is especially great!
Quaint, romantic restaurant. beautiful gardens so its a beautiful place to eat outdoors.
food is always outstanding
Beautiful place outstanding service.
I had the beef tenderloin which tasted flavorful and tender. My husband had the chicken. It was a generous portion size and tasty. A sweet location!
Such a lovely place to have dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. Food is outstanding!
The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the salmon and the beef tenderloin; both were delicious!
The next morning we had an amazing breakfast! Thank you so much James!
Wonderful place that my uncle and aunt shared together to me proposing to my wife at Glen-Ella springs back in August 2019. To us spending our honeymoon in October 2019. We food is exquisite and the serve has always been top notch. This place is a gem.
My wife and I have been coming here for twenty plus years now and Glen Ella Springs has never failed to impress us.
Nice atmosphere. Beautiful stacked stone fireplaces. Delicious food. Beautifully prepared. Excellent service. Friendly cordial staff. A very pleasurable evening.
A consistently excellent dining experience. The ambiance is perfect, and the service prompt and courteous. Every aspect of the meal is very well done, from the beverage selection, the warm bread, the superbly done entrees, and the desserts. This is one of the superior restaurants in this region.
Everything was amazing from the atmosphere to the food.
Really difficult to get there during the night, is dangerous and no signs or information, no cell signal, is in the middle of nowhere. The food was not as expected, the trout was fried and impossible to eat, the lamb was good. First and last time.
Great food and atmosphere. Good for special occasions or just a night out. One of our favorite places.
I have been to Glen Ella Springs , many times, as I live locally.
The service was excellent , a new waitress, I believe,Dawn?
I had French Onion soup to begin , not the best I have had, not enough beef flavor in the soup , and it would be good to toast the bread before adding to the soup , to hold up the cheese, and make it more authentic.
My friend and I had the fish special , which was Bass , very nice, too much butter in the sauce, which made it heavy, and the broccolini was tough in the stalks, steaming might have been a better option, obviously it was cooked too quickly.
I can cook well at home, and would have been able to produce this meal more economically and better.
This is about as close as you can come in northern Georgia to having a Currier and Ives Christmas. My husband and I enjoy many dinners thru the year here but Christmas is always the most lovely with the forest setting and beautiful lights and decorations. The food is always superlative and service most wonderful. The only thing missing here at Christmas is the one-horse open sleigh. If Glen-Ella ever figures out how to run a sleigh on Georgia red clay, it will be perfect!
Glen-Ella is a great Mountain retreat destination in a region that has long been a desired location for the savvy suburban Atlantan. And Yes, the Restaurant is a destination in itself.
Second time here. Nice quite and intimate dining location in the Georgia Mountains. Looking for something different in upscale dining. This the place.
Excellent! We stayed at glen Ella too . Part of our honeymoon.
As many times as my husband and I have eaten here every time brings another winning meal and service! Hidden in the woods, it is a quaint, memorable place to be!
As usual, our evening was flawless and the food delicious! Love having dinner at Glen Ella!
