It took forever to get our food. Beef tenderloin was fantastic. Other entrees just ok. Overall, a nice dining experience.
We have been 3 times this month. That's an indicator of our opinion.
Our server was Beth and she was superb! She knew the menu well and understood the dishes. The food presentation was pleasant and the taste was excellent!
A rustic inn with a nice wood-paneled dining room. The wait staff is pleasant and does a great job. Outside seating is available for those beautiful evenings. They offer one of our favorite wines, Sea Pearl Sauvignon Blanc
Everything is great. The beef tenderloin is especially great!
Quaint, romantic restaurant. beautiful gardens so its a beautiful place to eat outdoors.
food is always outstanding
Beautiful place outstanding service.
I had the beef tenderloin which tasted flavorful and tender. My husband had the chicken. It was a generous portion size and tasty. A sweet location!
Such a lovely place to have dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. Food is outstanding!
The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the salmon and the beef tenderloin; both were delicious!
The next morning we had an amazing breakfast! Thank you so much James!
Wonderful place that my uncle and aunt shared together to me proposing to my wife at Glen-Ella springs back in August 2019. To us spending our honeymoon in October 2019. We food is exquisite and the serve has always been top notch. This place is a gem.
My wife and I have been coming here for twenty plus years now and Glen Ella Springs has never failed to impress us.
Nice atmosphere. Beautiful stacked stone fireplaces. Delicious food. Beautifully prepared. Excellent service. Friendly cordial staff. A very pleasurable evening.
A consistently excellent dining experience. The ambiance is perfect, and the service prompt and courteous. Every aspect of the meal is very well done, from the beverage selection, the warm bread, the superbly done entrees, and the desserts. This is one of the superior restaurants in this region.
Everything was amazing from the atmosphere to the food.
Really difficult to get there during the night, is dangerous and no signs or information, no cell signal, is in the middle of nowhere. The food was not as expected, the trout was fried and impossible to eat, the lamb was good. First and last time.
Great food and atmosphere. Good for special occasions or just a night out. One of our favorite places.
I have been to Glen Ella Springs , many times, as I live locally.
The service was excellent , a new waitress, I believe,Dawn?
I had French Onion soup to begin , not the best I have had, not enough beef flavor in the soup , and it would be good to toast the bread before adding to the soup , to hold up the cheese, and make it more authentic.
My friend and I had the fish special , which was Bass , very nice, too much butter in the sauce, which made it heavy, and the broccolini was tough in the stalks, steaming might have been a better option, obviously it was cooked too quickly.
I can cook well at home, and would have been able to produce this meal more economically and better.
This is about as close as you can come in northern Georgia to having a Currier and Ives Christmas. My husband and I enjoy many dinners thru the year here but Christmas is always the most lovely with the forest setting and beautiful lights and decorations. The food is always superlative and service most wonderful. The only thing missing here at Christmas is the one-horse open sleigh. If Glen-Ella ever figures out how to run a sleigh on Georgia red clay, it will be perfect!
Glen-Ella is a great Mountain retreat destination in a region that has long been a desired location for the savvy suburban Atlantan. And Yes, the Restaurant is a destination in itself.
Second time here. Nice quite and intimate dining location in the Georgia Mountains. Looking for something different in upscale dining. This the place.
Excellent! We stayed at glen Ella too . Part of our honeymoon.
As many times as my husband and I have eaten here every time brings another winning meal and service! Hidden in the woods, it is a quaint, memorable place to be!
As usual, our evening was flawless and the food delicious! Love having dinner at Glen Ella!
Food was tasty and well-prepared. Service was great. Overall experience was top-of-the-line.
I had the Rack of Lamp which was excellent. This is a really nice place.
Wonderful evening to celebrate our anniversary! We’ve celebrated most of the last 18 years at Glen Ella and it’s awesome each time! The beef tenderloin was amazing! Cooked perfectly! It was hard to not order the macadamia chicken as it is my favorite . Desserts are yummy too. The service was great as well. Don’t pass up a visit to Glen Ella!
The food was incredible! We highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was excellent, service was personable and attentive, and the setting couldn’t be nicer. Great place for special occasions and reasonably priced.
Great food and atmosphere
Food & service was great! The Shrimp & Grits were excellent my wife doesn't eat meat they made hers without sausage. My Tenderloin was excellent also cooked & seasoned to perfection. Will definitely return!!
Another excellent dining experience! Glen Ella never fails to please and we always look forward to our next evening spent at this charming place!
We loved the ambience of being outside. The food and service was wonderful and we will definitely go back again. One suggestion is that when they call to confirm the day before , let people know NOT to follow the GPS since it was a long, bump and uncomfortable ride!!
Superb service. Waiter (apologize for not remembering his name) was very professional and friendly. Wife and I enjoyed the information regarding the history.
Food was absolutely delicious. Scallop tortellini as they called it was more like ravioli but delicious and bathed in a lobster Alfredo sauce. The shrimp with andouille sausage was also fabulous. The views dining on the outdoor patio were stunning. Service was a bit slow and not particularly attentive, likely due to our being one of only two tables occupied outside.
Fantastic gem deep in the woods. Rustic and elegant at the same time. Food was terrific. We will return.
Glen Ella Springs is truly a diamond in the Northeast Georgia mountains! My husband and I’s first choice for special occasions or taking out guest for a fine dinning experience. The food is always top of the line, cooked exactly to order, fresh, and beautifully plated. My husband always orders the lamb but I love to try all their different specials. It’s always wonderful to visit throughout the seasons because they always have a seasonal soup or salad. That is a great way to sample the fresh ingredients brought specially by local farms in the area. The service is always superb and I’ve NEVER had a bad experience in the many times we’ve visited. Keep in mind that the food is cooked to order and because it is a fine dining experience then it takes time. Which is never a problem for us being that the view is always beautiful- the garden and the restaurant! Ed and Luci have truly transformed this historic inn into an elegant experience, sure to wow the most traveled food connoisseur. Go! You definitely will not be disappointed!
Great experience overall. Glen Ella is on target as a fine dining restaurant and meeting place. I recommend this over any in the Georgia Mountains!
Glen Ella Springs is a restaurant that we visit on special occasions. This weekend was our 28th wedding anniversary and we were both excited to be going. As usual, the atmosphere was great, the wait staff is superb, and the food simple delicious. I recommend Glen Ella Springs to people on a regular basis. I have been going for several years and have never been disappointed. We have also stayed there before and I recommend their bed and breakfast as well.
