My girlfriend and I loved the food here!!! We highly recommend the tahini with the flatbread.
My first visit was a delight, from the architecture, history, the mood, the vibe, to the incredible creativity and attention to the food. We did not need to ask for anything, attention to out group was genuine and keen. I will return not to mention I have already told others. And we came by boat!
Living outside the area, it took me 2 hrs to get here on a rainy night.
I ate at Glasserie when it first opened, so I knew where it was and worth
the long commute - but it changed.
The ambiance isn't nearly what it was - the choice of music didn't fit the
restaurant and the food didn't live up to the hype and previous standards.
We ordered the griddle bread - so good that it added a star. Brussel sprouts, as well.
Everything else - especially the main courses, were super disappointing.
Should've had more apps instead. Tile fish was so fishy, couldn't eat it, but maybe
that's my fault. I did specifically ask if it was fishy and was told with absolution, NO.
Can't remember the other main, but I know neither of us enjoyed it and left both over on the
We did not order desserts since nothing sounded interesting/appetizing - trying to get fish
flavor out of our mouths. Oh well - very nice waiter!!!
I've been here now twice and the food is reliably delicious! The menu is small and most recently I was with a group of 5 so we ordered almost everything on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed ALL of it. Also wonderful service and great atmosphere!
The food was great. They always have delicious and healthy options. Our waitress was extremely sweet and accommodating. It was the perfect choice for a get together.
Every single part of this meal was excellent, from the incredible flatbread and tahini dip, to the delicate lamb steak with sunchokes and chocolate sorbet at the end. The brussels sprouts are often something restaurants overcook and over-season, but the fried ones they had on the menu that night were so good — not oily at all but crunchy and essentially brussel-sprouty! Could eat them all day, every day. Every dish was like that — a full spectrum of flavour. One of the best meals I've had in a long time.
We had a wonderful time... the food excellent , creative, and delicious!!!!!
I was hesitant to go there by just looking at the menu on line, but fell in love.....
Scraped up every bit of leftover , too good to throw away.
Excellent distinctive meal. Each dish was a special treat.
i have eaten here before for dinner and absolutely loved it--such creative cuisine. i returned with 3 friends for brunch and though the food was still great, but the food portions were ridiculously small. We ordered the lamb sausage and both links added up to maybe one actual link. All four of us left, $50 lighter and still hungry. However, what we did eat was quite good. The cocktails were good if not slightly over-iced.
Great all around, as always. The food is without question a premier example for fine cuisine in Greenpoint.
This place was perfection all across the board. Each dish was better than the last, and the service was great. Try the feta and apples and the scallops!
Great food and ambience - knowledgeable staff.
Fantastic food and service! Our service was really great and gave recommendations, and was clear about coursing out our meal. Lovely vibe, we went on a Tuesday night so it was really quiet, but I've been on a Friday and it was full and fun. Amazing menu, not to be missed! Greenpoint Gem!
Too much salt
We chose this restaurant via Yelp as we were attending an event in the neighborhood. When we first arrived, the table to which we were directed was a little too noisy for my dining partner, but the staff immediately found us an alternative that was in a less noisy spot. That said, the restaurant is on the noisy side and could benefit from some investment in noise reduction technology.
Now for the good part. The food was fantastic! We started with the Labneh and grilled flatbread, accompanied by the roasted cauliflower and fresh Za'atar. Both were very tasty with great spice and flavor without overdoing the spice/heat. That was followed by the pumpkin Couscous and Broccolini along with the Lamb steak and Sunchokes. Again, awesome flavors and consistency; the lamb was perfectly done at medium rare. For dessert we had the Labneh parfait with Mint & Anise meringue and so ended as we began, with the Labneh. The parfait was delicious and refreshing without being too sweet.
This place was very busy and we could see why. Staff/service was great and the food was exceptional. Don't miss it.
The food was amazing, the absolute highlight of our NYC weekend. We had the mezze, lamb sausage and the chicken pita. I would like to give an extra amazing rating to the staff for being so accommodating with our obnoxiously huge stroller. They made it so easy to get in, they moved a table so my sleeping baby could stay asleep and I got to sit and enjoy brunch. That's a very rare treat for me and I appreciate it.
Glasserie has been a favorite of mine for years! Always beautiful! Always delicious!!!! Love!!!!
Large table nearby with noisy children diminished what would otherwise have been a great meal.
Never disappoints - we’ve eaten hear 6 or 7 times and have always had something new and exciting. Cocktails are amazing
Excellent food and service. Noise level could be reduced a bit.
Food was way too salty
Staff was great
As a party of 7 we tried "Meze Feast" and I need to tell that the quality and the taste of the food was very good. The portions are not very large but the good thing is, the waiters asked if we want any of them to be refilled. I think this is better than bringing large plates right away because we ended up wasting less food and only ordered the ones that we liked the most. We were all full while we left :)
The cocktails that we tried are interesting but it is possible to improve I guess. We were there only for brunch so maybe they are offering other different cocktails later in the day. I will definitely try their bloody mary (many of the other tables were drinking that) next time.
The ambiance is amazing. I love industrial settings and in this sense, Glasserie offers a very nice ambiance. The decoration of the place is also very nice.
This was our 2nd time visiting Glasserie. The first time was punctuated with great specials, great wine suggestions, great service etc. The food was outstanding. Everyone left full and we had leftovers. $50 pp for 5 people.
This last time was lack luster. While the service was still on point, the food lacked. We made some poor choices. No specials available.
The Herb Salad was little more than arugula & parsley (dash of cilantro perhaps) and what felt like a whole shallot and quarter white onion cut into 1/4 in slices - drenched in a lemon dressing. A description would have been nice as this small plate of raw onions was a terrible way to start a meal. Please, buy a mandoline plane and soak the onions in cold water. Portion size for this is also off for the $8 tag.
The Pumpkin Cous Cous & Broccoli was a great dish (note: Israeli cous cous and not cous cous). Well balanced and complex, it was the star of the evening. Again, portion size for a $20 tag is off.
Lastly came the Striped Bass & White Beans with radicchio drenched in lemon juice. The sour, bitter chicory ruined it. Pair that with the creamy white beans and you had a recipe for muck. A little honey goes a long way as well as soaking the radicchio to cut its bitterness. The fish was perfect although, again, the portion was off. We received what equated to a 4 oz portion. We shouldn't leave on an $80 tab perfumed of raw onions, faces grimacing from bitter sour, and hungry. The real anniversary celebration was hitting up pizza on the way home.
Wonderful place terrific food and all the staff was just terrific also
Creative cuisine fun place excellent service even on Saturday night.
The chicken is outstanding. We also really enjoyed the scallop crisp with Asian Pear, Beets & Pomegranate, Roasted Cauliflower. We’ll be back to try everything!
I love this place, the smoked eggplant is out of this world. Perfect for a group or intimate couples night. Delicious food. Wasn't a fan of the cocktails but I love the place for the food! HIGHLY recommend.
Best food in Greenpoint if not all of Brooklyn. At times prohibitively loud. Yelling over great food is truly unfortunate. Thankfully the noise level varies. Stay clear on weekends if you want to hear anything besides other people shouting.
But I must stress again AMAZING FOOD.
I've come to Glasserie a few times and always love the food. It's delicious, beautifully presented and has a great vibe. My consistent favorite is the labneh and flatbread. Would highly recommend to anyone. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Greenpoint.
Delish food, waay to loud. Loved the use of middle eastern spice profile (za'atar yum!). Got the sesame crackers (gluten free) and the roasted cauliflower, which was in a delish yogurty sauce and spices. Wait staff ubiquitous, friendly.
This was the best meal I had in a long time. I HIGHLY recommend it. The food was excellent, service was great, and ambiance is perfect. Definitely coming back.
The all you can eat mezze brunch is the best. Go hungry!! The waitstaff also knows you're there to get down to business and they happily replenish everything.
Delightful meal. Great for locals and visitors. Thoroughly enjoyed every meal we have had at Glasserie.
Love this place! Ambiance is great, staff is very friendly and the food is very flavorful. Will definitely be returning soon.
Glasserie do everything so well - the food is delicious and creative, staff are accommodating and friendly, and the restaurant itself is just beautiful. Only points off are for uneven food portions - we felt that with a limited menu (more focused and fresh than limited, nothing wrong with that) sharing between 6 we would rather not have ended up with huge portions for some dishes and tiny ones for others. It's a small point but we felt affected our experience somewhat. Otherwise everything superb.
Great restaurant and delicious food...2nd time here for the brunch Mezze Feast...the only negative was our drinks arrived after the food and our bill was wrong the first time...however our server apologized each time and corrected the mistake...overall very good
This was our second time at Glasserie. The food was great. Server was super friendly and helpful. We had a little bit of a long wait between dishes but the servers are atmosphere was so great it was easy to let it slide.
The food was good..but for 20$ mezze feast/person with a whole table participation required is outrageous. I came there for my bf birthday brunch with 6 people (so 120$ for 6 people). When the server brought out 9 small plates to share, we were a little confuse to which part was a “feast”. The server mentioned that the plates were refillable. When we were done with the plates in less then 3 minutes, we asked our server for some refills. The refills were 3 lausy plates, that don’t even qualify to be side dishes ( total of 2-3 bites). Bottom line, not nearly enough food for 120$. Go to any other restaurant in Greenpoint and you’ll pay less, have more food and be a lot happier.
Love the restaurant and have been many times . Only complaint is the music is always way too loud.
The restaurant is cute and the menu is very creative. We were a large group and unfortunately the restaurant acoustic was not great, so it was very hard to hear the other guests around the table and the waiter.
We order appetizers that took really long to arrive. I believe there was a misunderstanding occurring between out waitress and the kitchen. I know that their system is different from other restaurants and they serve plates that you can share. But it took a really really long time for the first one to arrive and even longer to the last one to get to our table.
Another waiter or the manager was very sorry about what happened and we really appreciated his concern and care as we were celebrating a birthday.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
