I didn't like how "small" the entry way was. The check in desk was right inside the door and made it difficult for people to come in and out of. And the only way to park was by using the valet. Parking was very limited, and if I hadn't had a reservation I would have kept going. The restaurant itself is actually a lot smaller than I expected and I can now understand why it is best if you have a reservation. The food was amazing and our server, Mercedes, was fantastic. This place is a good date night or romantic night out place if you don't mind limited parking and crowed entry ways.
The glass wall is closing and becoming a casual Bistro .
Sad to see it go. We ate there several times a year with folks from out of town or for special occasions. Was a bit disappointed this time with the seafood paella...and also I was charged for dessert we did not order or eat nor was it served!
Within an hour of returning home I emailed glass wall about that discrepancy but have not heard back. Sad!
Our server was not very good. we could not get her attention and finally had to flag down another server to take our order.
The attitude of the hostess was atrocious, and the table we were assigned was truly pathetic. Restaurant management should never put a table in a dead corner, bad all around. And the training of the staff needs to be raised several levels.
There were at least five empty stations, there were no people at the front, ZERO, the parking lot had open parking available, we had a reservation, but the hostess insisted in placing us at the single worst table in the restaurant.
We left, we will not go back, to be treated so badly, and we had a reservation, we were not a drop in, nor was there a rush. We cannot recommend this restaurant based upon the attitude of the hostess (12:30-1:00 on Mother's Day)
I wasn't sure what to expect but the reviews were very favorable so we decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did. There were four of us and each person had a different entree. Everyone loved their selection. We'll definitely go there again!
Menu has not changed since they opened. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it had been pounded so thin I could only taste the chip crust that was falling off.
We wanted to try a new restaurant for a special birthday dinner. The food and service were great and the restaurant is the perfect size to be relaxing as well. Glad we chose the Glass Wall.
Always a pleasure dining at Glass Wall. Chef Jorge & his kitchen crew, along with Isidro & the other waitstaff, & Jose behind the bar, always take great care of us. Delicious drinks & food, & wonderful personalized service. Moules & frites were out of this world delicious. The hard boiled egg sliders & pulled pork sliders are tasty bar food options. Combine the food with the cocktails & the service - we had a wonderful evening.
Had the red snapper. well prepared. enjoyed the ambiance.
Have been here a few times and it has been good. However, this time was not so good. We had a party of 6 and they put our table in a corner, instead of in a more open area. The restaurant was otherwise empty. Mixed reviews in the food, crab cakes had too much bread and weren't tasty, but soft shell crab special was good. Used to be a good fallback to go to. Not planning to come back anytime soon now. Disappointed in that.
Crab cake is a must try as is the house made potato chips!! They did. It serve Dr. Pepper so the boyfriend was a bit disappointed. Other than that, we loved the food and overall experience.
Everyone enjoyed the evening, the meal, the service, everything. Our out of town guests were impressed with the food & especially with the service by Isidro. Isidro is always attentive & professional & friendly & makes you feel special. Simply the best!
Very loud. We were seated at table next to kitchen which made matters even worse. Unfortunately, the hostess could not offer us any relief despite a couple of empty tables farther away from kitchen. Perhaps, diners with prior experience with noise level at Glass Wall requested these tables in advance. We'll take a different approach and try other restaurants in future.
Evident from the low patronage on a Sunday mid morning that this place is not popular.
Décor is nice so it must be the food....... and it was.
Tacos with carnitas meat didn't really work. Had to ask for salsa to give them some zing.
Short ribs similarly uninspiring.
Regular coffee was terrible.... weak and Cappuccino had that "synthetic" foam on top (may be due to using 2% instead of full fat milk.... not sure)
Pity as it's close to the house in a nice location. Won't be back.
