My favorite place to go in NYC! The food is always fabulous, the staff is attentive, and the seating is comfortable.
This is my favorite restaurant in the theater district. The food and service are consistently excellent. It is an attractive restaurant which is not noisy. The manager went out of his way to call me when I left a scarf and to mail it back to me.
Pretty good. Menu lacked diversity and service was limited. Soup was alright and bacon under cooked.
The restaurant was good overall. Clean, service good, attentive. Shredded carrots as the veg on a plate with Filet Mignon, not so good. For $40+ for a steak with mashed potatoes, I think they could have done a bit better with veg options. My only complaint, so not so bad.
Went for brunch and it was amazing! The food was delicious with many choices and they even had a price fixe brunch option for you. Our service was excellent and we will absolutely be back!
I absolutely love your food. The service this time was fair. We were 11 having brunch. It took a very long time to be served. The coffee was luke warm. But I still will return when we come from Philadelphia to see a show. This was the 4 th time we have come to your restaurant. Beth Stolinsky
Excellent as always.
Food and service were great
This restaurant is in a great location if you’re going to see a show. It was our anniversary and they were so nice to welcome us with a glass of champagne! Felt well taken care of and the food was delicious!
A great "theater district" spot that we visited on a Monday, so the usual theater "throng" wasn't there. That meant a quiet, wonderful dinner. The food was excellent!
My friends and I went to brunch before a Sunday matinee show. I had made a reservation and we were seated immediately. The staff was very professional and attentive and the food was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
We were treated very nicely, from the time we walked in until we left. The food was tasty and fresh. The bread pudding was great.
A great pre-theatre spot with reasonably priced food and great service.
Nice service and good food - seafood like crab cakes and special fish of the day were excellent. Recommended for pre-theater patrons.
My husband and I had the paella which we thoroughly enjoyed. There was a lot of seafood. Our friends had the lamb bolognese and enjoyed that as well. We were upstairs in the corner so it was quiet and private. They didn't rush us which we appreciated.
Lovely, pre-theatre meal - delicious food, nice service.
Food was very good. One of the nicest happenings was that Manager arranged us to be seated at a more comfortable table. We were on the mezzanine near the stairway, he graciously moved us to a table further to the rear of the restaurant. there was a lot of movement around us, Lovely! We arrived for a 5:00 PM dinner, it was quiet enough then but as it got later more patrons arrived it appeared to be a little noisier, but not unbearable for one of our party to hear easily with out too much interference from background noise. Would give this restaurant applauds. Food was delicious and service was friendly and great.
I always enjoy coming to this restaurant. I do have one comment to make that, this time when I came, and the last time that I came, it was extremely cold in there. I do not know how well the air conditioning is regulated. Both times we asked to have our tables moved. I totally enjoy dining here.
Good food for sure. Service was just ok- they were short of help.
Would recommend this place for sure
My wife, I, and another couple had booked reservations for a pre-theater lunch. Not wanting anything too heavy, I opted for an entree salad topped with rare sashimi-grade tuna, which was very good. Service a bit uneven but not bad. A good place for pre- or post-theater dining.
The perfect lunch spot in the heart of theatre district. It is a perfect blend of business 'lunchers' and theatergoers. Excellent food in a rather elegant room.
In for a show, met my brother and his wife who were celebrating their anniversary, given what we thought were (2) complimentary glasses of champagne, charged over $30 for this, they were none drinkers, so this was quite a surprise!
Other than that great place, don’t go on a special occasion without being prepared to pay!
This was my third visit to the glass House tavern and it was just as I expected. The food was delicious and the waitress that we had was very accommodating And friendly. I am looking forward to going back again.
Noisy with bland food and poor service. Had to keep asking for everything from water to check.
We had to change our table from 5 to 2 and they were very accommodating.
Saturday night dinner for 8. Upstairs, noisy room but fun vibe. Food was great, not too expensive, but service was slow- overworked and perhaps short staffed. Enjoyed it, would return
Steak overdone twice-salmon underdone twice..did remove meal from bill but just couldn’t get the food right
food was great. server nice, but pre show was very busy and made parts of meal seem dis connected. would be a better atmosphere if not so rushed.
Nice ambiance, great food and drinks
The brunch prixe fix was great and the food was delicious. We were very pleased with the service.
Glad we picked Glass House Tavern before our show, Hamilton
Very friendly service, good food and great location. We were there to celebrate my daughters birthday. Perfect for before the matinee of a show.
We had a wonderful brunch. Service was wonderful.
Not only was the food amazing, but every member of their staff was friendly, helpful and made us feel extremely welcome in every area of the restaurant and bar!
First time there and was extremely satisfied with service, food, and ambience. We picked it off the internet based on the menu and close to the theatre. Would definitely go again, and highly recommend.
It is my go to place for food, fun, fact finding, running out of fs I love the place
First time going to The Glass Tavern and i was impressed. Assets were the quality of the food, the overall look of the restaurant, and convenient location. i will return pre-theatre in the future.
Always a favorite for lunch before a show. The food, service and atmosphere is excellent and I look forward to my next visit!!!
We have been here many times, pre-theatre. Maybe it was an off night, under staffed and/or new staff.
It should also be noted that when we mentioned to management, they did try to make it right by buying us after dinner drinks.
We will go back because of the location - across the street from the theatre.
Hopefully next time will be better.
