You feel a great energy when you walk into the Glass House Tavern. The decor is soothing and warm and truly makes the customer feel welcome. The prompt, friendly service is delightful and the food is incredible.

Executive Chef Craig Cupani has created a contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.

A dependable pre-theater spot. Food and service always professional. Does get crowded and noisy, but that's part of the fun. One disappointment: my OpenTable reservation did not show up in their records. They did seat us despite this error.

Beautiful, clean and close to theater. Friendly staff . Nicely priced menu for upscale food😊. Does have stairs so be aware of this. It wasn't a problem for us. Call if you need an elevator to see if they have one.

Delicious pre-theatre dinner with very good service. Restaurant had a price-fixe menu which we took advantage off. Definitely was a great value and good options for everyone.

This was our second time coming to Glass House. It has become part of our annual NYC trip. The food is great but the drinks are lacking. We ordered a round of special martinis and they were mediocre. At $14 per, I expect a great drink, filled to the top, not half way, and to look and taste great. I ordered the pomegranate martini and it tasted like a cosmo, and not a good one. My friend did the jalapeño martini and liked it. We ordered a second round, mine being a lemon drop martini and hers being the jalapeño. Hers was awful and mine tasted like lemonade with a giant wedge of seed filled lemon, one you would see hanging off an unsweetened ice tea glass. I sent mine back after letting my bartender friend taste it. He agreed that it tasted like lemonade without vodka. I watched the waiter go to the bar tenders and laugh about it, and then the bartender grabbed the well vodka, and topped off my drink. When it came back, we tasted it again and it was still awful and the waiter didn’t seem to care. He brought our check with the drinks still on the bill and I told him I refused to pay for such horrible drinks, especially because they were still sitting there untouched. The manager was very kind and took them off the bill which should have been done by the waiter who knew we were not happy. The bottom line is, if you want to ask premium prices for your drinks, hire a mixologist who knows how to make them well.

We were fortunate and had second floor window seating, so we could watch NYC go by in a warm and comfortable space. Our server was excellent, just the correct combination of taking care of you and not pestering you. My friend and I both had the Pre Fixe Brunch, ordering the same appetizer and entrée, starting with a beautifully chilled martini. The soup of the day, Tomato Basil was warm, hearty and flavorful. (I would have loved to have it with a beautiful grilled cheese!). Entrée was the Salmon over Couscous risotto. Every thing was beautifully executed and well seasoned, the fresh roasted corn in the couscous was a star! It was a much needed taste of summer in mid-January northeast. The chocolate cake I had was tasty, server warm (actually, hot) with gelato. My friend has the Bread Pudding which had a decidedly French toast vibe. It was quite tasty as well. The serving sizes were perfect, we had a three course meal that left us feeling satisfied but not overly full.

As an aside, the table beside us ordered a varies of salads - all of them looked spectacular.

Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was horrible. We sat for 10minutes waiting to be served. Server who I think was really a busboy said shift change. Shift change at 8 pm on Saturday night ?
No one checked on us during any course. Water glasses never filled.

When I expressed discontent the waiter said sorry. Really a shame because location and food were good. Someone should be fired.

Unfortunately, my potatoes were under cooked. They replaced them, however it was about half hour later since we couldn't seem to find our waitress who did not check on us at all until we flagged her down so we were nearly done eating by that time. Two others in attendance really enjoyed their meal.
