We had a lovely pre-theatre dinner. We both ordered fish dishes and they were particularly tasty as was the kale Caesar salad. The restaurant was full but the wait staff took great care of us and got us out with more than enough time for our curtain. We will return!
We had a lovely time! Our waitress was wonderful and the food was divine.
The service was impeccable. I wish I remember the gentleman’s name he was wonderful. The price fixed menu is a great deal and you get a lot of food for your money. Definitely recommend it if you were in a theater area if you want a nice lunch or dinner before or after the show.
exceptionally friendly and helpful staff from reservation through dinner. Rachel our waitress was excellent and Anastas (hopefully I got it right) was very accomodating with our reservations. Recommending to friends and clients.
Perfect place to go when going to the theater! Wait staff was amazing! Crab cakes were to die for!
We went before a show and have never seen such a slow service. Literally took over an hour for the entrée to come and 30 minutes for the first drink. Would not go back
Great food and drinks
Mal servicio
Food was a little pricey, but the service was good and would definitely return.
Fast and efficient service. Good good ( Thanksgiving special menu)
We dined at the Glass House for Thanksgiving. It was exceptional. Staff was attentive and hustling to move customers in, without rushing diners. Our waiters were excellent and extremely friendly. Food was served exactly timed, hate it when they rush courses. This was Thanksgiving evening and extremely busy. Food was delicious with interesting and flavorful garnish. Recommend the scallop app, Apple pie but the seasonal pumpkin martini was the BEST!! Only con, tables are close together, conversations could be overhead so noise level was elevated. It would not deter us from dining here again though. Highly recommend.
This was our first meal after arriving in New York and we dined on Thanksgiving. My partner also proposed to me that afternoon so it was an absolutely perfect evening, made even more special by the delicious food (highly recommend the scallops starter) and amazing service. I didn't catch the name of our waiter but he was absolutely lovely. Thank you so much.
We were visiting form out of town, made reservations weeks in advance, dressed for the occasion and we felt like outcasts, ignored and unwelcomed. My husband's first bite was into a big bone. The food was overcooked, turkey was dry as was the potatoes with very little gravy. The food was all piled on top of one another. My child's pasta was bland with no bread! Drinks were forgotten. I understand it was busy and probably short staffed, but for what we paid it certainly was not worth the money. We were hoping for a relaxing, tasty, thanksgiving meal away from home and it was anything but stress, bland, overcooked, nothing to wash the food down with and dissatisfied.
What a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving Diner! Service was a little slow, but not bad. Highly recommended!
Perfect Thanksgiving dinner.
We had Thanksgiving Dinner at the Glass House. On the positive side, the food was great. The restaurant was extremely busy (sold out) so service wasn't as good as it could have been. We had bread and butter plates/knives at each table setting but no bread/rolls was forthcoming, even when we asked for them. It was expensive and so we thought the service should have been better for the price we paid for the dinners.
Thanksgiving feast dinner was perfect. Probably the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had (and it was warm!). Will definitely be back for pre-theater.
We were initially seated at a very nice table until the hostess decided to move our entire party to another table so they could accommodate a larger group. There was no logic in moving us because the table we moved to could have easily fit the larger group. It was disturbing and upsetting and humiliating for me since I booked the reservation.
Omg! Thanksgiving Dinner was amazing and so affordable. I did my research on where to eat after watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and booked ahead of time. The dinner was a three course meal and was so good that we plan on visiting this restaurant again on our next NYC Trip.
Or waiter was fantastic. Such a positive and warm attitude on Thanksgiving. Sorry can not remember his name. He wore glasses. Manager out front excellent. Food was top notch. Traditional Thanksgiving prefix meal. Wine was delicious. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving lunch was wonderful. The staff were exceptionally kind and they even handed out a card of things for the family to do in NY on Thanksgiving!
We went to the after seeing Wicked. It was nice to get a reservation at 10pm. Price Fixe meal was nice. Filet and Pork Shank was great. And the crab cake delicious.
The atmosphere is nice sitting upstairs . The server was wonderful but the food took a long time coming out of the kitchen , we had to catch a show and was rushed . That being said the food was very good!! The filet mignon was outstanding and the Pre Fixe menu was worth the money.
Greeted at door with a genuine welcome. Customer service was superb. Food selections scrumptious. Justin was observant and anticipated our needs throughout the evening and made my sisters birthday in NY a remarkably memorable experience.
I think the restaurant is a bit tired looking but the food was very good.
Great restaurant for pre-theater and after-theater dining and socializing.
The food is excellent and the service top notch. I would love to see more vegetarian options o the menu.
We never got our dinner. We arrived at 5:15. Told the waiter our show was at 7:00. No food at 6:30. Left to go to show
Recommend the Figgy Pig Old Fashioned. Food was outstanding, best meal we have had in a very long time. Will be are go to when in NYC.
Excellent meal again! Thank you to everyone at Glass House!
A very pleasant experience! Pre-theatre options were plentiful and the waiter asked whether our show began at 7 or 8 to make sure we were able to get to the theater on time (we did). The food was well-prepared and tasty. My duck breast was exactly as I would have wanted, my wife's shrimp/pasta dish was very tasty and the warm chocolate cake for desert was also very good. An excellent meal with really attentive service. We'll definitely return!
Excellent waitstaff. Not rushed. Close to the theater.
Glass House Tavern was the perfect spot for my group of 8 to dine before seeing SIX. We had a lovely oval table so everyone could easily connect over conversation as we enjoyed our very well priced prix fixe app/entree/dessert. Service was terrific - efficient and pleasant. We will be back!!
Food and service was excellent.
Bar area a bit noisy, but other seating areas are fine.
We really enjoyed our Prix Fie meal. Our server (she was from Ireland), was great, fun and personable. We will definitely be back when we return to NYC!
The sweet potato/carrot soup was excellent. Try the Fig & Pig Old Fashioned. Great pre- theater dinner
As soon as we entered we were greeted by the Maitre d' who was friendly and seated us right away up stairs by a window where you could see all the theatre goers since the restaurant was very close to many. First thing that we were asked, if we had to make a show time. We had a late show so no worries on timing. Ambiance was pleasant. Food was very good. Husband had Duck breast which he enjoyed. I was offered a taste and it was quite tasty. Another couple we were with had the chicken dish which was moist and also tasty. Not being very hungry I had the burrata with heirloom tomatoes which was the best! With the addition of a crab cake which was also very good and served with a splash of spicy sauce. I was most satisfied. We were going skip dessert but decided to have some which we were glad we did. Pie of the day was rhubarb which was excellent as well as the gelato. Bread pudding was served in a mold which was different but also Very good.
Most importantly, the staff were all excellent. We were very well attended to.
I would definitely return in the future.
Everything was excellent. We were seated on time, service was friendly and attentive. The food was great, from apps to dessert. In and out in under 2 hours and off to our Broadway show.
The food was pretty good—nothing too special. We ordered the duck, and it came with spaghetti squash on the side that had entire peppercorns, and they were pretty unpleasant to bite into. The cocktail menu could use a revamp. We don’t regret going, but probably wouldn’t go back.
They were amazing at meeting our needs. Got us out in an hour in time to see our show.
