Food and service was excellent! Made it to our show in a timely manner. Highly recommend!
Löcation Was great.Food was excellent .service was good.à Little noisy before theater.all in all was good
My friend and I each had the prix fixe dinner, and, at $44.00 it was well worth the price. We both loved the salad; she had the pork shank and I had salmon with couscous. She loved the chocolate cake and I savored the maple pudding with fruits. This place is a real winner!
Stuck with bar menu. Restaurant is way overpriced- day old rolls, horrible zeppole. Very disappointed.
We chose Glass House Tavern because we had a show nearby afterwards and because we saw they had a great prix fixe menu. The restaurant was very appealing, and although it looked full, we were seated right away. At first I was a bit nervous about receiving all three courses in time to eat and get to our show, but our server Cormac made it happen. Our organic greens, crab cake, filets, and desserts were all delicious. And we were only 4 minutes away from our theater. Great evening!
Excellent food. Great theater locale
Justin I waiter was phenomenal. He catered to our every need and we will be going back to this restaurant because of him.
The corn risotto was amazing but the service was slow and we waited over 20 minutes for the dessert to come and it wasn't that good. Dinner and drinks were wonderful though
Great service and great food. Dined with my parents after seeing a show. Server was kind and prompt, food was well-timed and well-prepared. All around a great experience!
Ben was a great server and helped get us to the theater on time!
The food was stellar, the service even better. I have worked in restaurants in NYC for four years and have never been as impressed by the quality of service from everyone we interacted with was truly phenomenal. (And thank you for being so accommodating even though we were late!) Looking forward to coming again!
Upon arrival I gave my name to the host and because of the mask he couldn’t understand so I pointed at his screen to say that was me and he became extremely rude and short with me, other than that our waiter was great and the food was amazing! Ambiance was just so so but the food made up for it.
The best service I’ve ever had in NYC! The people are incredibly gracious and accommodating. We were 40mine late and they still managed to get us out in time for the show. *And* since we didn’t have time for dessert they invited us to dine after the show to enjoy our dessert, which was just perfect! Thank you so much for a relaxing, enjoyable evening. Wish I could give 10 stars.
Great food Beautifully presented, attentive service
We went to the restaurant quite early, as we had theater tickets. We were placed at a table by the windows upstairs and it was quiet and very pleasant. As more people arrived, we wondered if the noise level would get bad, but it didn’t. The service was great, and the food was wonderful. We will return in the future!
We had an excellent meal at Glass House Tavern. Our server, Gabe, was lovely. He was friendly, accommodating and ensured we were taken care of in plenty of time for our show! We look forward to returning. :)
We love everything about Glass House & dine here whenever we visit NYC.
Love the 2 hostess that brought us to our table; Our server and his help was AMAZING. Noise level was my child honestly; very quiet; great music. Staff was attentive. Food was delicious, sadly not to my son's taste (it has green stuff on it - Parsley or Cilantro or something) so he wouldn't eat anything but his Chocolate cake with Ice Cream. Definitely will come again
The Service and Food were outstanding and were able to get in and out to see our show on time. Very Friendly and accommodating!
Great food! Awesome staff!! The location is great for Broadway plays and they do not take advantage! The theater prix fix is a great deal!!
We heard that Glass House is a nice and fun place to go either before or after a show. We went after and Upstairs was a bit sedate especially since it was later so we went downstairs. It was much busier there and I think they were short staffed, which is often the case these days.
Being patient is the key and once we got our drinks and snacks we were perfectly fine. Drinks are very good and the snacks were tasty.
Four of us joined for a very special evening. We were so happy with our experience. We started with champagne. They were unfortunately out of our choice but the replacement was nice. Two of the party chose the pre fixe menu. They both had the mushroom risotto to start then the filet. They said they were amazing. I had the special bass dish. Salty mushroom jus with perfectly prepared fish. So good! Another had the quinoa paella. Also delicious. I enjoyed the kale Caesar as well. We finished off the evening with bread pudding, sorbet, panna cotta and chocolate cake. All of the desserts are good but I loved the panna cotta the most. Our server was engaging and funny. He was overwhelmed to start as the theatre crowd was getting finished up but had more time with us later. Great atmosphere. I will return on my next trip.
We will be back! Excellent food and service. Four of us arrived at 5:15 for a 7 pm curtain 2 blocks away. Prix fixe offerings were tasty and always a good idea for a pre-theater dinner - order what you know the chef has chosen and prepared so it flies out of the kitchen. Modern decor on 3 levels, noise levels were good. We’ve had many mediocre meals in theater district. This was very well done. Look forward to the next time.
This is one of our go to places when we are going to a show. Their prix fixe menu is a bargain for a midtown restaurant. I had a delicious carrot-ginger soup, pork shank that was so tender that it fell off the bone and a maple pan cotta for $44. The food got raves from the four others in our party. Service was friendly and efficient.
Very popular pre-theater dining.
Good food and good portion size. Lively atmosphere.
The Glass House Tavern is conveniently located for the Theaters. I always enjoy good food and cocktails here. The service was very good. We enjoyed the atmosphere.
I am always thrilled to find a “goldmine” after choosing a restaurant. Glass House Tavern falls in this category. Pleasant host, superb server (Adrian was our designated server) who was attentive without being over bearing. It’s a fine line to master, and he did. His assistants were also great (filling water glasses when half empty and removing empty plates. We took advantage of the Prix Fixe menu and found ourselves raving about each course. I highly recommend this restaurant!
What a wonderful find for pre-theatre dinner! I really felt welcomed and as if I was valued as a customer. The food was excellent as was the service by Rachel who was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and had a great sense of humor. I am not sure if the gentleman who was seating the customers and overseeing the dining room was a maitre d' , or the owner, but he also made us feel welcomed and appreciated.
The food, service and atmosphere were all wonderful. It's a perfect place to have a nice meal and cocktails before a show. Right in the heart of the that district.
The watermelon salad was really good! So was the pork shank and warm chocolate cake!
Excellent food and service. The crab cakes were the best we have ever had. Great place for dinner after a show.
Server was terrible, constantly walking by without eye contact, never checking on what we might need or what might be wrong, or if we would like to order dessert etc. Justin needs to be trained. Ruined dinner.
First time and absolutely loved it! Waitress was terrific. Ditto the food. Highly recommend!
Our server, Rachel, was outstanding. I highly recommend Glass House Tavern.
Sooo glad that Glass House is open and, as usual, serving delicious food! There are occasional glitches (running out of some things), but how can that be helped in post-Covid times. . . ? The staff is terrific - wait staff / managers - are friendly and accommodating, Glasshouse remains a favorite destination when it's show time; it is warm, welcoming, and always wonderful!
Perfect spot to eat before a show
Cocktails were mixed perfectly and served by courteous staff, dinner was fresh and delicious and served by more attentive and professional staff.
Will absolutely be returning in the future
Great post matinee place to dine. Food and drinks were delicious. Friendly staff.
Great service pre-Broadway show, in and out fairly quickly. Nice variety of food choices to accommodate a family. Accommodated my vegan daughter. Very convenient location and good vibes.
