We always have a very good experience at the Glass House Tavern... whether it is a nice dinner out or a great chicken avocado sandwich during lunch. The staff is wonderful and they provide a personal touch to their attentive service. The food is very good and the portions are fair.
Very good food with a buzzy atmosphere. They are very used to catering for diners who are going to theatre.
Food was good. Nicely presented and very flavorful. My only comment is that the service was somewhat slow and not very attentive.
The food was very mediocre for the price of fine dinning, very bland. Some of the chain restaurants (Capital Grill, Ruth Chris, etc...)would have been better choices. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, so they sit us right next to the hostess stand for us to listen to the employees talking and laughing. If back NYC we would not recommend The Glass House Tavern.
Evening manager was top notch, polished, charming, excellent. Time to receive courses of meals was long, probably because we arrived at the start of the dinner hour, before staff was prepared. Waiters were polite, pleasant and responsive. Cuisine was very good. Location in Broadway area is excellent. Might return and would recommend.
Food is very good! Very enjoyable... have been here many times!
Very good food. A bit pricey but delicious! Went before a show on Friday night and they were able to accommodate the timing and get us out in time for the show!
A wonderful choice for our pre theater anniversary dinner. We were even given a glass of champagne for our celebration.
While looking for a place to eat before a Broadway show, ran across information on this place. EXCELLENT!!! Iyana was our server and was attentive, sociable and overall great server. We ordered the pre-fixe meals which are wonderful options. My partner had the filet mignon which almost melted in your mouth. I had the pork chop which was phenomena (juicy and flavorful)! We both had dessert with ice cream that tasted homemade. And the deserts ( hock cake and apple cinnamon bread) and loved them. We always start with cocktails and they were excellent (tasteful and potent)! Last, they thought a mistake had been made so the manager, Noel comped us without a request! I’ve already told two friends who actually live in NYC that they have to check our this place!
This restaurant never disappoints; every time we have been there, we look forward to a return.
Lovely meal for 3 people. Chef cooked all my seafood perfectly! Steaks were great as well.
Will definitely do it again.
Wonderful first experience. My cousin and I loved the pre-fix menu and choices.
Just OK for what you pay. Pretty dead which should have been a sign. My duck was good but my wife’s seafood dish was not
Love this place every time!! Great brunch before the theatre.
Excellent no rush service.
One of my favorite theater district favorite restaurants.
Convenient to theater district, not crazy expensive, and nice staff.
It was a quite night and the server was not attentive to us at all. The food was fine and it's so pretty but we had to hunt her down a few times.
We made reservations for 5 before our show , the waiter was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed and then some, some of us the pre fixed brunch and some of us order off the menu , the food was excellent! We will definitely come here again
Terrific service, great atmosphere on the 2nd floor, and very nice food presentation capped off a great show night in NYC! The Glass House Tavern has delivered a superior Times Square experience for me and my friends for the last 10 years. Our wine was excellent (petite Syrah), great salad & bread, and tasty entrees of roast chicken and halibut. The Glass Shack bar is outstanding! You can’t go wrong...the Glass House delivers a great nyc experience.
An exceptional dining experience in the theater district
Nothing special here. You can do better elsewhere . Menu was small not many choices.
We have eaten here several times but this was the first time the service was very poor. They gave us a corner window table and I think they forgot we were there. The food was very good and the restaurant is very pleasant
Taking my grandchildren from Boston and meeting my nephew
The Glass House Tavern is our go to restaurant whenever we are in the theater district. Menu, service and food is always excellent.
The prix fixe lunch is an outstanding value. The arugula pear salad, the avocado toast, and the cappuccino panna cotta were fantastic! This restaurant is a gem within the theater district!
Friendly people. Good food. Nice place for a quiet, can you believe it?...quiet lunch near Times Square.
By far, the best restaurant in the theatre district. Excellent food and impeccable service. Each course, from appetizers to dessert, was flawless. Waiter made us feel comfortable. We were not rushed through courses. Another lovely dining experience at the Glass House Tavern. We look forward to dining here again soon!
Visit yo NY. Dinner before theater
Pretheatre, and as always, the food was delicious, the service both professional and warm and when you hit it right, and we usually have, the ambiance is lovely. We were right at the fireplace, which is just a very pleasant spot on the first floor. We all decided on the Prix fixe dinner and the food was great from appetizer to dessert.
Excellent food! Loved the pre- fixed menu and getting out in time for the Broadway show!
Although we were seated at 5:10, our entrees did not come until 6:20! They knew we had a 7:00 show to be at. Had to eat fast, and got only one bite of my dessert. Not fun! Or enjoyable.
Good spot for lunch. Large portions. Nice salads.
The restaurant was loud, the service was poor, and the food was overpriced for the quality.
We had a reservation at 6 and by 7 it was quiet because everyone left for broadway shows. We had an amazing and fun time.
Good meal. Busy pre theatre crowd. Service a little slow but competent waitress. Excellent fish all around. One of our favorites pre theatre.
Excellent pre-theatre choice.
The food was fresh, prepared as we requested and service with Sarah, our waitress, could not have been friendlier!
Would revisit again for sure.
The portions were a small and the fish was a bit dry. Flavorful sauce. We did not tell the waiter about the food, so they did not have an opportunity to make it better.
food and service good, ambiance not great in room upstairs, hey should consider taken the old drapery off and reveal the wine closet.
Great food, perfect for pre theatre
