Glass House Tavern
Executive Chef Craig Cupani has created a contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.

Superb food, very good service, NYC prices... would definitely return.
Food was fine but nothing special. Standard fare, not innovative.
We dined at 6pm prior to going to the theatre. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet. We enjoyed the prix fixe menu which was a surprisingly good value ($44) for a three course meal in the Theatre district.
Father daughter day in the city - brunch and a show. Many visits to NYC but our 1st time dining at the Glass House Tavern. Very conveniently located less than a block off of Times Square. Sat us promptly at our reservation time, with a nice window table on second floor. Staff (Vanessa and others) was attentive, pleasant and wonderful. Food was great - daughter had the pancakes with fruit and I had steak and eggs. Warm baked goods were fresh and hot! We dropped the pepper shaker and it was very quickly gathered and replaced. Didn’t feel rushed at all. I thought pricing was more than appropriate for the level of service and delicious food. So much better than going to the name restaurants in Times Square which are pricey and serve low grade food just because they are in Times Square. We will definitely be visiting this establishment again. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, staff very well trained, polite and professional. Excellent seating looking out over the street on the second floor. I have been to many restaurants in new York over the years, but this one stands out as a terrific eating experience!
Had a very enjoyable early dinner here after seeing Saturday matinee of "The Waitress"
My birthday. And they gave us the dessert for free! Very special
Very convenient to theatre. Food was good, not great. Menu did not have enough non-seafood choices. We prefer the bar menu.
Everything was perfect
Pre-show lunch spot. Great service and food. Would definitely recommend!
Have eaten here before and it was always great
Not this past sunday
We were a table of two, stuck in a corner with a wall to my left side
The rolls were stale
My French fries were over salted
Our waiter was unintentive
In fact he never came and asked if everything was ok
My meal was just blah
Not sure I would retirn
I have been here many times. We like it a lot. It happened to be quite noisy today.
Very good food for pre theater or after. Very nice service and served quickly!
We had a great meal! Everything was delicious!
Had early dinner on a Saturday nite which began pleasantly enough but it soon became very crowded and noisy. Also service very slow - had to ask for drinks etc. However, once the food arrived, it was very good - we had the apple/spinach salad, scallops, salmon and branzino.
Very pleasant atmosphere, convenient location for pre-theatre dinner. Menu ambitions exceed the kitchen’s culinary expertise, but we enjoyed our time here.
The duck appetizer was very good as was the salmon. Very good service.
A favorite neighborhood choice!
Superb as usual. Can't get enough of their fish dishes. Most unusual tastes and served with cheerful server. Mocha panna cotta was a treat. Tons of thank yous to chef and staff.
We had an excellent meal at Glass House Tavern. It's in a perfect location. Definitely would go again. Thank you.
Food that was ordered was very good. There is a problem with the insufficient selection. There is bacon in so many dishes, including the fish of the day that one of us would have ordered if it didn't have that.
The soup of the day had bacon. many other entrees had bacon. one of the salads had a type of ham.
In addition, one of us ( a group of three)is a vegetarian and there were insufficient options.
Also, pre-theater matinee there are no 12 PM reservations allowed . they insist on 11:30. That leaves way too much time to kill before the performance. 2 1/2 hours is way too much time before the theater. Theaters don't allow you in until 1/2 hour before curtain.
Great place to eat before or after theater. Good food. Attentive service.
Small varied menu. Active bar scene. Fantastic proximity to broadway theaters. Best thing is reduced parking rates At lot across. Street food well
Prepared by knowledgeable servers
Food was good, quantity and quality equitable. Excellent service. Experience was enjoyed by all in my group. Thank you, would definitely dine there again.
We really enjoyed our experience - we will definitely go back - a great theater location!
Food was delicious and a great value! It was packed so a bit noisy with the theatre crunch time. In fairness, there were eight of us at the table! I’d go again.
Best Jalapeño martini. Not enough choices with fish or sea food that did not have meat included, but very accommodating to make an appetizer into a dinner portion.
Wrote that it was my husbands birthday, which it was. Thought they might say or do a little something. He enjoyed the restaurant though. He had never been there. Took a while for the server to bring hubby his second glass of wine!
This was my second dining experience at the Glass House Tavern and I look forward to going back. The choices for lunch and dinner are good and the prix fix option for both meals brings real value to a lovely NYC setting. The salmon melts in your mouth and the open range chicken has a nice mushroom sauce to top it off. With all the choices to make in NYC, this one you can safely make and have a good experience.
As usual Glass House Tavern did not disappoint. When we go to the theatre we also go to GHT.
The food and ambiance are wonderful but what sets this restaurant apart and above other restaurants is
the wait staff. They are simply the best. Knowledgeable, professional, personable and friendly but not
annoying. Our server yesterday was just perfect and made our dining experience delightful.
Any other times we have dined at GHT our servers have been memorable adding to the great food.
We left feeling more than happy.
Everything was lovely!
The service was quick and attentive, the food delicious. They surprised me with a birthday treat at the end of the meal, which was so kind. It was a lovely evening.
Good for pre-theater dinner. Was very quiet on a Monday night. Even so, wait staff was friendly but not attentive.
Had a reservation for post theatre meal. We were greeted quickly and seated promptly. Our server was the best! I wish I recalled his name. Very efficient and kind. We never felt rushed.
We opted to share several small plates and each was delicious and presented nicely. The fried calamari was tender and just lightly breaded which was perfect! The sesame encrusted tuna was sliced and barely seared as it should be. It was served on a bed of carrot and papaya noodles that were pretty and delicious! We also enjoyed the beet and goat cheese salad that was a wonderful mix of sweet from the beets and slightly tart from the balsamic dressing and creamy from the goat cheese. This was plated beautifully as well!
The Glass Tavern was a great find and I look forward to visiting again next time I’m in New York!
Very good spot for lunch before our Broadway show. Nice atmosphere. On time. Asked if we were going to a show. Service good and quick. Food was very good. I would return.
Basically disappointed I thought it was going to have a little more on Beyonce food was overpriced and always fair and taste
I have recommended this restaurant since I first starting eating there years ago. It has never disappointed. Our entire party loved the food, and the service was wonderful. Will be back again soon.
Our favorite restaurant in the theater district! Wonderful service , good food and a lovely soothing ambience that s a break from the frenetic pace outside.
Great location for lunch before the theater. They were very willing to add two people to our group at the last minute. Food was delicious and the wait staff was personable, attentive, and very accommodating. We will be back.
